I have lost count of how many videos I have watched on router tables but this is by far the best looking one I've seen. Will very likely base mine on your design. Cheers from Australia.
I don't know what is more impressive, your woodworking skills or your video creating skills. Very nice table, well done, well explained, well edited, well lighted and no annoying overly loud music.
Your explanation of installing the lift is the best on RUclips! I've watched dozens looking for directions as clear an succinct as this. Thank you. You're a great teacher!
Very nice! I have watched more DIY router table and fence videos than I can count. Your videos on the topic are by far the best I have seen. Your methods seem to me to be accurate, fool proof and easy to duplicate. I consider myself an experienced woodworker but you simplified things that I would have made unnecessarily complicated. I was searching for fence ideas but I learned of a lot of other features to add to my table. Thank you for taking the time to put this together.
Using dowel rod to clamp T-track and chair leveling screws made me smile but the toilet bowl bolts in T-track put it over the top thinking dang this lady has it together big time!! Beautiful design - thanks for sharing.
I’ve been looking at dozens of ideas but this is the best by far. I have ordered the plans and can’t wait to get started. Note : The expense of an off the shelf lift is beyond my budget so I’ve mage my own 😁
Well, I just finished this build! Wow. Wanted to thank DYI Montreal for these fantastic and clear videos and tips. Also useful were the links to the materials used. I used a different router lift, but that’s no big deal. If I had any recommendations to anyone thinking of building this table it would be to use good plywood. Spend the money for high quality birch plywood. My top ended up with a slight bulge. I corrected this with some laminated “beams” which I jointed and screwed to the bottom on the top, which complicated the construction of the base. Great build, thanks again!
You are such a bad ass and so inspiring! So grateful for all your tutorials as they have helped me so much in my own woodworking ventures. I’ve been needing a router table so bad and this is such an great tutorial to follow! Now time to try and attempt to replicate it myself lol….
Just watched you 3 part table build. I’m in the middle of doing much the same but adding the table to the end of my cabinet saw. Adding an enclosure underneath. Seeing the significance of venting the motor enclosure, I will certainly add that to my build. Not being a fan of melamine, I’m using two 22”x44” 3/4” birch ply and then laminate a Formica top. Thanks for all the well thought out tips.
Hello - I know this video is 3 years old but I gotta thank you. Its by far the best router table video I've seen, I agree with everything you did. The dowel trick and Weldbond glue is a great idea. Don't have to worry or fuss with countersinking the screws and making sure they are deep enough but not too deep. And It's great that your a girl doing a better job than most men. Please don't take this as sexist - - I think it's great that a girl takes on something that mostly men do. I'm sure it will encourage more women to try. My wife would say "I couldn't do that" and I tell her yes you could if you take the time and patience to learn.
The best explanation I have ever seen. Without much preface - short, compact and presented best. thanks for this video. It helped me alot. Greetings from Berlin
Once again, simple and sweet. Great job and very economical with all the features of a first class router table. The use of the table saw as a jig and clamping the track with the dowel = effortless.
Hi there. As a newby to woodworking (but an exacting hobbyist) looking to build some quality infrastructure, I'm very impressed with both your design, and your presentation skills. Thank you for this great resource.
What an awesome job on your router table! I am in the middle of my table and wish I would have seen this video before I started but the dust collection part was helpful. Thanks!
Hey Marie.. Love the look of this router table.. The issue I have with the insert plate from ROCKLER is the cost plus the shipping to IRELAND.. I would love to get it but the cost is too much so I will build my own lift mechanism in the future.. I'm spending monrey like crazy atm trying to get my workshop up and running so the router table will have to wait. I amy buy one of the TREND TABLES in the near future when I can see the benefits of such a spending spree. Not right now though Maire.. Ur table is sweet looking and I love the red accent against the white back drop on ur router table.. I salute u girl.
Inspiring, Marie. And your use of furniture glides to adjust router plate height is a terrific idea that I've seen nowhere else. The ease of fingertip adjustment makes it the best I've seen -- and so simple. I wonder if using some low-strength Loctite on the threads for the final adjustment would be a good idea, to prevent movement caused by vibration. Of course, one would want to use steel threaded wood insert nuts, instead of the plastic inserts, to anchor the bolts in the plywood.
For a long time now I've had my eye on getting a new router table. I was going to just buy the Bosch router table, but the price was way to high for what it offered. Watched many, many videos on building my own table but nothing really inspired me, and I always came back to buying the Bosch, that was until I watched your video. Love the size and the way its laid out. I've watched this video several times now and I've decided that yours is - by far - the best way to build a router table. Will be starting my build soon and looking forward to using this great router table. Thank you for sharing your great design. Job well done!
Thanks, it means a lot to me that the thought process and research I put into my builds has value and is useful to you. Thank you for your comment. Wishing you a successful router table build!
Thanks, I know it's been a little while! Feels good to get another project done. I've been wanting to do router table for quite a while too. Think you'll make one in the near future?
Thanks for sharing. Your design may have just popped in top of the list of router table designs I'm going to use as reference when I start to build mine!
Marie....Simply fantastic videos. I was looking at the Kreg router table, but now I am determined to build my own. Thank you for this great video series on the router table.
Great video, no crazy music blaring, and excellent presentation. Was just going to buy a router table, even though I know they're easy to build. However following your plans, its looks like I can save a fair bit of $$ and have one that is equally as good and of a decent, useable size. Subbed!
Awesome job the router table came out great. Also I love the tip on gluing up the fence using the table saw fence ingenious. Thank you for the awesome video. Take care.
Thanks Thom! I started out doing it another way and then it just hit me! I have such an awesome saw now, might as well use it in every way that I can. :)
Nice work! If you are going to make it make it good. Started saving my pennies for that really nice lift. I happen to have the same router table that you had, picked it up for 40 bucks at a resale shop. It was really a sweet deal since it had a practically new router attached.
Very nice! I've been meaning to build one for myself and this is a nice clean design. Just one thought: Replace the plastic insert for the leveling screw with a metal one. I've used those for something else and they wear out really quickly.
Thanks, much appreciated! I'm hoping I won't need to touch the leveling screws much once adjusted correctly, but definitely a good idea to go with metal for the long run.
I made mine the same way about 7 years ago. I need to redo the top but this time I’m going with MDF and laminate top. After about 4 years the melamine began to warp. My only difference was a combination t/miter track.
Great work. Generous dimensions that can come handy especially for longer mouldings. The Rockwell equipment costs a bit more but might be worth its value if it yields professional quality. Since mouldings are my specialty I would have used an even longer table that could be fitted with a feeder. Anyway you did a good job.
I love the design of this router table. I plan to make one in the near future. To keep the cost down, I’m planning to use a router plate rather than lift. Great table, great video!
I used the Kreg Precision router table insert plate levelers, just cut the hole in the table top same size as the plate. drew the leveler in the corner and set the plate leveling screws are built in

Great build! It took me a while to find a good video on how to do this. Yours is the one. Thanks!
Coming along great! I’m a fan of the laminated top. And the dowel trick for clamping the t track is brilliant.
Thanks, hope my boards will glide smoothly. Can't wait to try it out! Just waiting on my collar adapter for the router lift.
This is a nice looking table and is so easy to understand all the process.
A perfect video.
Thank you Ms Marie for sharing this video, it was sweet, short, and to the point
Thanks, appreciate it!
I really like your idea on using the Furniture Glides as "Leveling Screws", BRILLIANT!!!!! Cheap & easy to find, I love it!
Thanks. Great video - straight forward and clearly explained. Off to Part 2 :)

Best DIY router table video I've seen. Looks great and very do-able. Will be building mine based on this for sure.
The router table top and cabinet looks as good as anything I've seen that can be bought. Great job!
Thanks Phil, appreciate it!

This is the best DIY I have seen. Lot of great ideas I never would have thought of. Thanks for posting! Love that router lift from Rockler.
This is a great video. I ran across at least 3-4 simple tips/tricks that I had not seen before... Excellent video, thank you.
Beautiful job !! Now I know exactly how I want to build mine. I'll make mine so it slides away under my work bench. Thanks again !!
Sweet, enjoy!
Great video, no music and your commentary is perfect.
Thanks!
No music? Check the batteries in you hearing aid.
Trim rooter is what I heard! Nice build. Thanks.
I just discovered you Ms. Marie and may I say excellent job with the build, the video and explaining! Well done!
Thank you! Glad you stumbled across my channel :-)
Definitely one of the best made router tables i seen on here. I want to copy it

Thank you. Very nice, down to earth, practical instructions with some nice tips too!
Great job! I just picked up a router lift and decided to follow your design for my router table top.
Once again, simple and sweet. Great job and very economical with all the features of a first class router table. The use of the table saw as a jig and clamping the track with the dowel = effortless.
That’s what I was going for. Top quality at an affordable cost. Really happy with the result. Thanks Bob!
Great video was trying to figure out how to do one without dado until I seen you use pocket holes. I never done but tried it out love it

Thanks, really appreciate it!
Fantastic video. I followed it to the letter. Thank you for showing which router bits you used. I'm going to be watching all of your videos.
Thanks! Glad the video was useful and the details were helpful 👍
Fabulous video! The simplicity and delivery of instructions was/is perfect. Thank you very much for sharing!
Thanks, appreciate it!

Très bien fait et expliqué! Merci
Merci!
Definitely the best top I’ve seen on you tube, nice job!
The Odel trick is a great idea!
Excellent video, the tip on using two boards and the t track as a spacer to router the cut out for the t track is a great idea. Thanks for sharing 👍

That is some real skill!
Thanks so much!
That's one impressive router table.I'm in the process of re-doing mine, I'll take some of your tips.

Reppin' Montreal!
Love your shop..
It is yust wandeful, congratulations from Chapala Jalisco Mexico
Thank you!
nice work
Really liking the design you’ve created here, worth a subscribe and a thumbs up I reckon! 👏👍😀

You made that look easy
I`ve got that job to do in the next couple of weeks. Been looking & making up what I want, your`s helped
Awesome, glad I could help inspire your build!
Excelente trabajo muy bien explicado Gracias
Muchas gracias!
I love the design of this router table. I plan to make one in the near future. To keep the cost down, I’m planning to use a router plate rather than lift. Great table, great video!
Absolutely! A plate will work just as well. Enjoy the build!
Thats an AMAZING looking router table!! Great job!
thanks!
Nicely done. Looks like my next weekend project!
Thanks! sounds like a plan. Good luck with the build!
That's as nice a router table as you could find anywhere. Well done!!
Thanks! Can't wait to try it out.
A ton of great features on this table. Great job, Marie!
Thanks Bruce, had to put some thought into this one! ;)
Love this table. I am going to have to find a cheaper version of that router lift though. Pricey little guy.
I can understand that, and yes there are more affordable options out there. A lift makes it easier but you can get a simple router table insert plate.
Très beau travail! Merci pour l’inspiration.
Great job!
I used the Kreg Precision router table insert plate levelers, just cut the hole in the table top same size as the plate. drew the leveler in the corner and set the plate leveling screws are built in
Cool! Sounds easier than the way I did it.
thank you
Good job 👍👍👍👍👍
very much like your videos , lovely work.
Thank you so much!
