Passengers side coolant port removal lsx Silverado

I first tried to use an Allen head to pop that plug off, and what a finger hurting nightmare that was!! It just stripped right out.
I tried pliers and vice grips and both miserably failed.
I used the reverse sockets and it came out with mild work.
