Much easier way to do this: take the amulet and go to the undercroft at skyhold, go to the storage chest and put the amulet in the chest, then go to the amulet in the storage inventory and at the exact same time, press the accept and cancel button at the same time. (space bar and esc for pc/ a and b button for xbox, and whatever it is on ps4, i don't have one so i dont know. Then if you press the accept and cancel buttons at the same time, it'll copy the amulet into your inventory whilst keeping an amulet in the storage inventory, and you can do this with anything that can go inside the storage chest, so if you dont feel like wasting materials on a weapon that more than one person will have, or if you need two of that weapon for the same character (daggers basically) you can toss that shit in there and copy it until you have what you need.
I love the fact that there are glitches that still work, to this very day, for all three Dragon Ages. These glitches really make the game easier in my opinion and make you feel as though your character has gotten extremely stronger.
This is about as awesome as it could be, especially for Nightmare. Still works as of 02/07/2015 on Xbox One. Might want to mention though that you have to complete the mission to close the rift under the lake first before you get access to the locked cabin.
First off, awesome post Fight, really appreciate the info. Just wanted to mention something real quick though. You do NOT have to be Inquisition lvl 5 in order to get the perk. The Agents you can pick up across the game DO count towards these locked perks that require so many to unlock. Just wanted to mention as you could easily have 2-3 of these guys before you finish up the Hinterlands and the Perks are so valuable. Other than that, thanks again for the awesome work :)
Robert Whitehouse A valid point but, the chances are, you will be above level 5 in the Inquisition level anyway. So fight is right when he states that it is a 'bare minimum' requirement to gain that perk. Having said that I wouldn't go out of my way to gain the perk that quickly and I gained the appropriate agents in order to unlock that perk without wasting points on anything I didn't particularly want.
michael vasquez you can find all 3 in the hinterlands the scout who varric can convince to seduce people for inquisition after you scan dead mage body. Chantry sister who is smuggler another varric or both with underworld knowledge. And the cult you clear the rift for if you make them agents. Theirs a few others but i like the dialogue option any way so i do those 3 dialogue then get deft hands.
30.08.2016 still works but I found it to be easier to take the amulet to skyhold and just dupe it using the storage chest in the undercroft. saves time moving back and fourth from place to place.

It always bugs me in Single Player games when they patch a glitch that nobody wanted a patch. It's more of a quality of life glitch. They did that with MEA with the research points I believe.

Borderlands 3 does this now, with the community finding something fun, then gearbox will come out and nerf it. Sometimes it's justified, othertimes it's not. Really, if modern games would just take a note from PS2/Xbox era and put cheats into the game themselves it'd be a whole ton better.
March 2023 Xbox. Still works. Save yourself the hassle. Grab the Amulet of Power and Malika’s Guard. Instead of leaving the area and coming back to the loot drop, take both items to Skyhold and use the duplication glitch for your personal chest. Duplicate both. One for skill points one for gold. I got 30 skill points in 5 minutes.
Looks like they are on to this. As of 3/15/2016 on XBox, when I go to loot the container, there is ONLY the amulet of power, no junk item with it, so if I take it, the container will be emptied. I've tried reloading from a save, and its the same.

I dont think its bad these type of glitche are in. Maybe they even left it in on purpose. I mean you play a single player game, somyour not cheating anybody. Its my game if i would want to start the game with a maxed out character i should be able to. First off, I play this on PC, so for anyone who's like me, the inventory dupe-glitch DOES NOT WORK. However, if you do just grab from the "loot spot", go to another area, and come back (making sure to loot only the amulet of power of course), the dupe glitch does still work. Just wanna confirm, FEB 2nd, 2019, this glitch DOES STILL WORK. :)
I tried this finally after completing the dam at crestwood. It appears this glitch has been fixed, as there is only one amulet of power at the bear's paw rug, and no other items, so if I take it, it will not respawn... true enough, it didn't.
Hi, I found a better way to get infinity skill points and dupe items. Works with latest patch. So while fixing chest loot method they added a storage ingame at skyhold. Grab amulet from Crestwood and go to storage, open storage and press A+B at the same time on amulet, it will now be in your inventory and storage. Then open storage and press A+B again and another one will go to your inventory and so on. Also works with every weapon, armor, belt ring.

In the Forbidden Oasis in the temple with the fire, ice and lightning doors that you need the shards to open theres one in the last coffin of the ice room
I've done this about 20 times, and it seems like it's making the game laggy or something. It freezes up for a few seconds sometimes, and I saw a npc walk by at lightning speed. Don't know if that's what it is but it didn't start doing that till I did this a lot.
On the Xbox 360 they patched it so there's only the amulet in the chest XD but that shouldn't matter since you can still duplicate it using the storage chest in the undercroft
All your other videos have helped out alot im on my 3rd or fourth game after a while and I wantes too test some of these gliches out... it won't work for me on my PS3 I think it may have been patched not sure but there is no gold bracelet with it in mine

i know this is years later but you dont have to be a rogue. you just need to have a rogue in your party to open it with the inquisitionperk he shows in the video
you also shouldve added that there is a way to do this for both cole and cassandra. through same means. that amulet of power is for inquistor only both the one for cass is in fallow mire and cole is in skyhold in the top of the tavern and you can switch all three over and over and have 3 maxed out players varric i havent confirmed nor blackwall and etc but i will find more ways

for anyone looking now: they sorta patched this, it still works, but they moved the amulets to chests with single items only. however, there's a way to dupe stuff (mostly equipment) and the amulets are all equipment, so you could get max skills for everyone anyway, and not just the few characters with an amulet you can get like this.
Think they patched it. Spent the time to go through the quest line to get the coward out of there, when I went to loot it the only thing to loot was the necklace. Doesn't work if there's nothing to leave. Bummer too.

Still works on pc version. Takes a while, i wouldn't want to imagine the loading screens without an ssd and high end pc because this would take forever. Still faster then leveling up.

While this has already been patched and is no longer possible, I'd like to point out that when it says in the Inquisition Perks menu that 3 or 4 perks are required to unlock something such as the Deft Hands, Fine Tools perk, you do not actually need to have used perks in any of the other ones listed there. Agents count as perks. So, if you have already recruited 3 or 4 agents and see them listed there, you need only add whatever is missing for the required number. That way you don't waste any perks on things you might not want or need in order to get the ones that you do.
Works with fade rifts, meaning XP items to turn into for research! Know if it works with dragon remains? I'm trying to level up to get past nightmare. What research items is worth the most XP?
I do have some pretty amazing items and armor all at level 15 right now but I just want to be done with nightmare already.. next quest recommends up to level 19 before playing it.
What are the best things to have equipped? I have everything unlocked for him right now I have Blizzard, Chain lighting, revival, winters grasp, mind blast, mark of rift, barrier immolate and dispel are those the best you think?
I have all the abilities unlocked and all four barrier ones equipped? Also you think knight enchanter is the best so you get that kick ass sword attack I remember using Viveine on my last playthrough making 2000+ hits!

Mischievous is the name of his character. The amulet can only be equiped by the player character.

does this still work with the most recent patched version of the game? Do all the other glitches still work or have they been fixed?

Just realized I had a Amulet of Power but sold it without knowing what it was
It doesn't work anymore there's only the amulet there so no respawn 😞
Still works on pc version. Takes a while, i wouldn't want to imagine the loading screens without an ssd and high end pc because this would take forever. Still faster then leveling up.
also lol I liked that "take the magic out of the first play through" comment because thats kinda exactly the opposite of what it does if you catch my drift.
While this has already been patched and is no longer possible, I'd like to point out that when it says in the Inquisition Perks menu that 3 or 4 perks are required to unlock something such as the Deft Hands, Fine Tools perk, you do not actually need to have used perks in any of the other ones listed there. Agents count as perks.
So, if you have already recruited 3 or 4 agents and see them listed there, you need only add whatever is missing for the required number. That way you don't waste any perks on things you might not want or need in order to get the ones that you do.

I have a question. I've heard that you don't have to use this trick to activate all abilities or else you can't level up anymore. is it true or not?
I can confirm this however if you loot a enemy and leave him he respawns I intend to test it on a dragon

Works with fade rifts, meaning XP items to turn into for research! Know if it works with dragon remains? I'm trying to level up to get past nightmare. What research items is worth the most XP?
I do have some pretty amazing items and armor all at level 15 right now but I just want to be done with nightmare already.. next quest recommends up to level 19 before playing it.
I float all over I don't do every quest in every city this is just my nightmare run, playing as a mage though.
What are the best things to have equipped? I have everything unlocked for him right now I have Blizzard, Chain lighting, revival, winters grasp, mind blast, mark of rift, barrier immolate and dispel are those the best you think?
Also is level 15/16 good enough for "what pride had wrought"?
I have all the abilities unlocked and all four barrier ones equipped? Also you think knight enchanter is the best so you get that kick ass sword attack I remember using Viveine on my last playthrough making 2000+ hits!
