Yeah i can attest to that. For me, it is the never ending elemental resistances. I do amazing damage to this group... Then the next group I do a SINGLE POINT OF DAMAGE because they are effectively immune to my current staff... Fuck.
Haha, my thoughts exactly ^^ Especially those red templars took ages to take down (archer Inq). I have often felt the fights are a lot more challenging than they should be. Pity the game doesn't give you too many clues on crafting etc. Nice vid, thank you! I'll have to do another playthrough, prolly with a mage or a 2h warri - later. Atm I'm way too upset with the ending of Trespasser -.-
It took you 3 hours to get to Skyhold? I've been playing for 27 hours and only just got to Skyhold an hour ago. And I thought I was playing too fast, lol.
BaKon 25 hours 37 minutes, i know because i keep a save just before you get to skyhold and i wanna play again but am not bothered with all the pre-skyhold hassle
Yeah when I played nightmare mode I leveled up to level 12 or 13 before I got to skyhold. I tried to do the final quest in haven at around level 10 and could not get past the trebuchet part so I reloaded and leveled up. It was still tough at level 13.
I managed to become OP in the beginning by grinding. I did (and still do) literally everything when I get to an area. all the quest, locations, and collectables and I get so many rewards and so much experience I'm so damn powerful. I was level 12 when I got to skyhold! so I just grind and I just tear ass everywhere I go
I harvested iron and Druffalo hides at Haven for hours to craft armor and weapons from my Golden Nug. My equipment was equal to a level 25 player before I ever left Haven. Now I'm at Skyhold and my weapons and armor are as high as the game will ever allow and I haven't done a story quest from the War Table yet.lol....Level 14 and already nearly invincible on Insanity level. Already killed all three dragons at Emprise de Lion. hahaha
I was level 5 at Skyhold with all my gear maxed out. Just sayin...Of course,my goal was to reach Skyhold at or below level 5. That's harder than it sounds.
You can get super op in the Hinterlands. In Valammar, there is 1 chest that can drop T3 scematics. If you leave 1 iteam in the chest and come back it will have new items. Do that a few times and your whole party can have all tier 3 weapons and armor.
@@NorthernKindness It's in the last Room in Valammar, which you open with the 2 dwarven gears and you have to fight all those darkspawns. There is 1 chest slightly hidden on the right side of the room (where all the darkspawn are coming from), which can drop T3 schematics. If you leave at least 1 item in that chest (and this is true for every chest) and come back, it will reset. I found the easiest way to farm them is leaving Valammar after clearing everything and when you come back save the game before opening the door to that room (this time you can enter from the other side). The content of the chest is determined the moment you enter the room so you just load the game until you find what you are looking for. Then exit Valammar and do the same again until you are satisfied. Just remember that once you take the last item it's empty forever, so when there is only 1 schematic and nothing else you have to decide whether that schematic is worth it or not.
Use the Golden Nug as soon as you get to Haven and get all of your schematics from previous playthoughs. In my head canon, my character is a dealer in rare schematics who went to the conclave to do business and his company is called "The Golden Nug" explaining why he has all of these. Let's say you are a Knight Enchanter. You can go around Haven and kill rams for a while and then take on the druffalo and get more leather. Most staffs require cloth, but not the Wrath of Lovias schematic. It only requires metal and leather which you can get at Haven without going anywhere else. You can also set up Cassandra with a good weapon and make daggers for Varric while farming Haven. Once you get to Skyhold, if you have previously done the Jaws of Hakkon, you go to that area. You can avoid everything, go to Stonebear hold, get the quest and buy a Crossbow add in for Varric that gives him 180 dps which makes him playable with Bianca.
Sjard Willems v if you've already beat all the dragons once with one of your characters and beat the game in general, you can get the chromatic great sword schematic for any one of your warriors (does elemental damage as well as physical damage) and have the trespasser dlc (I think) an get the roll ability for a warrior and get the upgrade that does 250% weapon damage and I just kept on doing 2500 elemental damage along with 2500 physical damage, so a total of five thousand damage. But, as I said, to get it early on for any of your characters would require you to beat the game and kill all the dragons, get the schematic, and probably have the trespasser dlc (pretty sure that's it). I was able to kill the dragon in the very first place at level four.
If you want to level up quickly go to the fallow mire and just fight the undead don't deal with any of the fade rifts and don't do any quests there just fight the undead and you level up pretty quickly. That is one of the fastest ways I've found to level up fast.
easier guide to be op get to skyhold, complete "still water" quest in crestwood. get amulet of power for player character. duplicate via skyhold stash. win
As someone with 1000+ hours in the game, I can tell you how to be overpowered pre-Skyhold: 1: Farm critters for mats: rams, fennecs etc. and craft gear for your entire party. This is the single most important thing. 2: Pick the proper spells and talents: you cannot beat Nightmare + Trials early without Dispel and Barrier; crowd control abilities are important as well. 3: Master combos: the bonus combo damage is essential early. Combos are done with Primer + Detonator. Make sure the detonator ability comes from a class different from the one who primed the target (ex: Winter's Grasp from a mage as primer, Long Shot from rogue as detonator). 4: The defense of Haven is the hardest part before Skyhold. Do that mission with 2 mages who have Barrier OR 2 tanks. If you do the above well, you won't feel pressured to rush to Skyhold and therefore having a bad time during the defense of Haven due to lack of spells/talents. My personal suggestion would be around levels 7-9. Congratulations. You just beat pre-Skyhold on Nightmare + Trials without issues.
After lvl 10 in the game, everything becomes easy, the problem is probably because people who are new to the game, don't know the resistances of the enemies, I always give my mages skills based at fire or ice, after skyhold, dorian doesn't even need fire skills anymore, I use him as a full support and upgrade the first 2 ice skills, blackwall as a tank and any rogue I feel I want in my party, I usually play as a two handed reaver, I don't even pause the game, I do it sometimes but only when the IA mess up something, like the rogue or the mage being near the enemy and taking damage.
I almost always end up overpowered before Skyhold. I tend to complete every area, one at a time, collect every herb and ore... pretty much everything I can find. I send armor, upgrades and arms I don't use to the to the valuables and sell it. My current playthrough has been odd.... I had to intentionally avoid upgrading my gear much to give myself a challenge, so I bought schematics but not the materials (also because money is difficult to come by but that's a different problem). By the time I went to the Hissing Wastes and reached the dragon, I was... about 2 levels bellow what the dragon usually is without the trials (because I play with trials), and Blackwall pretty much held on alone against it. Once I had an opening, I did resurrect the other characters but because I couldn't be bothered to fight the dragon for literal hours upon hours. I also remember my first mage build - a Qunari Knight Enchanter. I pretty much single-handedly killed dragons.
Except the main quest right before you get to skyhold is probably the most difficult battle in nightmare mode. I probably spent an hour on the battle where u have to aim the trebuchet while fighting waves of enemies. It's the only battle that was a "nightmare" for me. I took out Corypheus in like 10 minutes.
AOE attacks are your friend in that part spam them and also have a tank npc party member no matter what and if a mage use the ice spells as it makes the enemies in that area so slow they die before getting close
Killed the dragon in the hinterlands at level 10, some party members were 11. I had solas, iron bull, and Cassandra in my party. Ne and Cassandra were regular knights so we absorbed a lot of damage while buffing the party, I upgraded solas so that he can revive dead player from far away and grant some protection upon revival. Also upgraded the slow heal potion for the melees in my party and had lyrium potions for solas.
I have to correct you on something. Fade touched item effects do not stack unless you use 2 different tier versions of them. For example... Fade touched silverite 5 guard on your armor. And fade touched silverite 5 guard on your weapon. You still only get 5 guard per hit. The only way to stack the effect is if you use 2 different versions of the same effect. For example... If you use 10% chance to trigger hidden blades with four hits and stack that with 10% chance to use hidden blades with five hits, then and only then, can you get the 20% chance activation. Although it's 10% chance for each version of it. Doing it this way also gives you a chance for both to activate at the same time or back-to-back. Giving you nine additional hits in the combo. The only way to stack the guard affect is if you use fade touched silverite plus fade touched obsidian. Then you wind up getting a guard / hit. If you use weapon shield and armor for the fade touched obsidian plus the fade touched silverite and there is also a fade touched item that gives to guard her head then you can get tengard per hit. If you use two dual blades plus armor for a rougue. With hidden blades 3 hit combo plus hidden blades for hit combo plus hidden blades 9 hit combo then you can get a 30% overall chance of activating hidden blades with a chance to activate all three at once or back to back in the same combo adding up to 12 additional hits. Personally I would go with hidden blades chain lightning and 5 guard on a rogue. If you activate the chain lightning there's a chance that it can activate the hidden blades affect. Plus chain lightning will stun the enemies. I'm currently running a qunari mage. I will make her a night in chancer using mass attacks such as area effects chain lightning immolate and fully upgraded Winters grasp which is called Winters chill in addition to ice wall firewall and stormbringer so that I have the best chance to cast hidden blades on my attacks and I will have her with fade touched silverite on her armor. this way I can damage groups while also swinging my spirit blade between Magic attacks. I will do massive damage to groups of enemies and have a high activation rate for hidden blades with five extra hits. If you are running a rogue there is a DLC that provides a fade touched silverite with a chance to cast chain lightning at 100% weapon damage for the base version which is four hits. There is also a fade touched item in that same DLC that offers a chance to cast hidden blades with 6 extra hits. If you put these on your Rogues weapons with fade touched silverite 5 armor per hit then you can truly be unstoppable. Put those on a shield Warrior and they will be unstoppable. You only get one of each of those fade-touched items though so don't waste them. If you are running to robes I would make a dual blade with each attack affect and use the storage chest with the duplication glitch so that you can have two tier 4 dual blades one with chain lightning 100% weapon damage and one with hidden blades six hits on both of your Rogues. The DLC for those fade-touched items is the one where you look for what happened to the first Inquisitor. You also fight an ancient ice dragon that gives you unique tier 4 materials. Also once you've unlocked an area that has tr3 materials you can simply buy those at the black Emporium. In addition once you have defeated a dragon you can buy TR4 Dragon materials at the black Emporium a maximum of 100 bone 100 scale and 100 webbing. Once you defeat the ice dragon in the DLC I mentioned you can buy up to 90 ice dragon bone up to 90 ice dragon scales and up to 90 ice dragon webbing. the tier 4 ice dragon materials are similar to The tier for Dragon materials except where the dragon materials offer fire resistance the ice dragon materials offer ice resistance. I'm not entirely certain what they offer for all sense or utility but I recall they are geared toward Warriors stats.
Since skill masterworks don't stack I would recommend either 1 4 hit hidden blade or something else of your choice. the invicibility skill ones wouldn't be a bad choice either. Also, the snow fleur hides are good to farm for leather armors defense early on as well. Also, drops may be lower before level 16, but for gear the slow farm can be well worth it if you are struggling with tier 2 crafting mats. You can also farm more tier 3 schematics in emprise du lion if solving the tomb puzzles isn't your thing. I didn't have any trouble with this game at all until I got to the trespasser dlc, but I was also under par on level requirements and gear.
After i made a new character on nightcore + trials I accidentally clicked on the golden nug. Suddenly i had 50,000,000 schematics. Now im running with super OP stuff making even nightmare + trials easy xD and i just used iron
The Hissing Wastes is not available to be unlocked right away once you reach Skyhold. This video was made nearly a year and a half ago. Did this "exploit" get patched out since then? Edit: It would have been much more helpful to mention up front that you need 20 power to unlock the "Stop Venatori Activity in the West" in order to access "The Hissing Wastes" instead of misleadingly giving the impression that it's simply available right away once you get to Skyhold.
Legion of the Dead Armor can only be used by Dwarf Warriors, unless you make it out of Silverite. That material removes the class restrictions for armor types, so you can make a suit of heavy armor out of silverite and give it to a mage. Otherwise, the only person who can use LotD is the Inquisitor if they're playing a Dwarf Warrior.
I'm sure you know this by now but, for the people who don't, masterworks of the same tier do not stack. Masterworks of different tiers do stack, however. What I'd recommend on DW rogues is Hidden Blades, 5 hits and 7.5% damage per nearby enemy/Hidden Blades, 4 hits.
I literally got done with my late, late first playthrough. My archer tempest rogue was so overpowered. I think my knack for completing the majority of an area is the reason why. I don't know, I just like getting certain quest out the way while I'm there. I started my dual dagger female dwarf right after I completed my first play-through. I tried a two-handed warrior, but decided to go the rogue root again. Rogues are just too fun.
Favorite build is the immortal tank. Sword and shield guard build with fade-touched silverite one my axe, shield and armor. You can solo a dragon simply by building guard faster than they can hurt you. +15 guard/hit is disturbingly OP.
tire four well you goota get to level I think around level 17 for tier 3 I meant tier 3 for tire four if you have the deep roads DLC don't open the loot crates at the first camp until level 13 to get a crate of tire 4 items and tire four schematics
Here is some feedback and hopefully it is helpful information. I think you are trying to help new players but from my perspective you are talking way over the head of any one who is not very familiar with this game. While I’ve played DA, DAO and now this game, it’s been several years since I played the last one which was DAO. Here, I had no good understanding of what you are talking about until I was well past this point of “early in the game”. If you are going to try to help others you really should be much more explanatory in your discussion so you don’t lose your audience. Here are some examples. This is “early on” in the game as discussed at around the 1:00 mark? I was thinking I had some problem with my game. It took me several days to get to Skyhold. Three hours? Maybe for somehow is not new to the game but I was still trying to figure out many things so I had no clue and you provided no explanation. You then mention taking “your sweet time” with maybe five to seven hours. Again, it probably took me well over 50 hours of exploring and trying to figure things out before I unlocked Skyhold. I was actually hoping to be OP “early on” as I was struggling with areas in the Hinterlands and this video didn’t help, since this really is addressed at areas accessible well past seven hours for new players. You said “the very first thing you can do is get your specialization” @ 1:20. I have no idea what a specialization is and still don’t. You should not assume anyone new understands what statements like this means. You said “The very first place you want to go is the Hissing Waste,@1:30 you can unlock this “right away”. It was never stated this would only be available once the player gets to Skyhold. I thought it was literally “right away” but it’s not. You even said “you might be level 9 or 10” and you seemingly don’t realize that takes a new play a long time to get to this level. It was frustrating because by the time I did get there, I really didn’t need to be OP any more. The game was no longer than hard at this point. Then you go into why these are good for certain classes, and tier levels but again forget a new player may have no idea what you are talking about. You said the game will be “official” broken at 3:35 and “I’ll explain that.” What is “official” and you never did explain this statement. At 5:00 you talk about the “short list” and another video but I had no idea again what was involved here, how it relates to other perk choices and what Superior BattleMaster amour with “cross-classing” was. I understand that perhaps you explain this in another video but it’s important to have some idea what this means in this video and it would have been helpful to take a few more seconds to explain what you are talking about. Again, you are talking way over the head of any one who is not very familiar with this game. At around 7:45 you talk about getting more metals at level 16. I have no idea why one gets more metals at this point. I’m not level 16 and no idea what this means. And the cursing. Perhaps your audience doesn’t mind but if you want to appear more polished and an authority, consider talking like you would to your parents. I find the cursing very off-putting and childish. Anyway, I hope this is helpful and respectfully stated. Once I was much “later” in the games some of it made sense.
John Strongman His guide is in no way intended to help players learn the game. It is clearly directed at an audience that has been playing the game already. Besides if you can't google any of the above points that's a problem.
John Strongman 50 hours to get to skyhold? Damn. I'll admit it takes some prior knowledge to know what he's talking about, but to have played for 50 hours and not know what specializations are? That's a bit extreme.
milehighkoala well it was stupid for me because in the game (and I'll admit I may have just not heard it) but when i was looking for how to join a group either temp. or mage I didn't understand where to go to kill the guys it was annoying and it took me a lot longer then it should have so even the game itself has a hard time explaining everything that is possible I think (at least that's the opinion of me a person missing part of his brain to begin with so I go way slower)
If you wait for the second play to up the difficulty, the diagrams import into the next game, you'll just need to get the ore for creating it, I leave Haven with a 100+ DPS staff from the underground DLC, it's a beast, even when made from iron that you get from the area.
@JumpinProductions, another way is if you've already beaten the game once and gotten Tier 3 Schematics, you can syncronize them between all characters if you use the Golden Nug.
Where was this video all me life?! But seriously, as a warrior I would love to see your build. I haven't hit my specialization yet, but I want to see what's what.
Elfroot is never a waste. Do everything you need to max out your Regeneration potion and the fun that follows is awesome.lol.... Heavy armor. 100% regen potion and Fade Touched Silverite in your armor's Masterwork slot makes you a Super Dragon Slayer.
Jacob Lee Message me and let's talk. I bet you're missing some stuff that makes the game awesome. There are very few games I really like and this is a favorite but the first 10-15 hours felt like I wasted my money.
I love getting OP! Good video Jumpin’! I remember watching your DS2 and 3 walkthroughs. Love your energy and how you get into the game for us! Thanks man and be safe! I played this back on PS3 and didn’t beat it. They release it on sale or free (one of those) on PS4 with all the DLC’s so now I’m playing it again, and this time I will beat it!
Really appreciate your analysis! Thanks for making this video! I also totally agree, Cole is so badass. After I switched to running with Cole and Solas for the fights, we've been clearing content remarkably fast and facerolling every fight.
also complete bulls questline and chose spoiler alert guys to save the dreadnought and go to the war table a few in game days later and do his missions for the ben hasrath and you will obtain the best staff schematic in the game
+Unknown Secret well the best ones come from the trespasser dlc and the black emporium free dlc. You can also get a really good one from the hissing wastes which I talked about in this video.
The Elgar'nan Enaste, from the Trespasser DLC. You can upload the schematic to the Golden Nug to use it in the beginning of a new game. Its damage level is just a bit less than the Lyrium-Infused Bow, if I remember right, but the Enaste's arrows explode upon hit, granting it extra damage. I crafted mine with dragon bone and gave it a Superb Corruption Rune, and would get absolutely ridiculous DPS.
He's right, the Elgar'nan Enaste is the best. Because you can do so many different kinds of damage with it, that it makes up for the loss crit damage on the Masterwork Spiked, Swan Bow or Grunsmans or however it's spelled. It also procs pincushion. I can do over 4k with one basic attack. Add that on top of Hidden Blades and superb lightning rune, and you're doing stupid amounts of damage.
People complaining you level up too slow. This isn't Skyrim guys, you have to make your perks count and do all the content. It might be tedious but you feel like a badass when you are finally able to take on the more challenging areas. I like how enemies aren't scaled to your level, people say that makes the game too easy or hard. No just go to the right areas and complete that stuff before doing other areas you don't need to be killing dragons or red Templars at level 7. I hate how Skyrim makes most combat areas too easy also I hate how Oblivion makes combat areas harder when you level up because the loot and shops don't have good enough items to account for the giant health bars that constantly stagger you even when you have 100 agility and endurance Oblivion throws at you, that's not progression. This game gets combat, ability usage, squad Ballance and player progression right in my opinion
Which masterwork do you have on your second daggers on Sera and Cole? Sorry if i missed it in the video, but there was soo much information, must have slipped away..
Do you know of any glitches/exploits/tricks that I could use prior to unlocking Skyhold/Crestwood? I am stuck at the missions that require you to choose templars or mages and I can't get through either of them, I have tried numerous times for both missions. I am on nightmare and was playing a mage but I'm thinking I have to restart now because I am stuck at the templar mission that requires you to spin the Trebuchet wheel and I don't have any saves that I can go back to before the mission so I have to make a new character. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the info, Jumpin. I've been getting my ass kicked by enemy mobs and dragons, mainly because I've been too naïve about armour and weapon bonuses and have been avoiding the Hissing Wastes. Hopefully my Nightmare run will be easier now. Thank you again :)
hey can you plz tell what quest do I not have to finish here to keep farming templars or the dragon? you said if you give the quest in you cant farm it anymore so what quest is it?
+Luciferarrow I hope this isn't too late, but it probably is. The 'trigger' for the Templars to stop respawning is Camping in their... camp, This progresses the world ever so slightly in that now everyone thinks that's an Inquisition campsite, so Templar stop going there. So to avoid that, simply kill the Templar, gather the materials and leave without roasting any marshmallows
Speaking of overpowered, though it doesn't deal with Dragon Age, I think I found a new Havel Buttface build for you to show off. I recently got invaded by a guy in the Havel Buttface armor buffed with great magic barrier, Gower's ring, dual ice rapiers buffed with dark weapon and finally, affinity with a constant spam of dark orb. Needless to say, annoying as all fuck.
can you move backward a bit? or put a fade in as intro? not sure but the first few seconds of the video scared me >.< sorry man. but good tips! thanks! :)
-use silverite as the main metal (the one that gives the armor rating)... this means that until you get to lvl 16 you wont be able to put your rogues and mages in heavy armor, but once you start getting the silverite you can start making the heavy armor for everyone
This game is so difficult to get into for newcomers to the game, its not really hard but its confusing asf most times and it takes soooo fucking long to level up.
Is there a video that shows your set up for them cuz Jesus I can't even take them down that quick and I thought having iron bull and me as revears would murder them but nope
i just got into this game loved the first 2 games i got to this game fairly late idk if you still read these comments or play this but would you happen to know where to farm to a high tier staff schematic because i play a mage this vid is great but it doesnt help me character i made because it doesnt give me a staff schematic and i made a mage so if you can make another video or have about a mage gear schematic drop please share or tag it id appreciate it alot!
I wish it were as easy as you say it is after Skyhold. I got there on nightmare difficulty by cheesing the boss battle beforehand. Now I am trying to close the rift in the Still Waters side quest and have died countless times. I can barely get to the 3rd wave. Same with wicked eyes and wicked hearts. I can't get past the rift there. Maybe I'm too low level for these missions? I hope it gets easier like you said around level 16.
at lvl 12 I was already killing lvl 16 enemies easy, after lvl 16 I started to use the trial "same level" and even that way, I could kill a dragon level 23 with only my reaver at lvl 18
+JumpinProductions hey can you plz tell whet quest do I not have to finish here to kep farming? you said if you give the quest in you cant farm it anymore so what quest si it>?
I don't really like to be op in a game. I like a challenge. I like a genuine experience. Killing dragons in 8 seconds is not fun to me because it robs me of the experience of *actually* fighting the dragon.
i prefer to just make decent armor and slap it on play the game as it is until late game then see if i can make that amazing tier 4 gear but yeah this helps
My core team is Bull, Sera, and Dorian. It's entertaining and I don't like Vivienne's snobbery. Cole just creeps everyone out but I don't kick him out. Also I stay round the fortress and farm the herbs there because you can get them made into potions because nobody here heals. Where is Wynne when you need her?
Two questions. Is your inky elven or human? Also what armor do you have for her? I know you said battlemaster but battlemaster looks different than that.
JumpinProductions Thanks jumpin, I guess I am missing the superior schematic then. I like the look of your with that chest piece added in that looks like Hawke's armor ... kinda :).
Last time I played this was a while back. Did they patch in new stats? The stuff you are talking about only gave 3 guard on hit, and 4 extra hits. But I see here it's 5 guard and 5 extra targets. And yeah, I had the tier 3 fade-touched stuff. Also, looks like you have heavy armor on Sera? Did they allow rogues to use heavy armor now? Or was this a mod?
lkim100 Yeah, I know. Even the tier 3 I used didn't give 5 guard. it gave 3. So, I'm thinking it was because I played on an older patch. They must of increased it. Or it's just different on PC compared to Xbox.
Orlando Vazquez when you get to a certain level the specialization trees open for all characters. The inquisitor is the only character with an option as to what s/he will become. For example: Iron bull is always a reaver, cole is always an asassin, dorian is always a necromancer. Each class has 3 choices for specialization. You get to choose whether your inquisitor has the same tree as anyone else. It’s very cool.
If you’re new to the game, two other things that will make your life easier is to get all of the agents you can in the different zones. Each counts as a point on their respective perk tree. This makes getting the rogue talent deft hands, fine tools much easier. Also, do not go anywhere without a rogue! Lots of locked doors with good armor or weapons behind them.
"First thing you gotta do is get to Skyhold"
Pre-Skyhold is the hardest part of the game bruh
Especially on nightmare.
The stupid bears in the Hinterlands
Yeah i can attest to that. For me, it is the never ending elemental resistances. I do amazing damage to this group... Then the next group I do a SINGLE POINT OF DAMAGE because they are effectively immune to my current staff... Fuck.
Nay T lol true tho
Lol not really killed the hinterland dragon at lv10 before skyhold nothing like getting a grand enchanter staff and having to wait 5lv to use it
Video: completing hinterland takes 5-6 hours
Me 16 hours in: half map still missing
That Hissing Wastes map looks so small, and then you get there and start walking around only to realize just how vast it is.
You use the wheel (the one with the healing potions) and there should be a symbol to call your horse.
Eggnogga yea lol they condensed the map to look smaller even though its the biggest map in the game
normal is my nightmare level
+dvshsn cool.
Atm I'm way too upset with the ending of Trespasser -.-
dvshsn lol wtf
dvshsn rough lyfe
dvshsn u missing out bruh......
It took you 3 hours to get to Skyhold? I've been playing for 27 hours and only just got to Skyhold an hour ago. And I thought I was playing too fast, lol.
BaKon 30 hours to get there for me. I'm a lil distracted with the conversations
Took me a while on the first playthrough
BaKon 25 hours 37 minutes, i know because i keep a save just before you get to skyhold and i wanna play again but am not bothered with all the pre-skyhold hassle
Yeah when I played nightmare mode I leveled up to level 12 or 13 before I got to skyhold. I tried to do the final quest in haven at around level 10 and could not get past the trebuchet part so I reloaded and leveled up. It was still tough at level 13.
+BaKon 37 here :D
I managed to become OP in the beginning by grinding. I did (and still do) literally everything when I get to an area. all the quest, locations, and collectables and I get so many rewards and so much experience I'm so damn powerful. I was level 12 when I got to skyhold! so I just grind and I just tear ass everywhere I go
I did as much as I could. I got the shards and went to the oasis but didn't go much into val royeaux. Just to get Sera. And I did the storm coast.
Enemies stop giving you experience when you get three levels higher than them so I slowed down really fast
Yeah but my gear wasn't the best and I wasn't aware of the amazingness that was crafting your own gear and I just moved on
I harvested iron and Druffalo hides at Haven for hours to craft armor and weapons from my Golden Nug.
Dude when you said "early" I thought you meant somewhere around Hinterlands and not halfway through the game..
You can get super op in the Hinterlands. In Valammar, there is 1 chest that can drop T3 scematics. If you leave 1 iteam in the chest and come back it will have new items. Do that a few times and your whole party can have all tier 3 weapons and armor.
Sam my Where is that chest? How do I reset the chest?! :)
Lol right
@@Sammy-gs9hl oh man that’s crazy hope I didn’t stuff up
I re bought this game to pick Elfroot and know I'm contemplating playing it througj
It builds up kinda slow in the first 8 hours or so
Use the Golden Nug as soon as you get to Haven and get all of your schematics from previous playthoughs. You can avoid everything, go to Stonebear hold, get the quest and buy a Crossbow add in for Varric that gives him 180 dps which makes him playable with Bianca.
lol i played 24 hours before i came to skyhold
sidequests are time consuming
Same
Sjard Willems v haha same. I just reached skthold
You also would make sure you'd have the golden nug
If you do all quests and collect everything in the Hinterlands, you will be level 10 to 12, makes the rest of the areas rather simple.
That’s what I’m doing now I have like less than 5 quests to do and i started the sand map I hate finding the shards
If you want to level up quickly go to the fallow mire and just fight the undead don't deal with any of the fade rifts and don't do any quests there just fight the undead and you level up pretty quickly. That is one of the fastest ways I've found to level up fast.
I tried that but the co is really low so it takes ages
easier guide to be op
get to skyhold, complete "still water" quest in crestwood. get amulet of power for player character. duplicate via skyhold stash. win
I never thought of doing that, oh my god
What does the amulet of power do again? I forgot.
Lukas Allenn free skill point
Still water quest? Where can I get it
Cheating is for cunts... just sayin.
As someone with 1000+ hours in the game, I can tell you how to be overpowered pre-Skyhold:
1: Farm critters for mats: rams, fennecs etc. and craft gear for your entire party.
After lvl 10 in the game, everything becomes easy, the problem is probably because people who are new to the game, don't know the resistances of the enemies, I always give my mages skills based at fire or ice, after skyhold, dorian doesn't even need fire skills anymore, I use him as a full support and upgrade the first 2 ice skills, blackwall as a tank and any rogue I feel I want in my party, I usually play as a two handed reaver, I don't even pause the game, I do it sometimes but only when the IA mess up something, like the rogue or the mage being near the enemy and taking damage.
what the neck. 5 hrs in, I'm still in the first area where you help the refugees lol. I just got murdered by the first Dragon I seen in the game lol
Same here!!! Went full in dovahkin and realized how fast I burned thru my potions again.. Gg lol
@@damirisdamir don't go dovahkin until much later in the game or you will surely die
And you had to spoil it for everybody piece of shit
@@laziwastaken still platin dragon age nice game
It's actually one of the tougher dragons in the game, despite others being higher level.
I pretty much single-handedly killed dragons.
money hard to come by Looool 😂😂 hillarious
I'm re-playing this game again after 5 years! I be putting your guide to reach god mode...!
fck everything bought 987 coin blueprints for vangaurd armour, made it, upgraded it. sold it FOR 5 FUCKING COINS
DarkPantherRises the only blueprints worth buying are in the black emporium.... They cost a few thousand gold but they op as faccckkkk
Finally playing this game, it's amazing
Easiest way to to get tier 3 or 4 schematics, two words: Golden Nug.
Well only if you have save your schematics from previous playthroughs. 😊
If no other zone allows you to enter it without power, what made you think hissing waste wasnt the same ?
Legion of the Dead Armor can only be used by Dwarf Warriors, unless you make it out of Silverite. That material removes the class restrictions for armor types, so you can make a suit of heavy armor out of silverite and give it to a mage. Otherwise, the only person who can use LotD is the Inquisitor if they're playing a Dwarf Warrior.
Hey do you know what armor he is wearing in the vid
I'm sure you know this by now but, for the people who don't, masterworks of the same tier do not stack. Masterworks of different tiers do stack, however. What I'd recommend on DW rogues is Hidden Blades, 5 hits and 7.5% damage per nearby enemy/Hidden Blades, 4 hits.
the same effect doesn't stack..but a different one yes..so hidden blades +5 hits stacks with the +4 hits version..
thanks that good to know
song like beck wow
Holy shit it took me 16+ hors to get to skyold, then again I did do everything until then.
+Supre3m3 Kylo Ren I love rogue that my fav class always started Rogue on all three of DA
What team of companions did you use first play through im tempest archer but cant decide who to roll with
Favorite build is the immortal tank. Sword and shield guard build with fade-touched silverite one my axe, shield and armor. You can solo a dragon simply by building guard faster than they can hurt you. +15 guard/hit is disturbingly OP.
black imporium or what ever its called use the dup glitch for money then buy all the tier 4 crap come out boss but his way is funner if thats a word
How do you get tier four materials?! I can only get tier 2. P.S I'm level 14.
tire four well you goota get to level I think around level 17 for tier 3 I meant tier 3 for tire four if you have the deep roads DLC don't open the loot crates at the first camp until level 13 to get a crate of tire 4 items and tire four schematics
John Strongman it's not his fault you're dumb
If you wait for the second play to up the difficulty, the diagrams import into the next game, you'll just need to get the ore for creating it, I leave Haven with a 100+ DPS staff from the underground DLC, it's a beast, even when made from iron that you get from the area.
Just started playing a week ago. Thanks for the info.
@JumpinProductions, another way is if you've already beaten the game once and gotten Tier 3 Schematics, you can syncronize them between all characters if you use the Golden Nug.
The tomb by the merchant contains the greatsword and the tomb at the very bottom of the map has the duel blade.
the shards in the grand canyon-like area were a pain in the ass to collect
Where was this video all me life?! But seriously, as a warrior I would love to see your build. I haven't hit my specialization yet, but I want to see what's what.
For this game and the 2nd the answer to the question in the title is play the duel weapon rogue. That is all you need to do to be over powered.
"How to enjoy this game"...damn, where's that video
right? this game is almost TOO big, idk i feel like im exploring waaaaaaaaayy too much and getting bored picking up my 10000 elfroot...
Exactly, too much unnecessary stuff
I bought this game and was pissed that I wasted money!
I really would like to know what schematics his warrior is using for armour and 2-hander....
Jumpin has been making these videos forever.
Watching this in 2024 because the game is suddenly free 😂 for a few days
Really appreciate your analysis! Thanks for making this video! I also totally agree, Cole is so badass. After I switched to running with Cole and Solas for the fights, we've been clearing content remarkably fast and facerolling every fight.
also complete bulls questline and chose spoiler alert guys to save the dreadnought and go to the war table a few in game days later and do his missions for the ben hasrath and you will obtain the best staff schematic in the game
Awesome gameplay tips, def gonna try this out later!
Is it worth playing
I got the earnest reprasial any suggestions for runes?
what is the best and high DPS bow??
pls..reply!..THANKS!
+Unknown Secret well the best ones come from the trespasser dlc and the black emporium free dlc. You can also get a really good one from the hissing wastes which I talked about in this video.
how about hakkon's wrath?..
>>thanks! :)
The bow schematic found in the tombs
He's right, the Elgar'nan Enaste is the best. Because you can do so many different kinds of damage with it, that it makes up for the loss crit damage on the Masterwork Spiked, Swan Bow or Grunsmans or however it's spelled. It also procs pincushion. I can do over 4k with one basic attack. Add that on top of Hidden Blades and superb lightning rune, and you're doing stupid amounts of damage.
Just bought this game and thanks for the advice
It really does cant wait for da4
Just followed your Twitch because of this video thanks for the info
Jaws of Hakkon DLC has very good (and expensive) schematics if you can make it to Stone Bear Hold.
How did you add hidden blades to dagger. The fade touch item is cloth and the dagger schematics you picked up requires leather and stone??
+Joe Sloan fae touched goes in the masterwork slot and masterwork slots on items allow any mat
Awesome! Haven't even been to Hissing Wastes, I just need one material and duplicate it for whole squad
Great video, intelligent, well thought out and explained extremely well. Good job.
This game looks so much better on PC.
Are you able to become vampire
that spot where the merchant w/ the armor schems is has tier 3 volcanic aurum -- just farm it
hey can you plz tell what quest do I not have to finish here to keep farming templars or the dragon? you said if you give the quest in you cant farm it anymore so what quest is it?
+Luciferarrow I hope this isn't too late, but it probably is. The 'trigger' for the Templars to stop respawning is Camping in their... camp, This progresses the world ever so slightly in that now everyone thinks that's an Inquisition campsite, so Templar stop going there.
So to avoid that, simply kill the Templar, gather the materials and leave without roasting any marshmallows
Thanks for posting man, i was wondering how i was gonna beat nightmare with my Qunari Archer XD now i know the materials i need
Sweet vid ! I like the same playstyle, so thanks a ton.
Anybody wanna tell my stupid ass how to get to skyhold?
Brownies are pretty neat Play the game.
RoadleGaming cool cool
羅静 thanks brah!
poisonedtanto HAHAHAHA XD
Celine L Spoiler alert...
can you move backward a bit? or put a fade in as intro? not sure but the first few seconds of the video scared me >.< sorry man. but good tips! thanks! :)
Also, has the map changed? Have they made where you are locked out of hissing wastes at the start until a certain point?
Cassandra and Blackwall can have a skill that gives everyone guard when they attack, it's really helpful at the start of the game
I need to know how you got everyone in warrior mail? Are you on PC and using a mod?
I think he used Silverit to build the mails.
Not if you know what you're doing the game just takes a few but you can level up pretty fast tbh
Completely noon to dragon age, started yesterday, is this quite for story or multi?
Is there a video that shows your set up for them cuz Jesus I can't even take them down that quick and I thought having iron bull and me as revears would murder them but nope
Warrior class. End video. Guard is king early. By level 18 the rogue is the best. Begin one shoting people.
Thanks man i just got The game and ima two handed human im gonna try this later
does damage over time work with hidden blades proc chance?
can you pls add a playlist for this Game after scrolling through 100s of ur vids i gave up😢😢
I like to explore and do everything but I am still in the Hinterlands.
i just got into this game loved the first 2 games i got to this game fairly late idk if you still read these comments or play this but would you happen to know where to farm to a high tier staff schematic because i play a mage this vid is great but it doesnt help me character i made because it doesnt give me a staff schematic and i made a mage so if you can make another video or have about a mage gear schematic drop please share or tag it id appreciate it alot!
I was wondering how to get tier 3 focus ability ?
Inquisition perks in forces
thanks because i finished the game with only tier 1 :D
+JumpinProductions hey can you plz tell whet quest do I not have to finish here to kep farming? you said if you give the quest in you cant farm it anymore so what quest si it>?
+Luciferarrow The quest freeing the prisoners. Sorry for bad english.
What is a good guide to be OP from level 0 to just before skyhold?
Why is it I already finished the main story but I haven't unlocked Hissing Waste?
Do the infinite money and duplicate still work I can’t do it and how to get to hissing waters I don’t see and I just got sky hold
I roll the Assassin for Mark of Death+Fade Rift combo=dead dragon
The way you pronounce wastes is funny as hell.
Where is Wynne when you need her?
dam u are Legit with this an the dupe...Im OP..i got those plans an tried the dragon he was too OP for me lol..I'll Be Back!!
Do you have to play with main character? I regret my choice now im half way through.
Two questions. Is your inky elven or human? Also what armor do you have for her? I know you said battlemaster but battlemaster looks different than that.
Jeremy Barnes She is an elf and she has Superior Battlemaster Armor and yes it does look like that.

Thanks jumpin, I guess I am missing the superior schematic then. I like the look of your with that chest piece added in that looks like Hawke's armor ... kinda :).
Jeremy Barnes well here is a link on how to get the armor, ruclips.net/video/bl--8_MTC1Q/видео.html
Is this worth 15.00 on the Xbox store now for the game of the year edition?
How does his heal him is it an ore? I don't have? pls tell me
Last time I played this was a while back.
Acid001 each of the three types of crafting materials has one tier 3 one that removes the class restriction when crafting armor.
lkim100 Yeah, I know. Even the tier 3 I used didn't give 5 guard. it gave 3. So, I'm thinking it was because I played on an older patch. They must of increased it. Or it's just different on PC compared to Xbox.
Anyone else notice the derped officer at @0:45?
How are the characters created for the story any different from the character you create? It's all about the abilities you choose right?
Orlando Vazquez when you get to a certain level the specialization trees open for all characters. The inquisitor is the only character with an option as to what s/he will become. For example: Iron bull is always a reaver, cole is always an asassin, dorian is always a necromancer. Each class has 3 choices for specialization. You get to choose whether your inquisitor has the same tree as anyone else. It’s very cool.
@@damhnaitcockburn2970 wow this game is very in depth, I appreciate your response
If you’re new to the game, two other things that will make your life easier is to get all of the agents you can in the different zones. Each counts as a point on their respective perk tree. This makes getting the rogue talent deft hands, fine tools much easier. Also, do not go anywhere without a rogue! Lots of locked doors with good armor or weapons behind them.
i got to skyhold in 11 hours is that bad?
