2:10 I actually came across a traveller who said that shot in the knee phrase, so yes you are correct on that one. As a Skyrim OG I love seeing these cool references
The titanic skull is also one of only a few decorations that will provide environment protect like an enclosed base if it's made large enough and you go into the mouth.😁

The Titanic Skull seems to share the same model as the one found in the space anomaly "Grave of The Ocean King", which is a absolutely massive skull of a creature that likely could devour entire fleets in it's life.
With 2000 hours in the game since day one, not many YT-channels manage to to show me new things. You do, though! 😃👏 Thank you for posting quality NMS-content! It's very much appreciated!
Gotta say man your channel is by far the best I've seen on No Man's Sky content. Your entire vibe fits the game so well, chill and optimistic. Wouldn't you know it! We've hit 8k!!! Congratulations!! Keep up the good work!!!
Quite a switch there! Yeah, I haven't played much Destiny 2 since they started sunsetting content. I understand their concerns about maintaining and balancing so much content, but it really sucked that I couldn't finish some of the content that I had started (and paid for). I remember I had just made it to Mars when they removed it from the game. I love the gameplay, but the grind and constant power creep just made it too much of a time sink to stick with. Hopefully they keep improving combat in NMS! Thanks for watching.
Nice! Yeah, I saw a bunch of names for it on the subreddit back in the day. I remember seeing Geoff on Twitter and it seems that's the one the devs stuck with. To be honest though, you can name yours whatever you like. 😉 Thanks for commenting!
OH MAN! Just last week I found those circular orbs with the error messages on a planet! Yes! His LinkedIn shows he worked on both. Apparently he wrote a lot of the background lore of the three main races and more on NMS. Thanks for watching!
Drogadur IS the current capital planet. I'm not sure about the region of space but I do remember the post-origins capital Edit: another small emote detail is the laughing emote creating a laughing sound when not playing as an anomaly

Hey. A good video idea would be to make a list of all sci Fi references in NMS. Dune, star wars, hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy, 2001, etc. Not only in the achievements witch you already covered, but creatures, items, spaceships and etc, including where they are from.
Hey FYI your voice fellow Traveller isn't as bad as you think don't be so hard on yourself. We love your videos! I myself enjoy each one. Not sure if this is an easter egg or just well-thought-out game design, but I did a mission recently that required taking photos of a planet's environment. When I landed, I took a selfie with a valley behind me, thinking it would be funny to include myself in the photo. But, the mission did not complete, and I got a new prompt saying that I must take a *landscape* photo. I had to make sure I wasn't in the next one to complete the mission. Pretty cool.
I love that you caught that the name of the cube Geoffrey. Could not figure out where I saw that except in one of the update logs. Thought I had hallucinated. I actually have some thoughts on past sci-fi shows/etc. they may have pulled things from. That would be a fun!
Im 99% sure that Dancing emote is a nod to Shepards dancing in the Mass Effect series. I'm also fairly sure Ive seen some of the NPCs doing it in the bars of some of my previous settlements
When I investigated a crashed ship, it described it to be a predators ship. The interior was full of hunting trophies and inside was a dead tendrilled alien.

Lemmy, He Rocks! In NMS; Lemmium, Herox... I did not recognize that "Languages of Pao" reference. As someone who devoured old sci-fi for decades, I'm amazed that I never came across it. I know that I read Jack Vance stories - just managed to miss this one. Really interesting easter egg reference.
I have a companion that is literally the same as the one in the terrarium, the same color, no other stuff attached to it (like the one that inspired the blob that inspired the decal)
Number 18, might be a reference to Subnautica as that skeleton head looks almost exactly like the Gargantuan levathian skeleton head in the game Subnautica
I found a Dagobah like planet that had small yoda houses scattered about the landscape. They offered protection against the environment when you entered them.
I noticed the Anomaly discovery date and attribution in game. However, I did NOT make the connection to UNIX time. But now that you point it out...... (*sean-mind-blown-emote*)🤯
The anomaly discovery date thing is actually pretty creative. Spoilers: . Since NMS is a simulation, and the anomaly was there from the beginning on, using timestamp 0 as it's discovery date shows that the Atlas runs on Linux 🤣
Damn, I watched this video earlier today, then I started palying and after a short while I found a Gek archive where I got the prowiggles 'text adventure' AND saw a traveler who wanted to photograph me... I mean, I have seen these things before but what are the odds of having two of these happen at once, right after seeing this video?!

I did not recognize that "Languages of Pao" reference. As someone who devoured old sci-fi for decades, I'm amazed that I never came across it. I know that I read Jack Vance stories - just managed to miss this one. Really interesting easter egg reference.
This may be obvious, but derelict freighters are a nod to Dead Space 1, where you also enter a giant derelict space ship filled with hostile aliens.
I remember the ears fish, there were three options for word. At the monoliths it is a rara encounter, found it like a few times. It's rare
I wonder, is the giant skull a reference to the one in Subnautica’s lost river? Looks kinda similar.
I feel like remember you is a hint at the song “remember me” from the movie coco
I have definitely seen the bolt to the knee line.
I don't believe they updated the travellers dialogue for the galactic hub project.
Pretty cool ones^^
“Are you uncomfortable?” “Yeh :)”
I think there's one No Man's Sky title called "Every ___ Procedural" which is a refrence on a Sean Murray erotic fanfic?
I figured sultans of ping was in reference to a hit song by Dire Straits from back in the day.
Thank you now i know more about some things
A vykeen trader definitely says he took a blaster to the knee. I found the dialogue in a minor outpost but I don’t think that makes a difference
The anomaly discovery date thing is actually pretty creative.
Spoilers:
.
Since NMS is a simulation, and the anomaly was there from the beginning on, using timestamp 0 as it's discovery date shows that the Atlas runs on Linux 🤣
The portals that use glyphs have the star gate animation when activated
I got a squid ship within 9 hours in my first world, no portals, three hours later, I got the other exotic, the guppy.
Probably pretty low! Thanks for sharing!
