The International Concertina Association (ICA) kindly invited me to play for its virtual World Concertina Day concert, and this was my submission. You can see the whole thing, which includes lots of players WAY better than me, here:
    Part 1: • 2023 World Concertina ...
Part 2: • 2023 World Concertina ... (I'm in this one, mispronouncing "Dovidl": it's DOvidl, not doVIDl)
I know I've already recorded Reb Dovidl once, but I couldn't resist recording it again in this lovely sanctuary I had access to for an afternoon.
World Concertina Day occurs annually on Feb 6, which is the birthday of Sir Charles Wheatstone, inventor of the English concertina (the Anglo-German concertina, which is what I play, is a descendant of both Charles Wheatstone and Carl Uhlig, the inventor of the German concertina at around the same time). One of my favourite traditional dances, and well played. I can imagine a day when you have this absolutely automated, and can play it in the dynamic and increasingly "ecstatic" Klezmer dance style. Come that day, I will pay to dance along. :-)
You've also done a very nice job in balancing the off-beat rhythm with what is (for concertina) a non-trivial melody. Your fingering remains relaxed and for the main part sits well - one of the (I find) major challenges of anglo concertina play.

Beautiful tune and fabulous playing, well done! The Clover sounds so right to me. Did you get the 30b+ Anglo you mentioned before yet?

Thanks Yuxin! Not yet... I'm on two waiting lists, and hopefully one of them will contact me this year sometime. Of course I still haven't completely decided on the ideal layout...

Oh, thank you so much, my dream came true! This tutorial is the best gift I've ever got! How to change it for Wheatstone/Lachenal?
Today I started learning to play the C/D 30-bottoms concertina. I started with the melody Corazon de oro, monophonic, without chords, it was too difficult. I hope that after some time, I will be able to play this nigun. I am so happy that I found your channel. I wish you happiness and good luck!
You are a great musician, I feel the real breath of music when you play.❤

Yes, this is one I play for Berkeley Morris! Though we have an alto sax which features much more prominently.
