"Every villain is the hero of their own story." These words apply very fittingly to both Dolores and Serac. I felt that it was rushed, the storyline was not cohesive, the drug situation with Caleb unnecessary. This is the first episode of the series (Including seasons 1 and 2) that felt inferior to the rest. A season with 8 episodes was a bad idea. The story has already many parts/plots to be revealed and when you cut 2 episodes, fitting all you want to tell, becomes very difficult without rushing it. Only if they gave us 1h30min episodes. We shall see the last 3, I hope they make it up for this one. But as with all in life, everything is subjective. And I guess they couldn't resist on remember the drug addict side of Aaron Paul's most famous character Jesse. 😂
Season started so good, but now i dont know how they gonna put all that in just 3 more episodes...i wanted more complicated story on wiliam and meave, but i feel they are not so important now? Also bernard's pearl was red, so he is special, but so he got so little time in this season...
This was a bit let down to be honest. This show has great ideas and amazing cinematography. But then I feel like some of the things in this episode were stupid. Like OK, people see what Incite predicts about them. Now let's show a slow-motion of people reading that. Wow everyone is arguing. It's anarchy! Woo! Why would this Liam asshole start to argue with his kidnappers who are criminals and fucking ARMED with machine guns and incite their wrath for no reason. No wonder he got shot. And the car chase where these cars first stop their car, walk extremely slowly towards them, then they are surprised they drive off. Why didn't they just shoot the car from afar in the first place? If Serac is the richest person on earth, with basically more power than anyone else, after he "activates all assets" is that really it? Yeah it wasn't bad, but really compared to what it could have been, i'm a little let down. I was hoping after Season 2 that they were going to do something incredible with this show. Didn't happen. Season 1 worked so well because it had Anthony Hopkins and he had amazing dialogue and incredible philosophical musings about humanity, AI, consciousnesses etc. Now we have...well whatever this is. Without that this show is just mostly show off.
PresidentialWinner I agree with the issues you pointed out. The car chase was pretty weird. And the streets being so empty definitely stands out. It kinda breaks the immersion. However, this season does have a lot of interesting elements to it with both Serac and Dolores acting in a way that makes sense to them. And that’s the best way to write a good conflict. So I’m still hopeful that this will develop further. Serac is carrying this season IMO.
Well so far its a mixed bag for me.... Too much information and too much to be putted on a 10 episode... I see too much disconection between the episodes... We lost track of characters for entire episodes, that would not be bad if this was not a serialized show with and overarching story... to me this should have been a 20 episode serie, with more time for the show to breathe a little... There is too much lore to take, from the outside world itself, what have happen to the world until now, what about Delos? What are they doing? Where are the rest of the parks, We need more about incite... it seems to be Delos Rival, but we only see the "super AI place". Like many have allready said, the world feels empty and not real... the designs are great, but we need much more "activity" more ppl on the streets (i understand that the cars are expensive to build they only have 3 cabs, and some other veicles...) but some clever CGI insertion could have done the trick... one some wide shots or long shots... To me this is what happens when there is too much ambition on a project and not so big of a budget to do it... This is a 100 to 120 Million project, but its squeezed into 70 to 80 million on this season... Next time Jonh must ask his big brother to persuade WB to give him more money and shooting time...
This season is only gonna have 8 episodes actually. Sadly. However even though we have 2 less eps, each ep has a higher budget and there's better production for each episode and also filming in multiple international cities :)
The genre thing made this the worst episode of this season. And it's an evidence of a pretty dangerous move by the creators: focusing on stuff that they could do for the technical and visual brilliance in detriment to what that means in the story. Game Of Thrones became problematic because that way of thinking prevailed.
What are you talking about? 🤦🏻♀️🙄 The stuff they introduce into the show, they always do purposefully, because it's usually a foreshadowing of things that will play out later. We're not even seeing things play out in sequential order, so we don't know the full story yet. Let's let the showrunners "tell their stories", as Ford once famously said, and find out how it all ends, before bitching & moaning, shall we? 😒🤖 Sorry, but I just never seen so much griping about one of the BEST shows on television right now. There's always "The Bachelor" or something, if this isn't your thing I guess. 🤷🏻♀️😕 smh
This episode was just bad on so many levels. It was like a comedy based on westworld - everyone is soo badass and making funny faces lol Top 1 for me is Aaron Paul's rolling eyes like he's bored of this nonsense. Also if you have opportunity to play witch genres and the only thing you do is blur effect and some songs haha Incite HQ with the most important computing system in the world and there was no safety? Bernard being most wanted man and he just enters the building like mcdonalds lmfao
The car chase was the most boring I have seen so far. They were driving like 30 km/h tops. And Dolores said to the car to go full speed and later she turns the speed up? That's Fast and Furious level bad. Genre was really just a gimmick and served no purpose and the dialogues feeld worse than normally in the middle part.
I don't think the show is going back to Westworld anymore. I think season 2 basically shut the door on that and there is no plausible way anyone would go back there anymore.

We shall see the last 3, I hope they make it up for this one.
But as with all in life, everything is subjective. And I guess they couldn't resist on remember the drug addict side of Aaron Paul's most famous character Jesse. 😂
Yeah, there are only 8 episodes to bring back popularity after season 2, and because HBO might not renew the show for season 4.
Oh dear...
Season started so good, but now i dont know how they gonna put all that in just 3 more episodes...i wanted more complicated story on wiliam and meave, but i feel they are not so important now?
Also bernard's pearl was red, so he is special, but so he got so little time in this season...
i wonder how it cost to make those funky cars, and i wish there was more anarchy on the streets when they dumped the data
When you saw Ford create something, you saw his passion, his methodology, in this episode, they just create a God like machine, wasn't very investing
That's... exactly the point.
@@MirandaAndUh , interesting, didn't think of it that way, that does make sense. Still think it could have been presented a little more interestingly
That car chase felt really slow and underwhelming. I loved the episode, but Genre's mind trip was a missed opportunity in my opinion
PINKMAN??? 😃
💜
is there anything Jesse isn't in ? How many actors in Hollywood need a break?
Aaron Paul isn't in a lot lmao. If anything he should be recognised and used more because of how talented and amazing he is
Well so far its a mixed bag for me....
I want Rohoboam watch
I think Serac and dolores are equally right and wrong.
Sorry, but I just never seen so much griping about one of the BEST shows on television right now. There's always "The Bachelor" or something, if this isn't your thing I guess. 🤷🏻♀️😕 smh
Most boring car chase and drug trip ever.
Honestly, the genre part was super boring and added nothing to the story
i fucking hated this episode
It was corny and the car chase was terrible...Nothing worked in this ep tbh...
This episode was just bad on so many levels. It was like a comedy based on westworld - everyone is soo badass and making funny faces lol Top 1 for me is Aaron Paul's rolling eyes like he's bored of this nonsense. Also if you have opportunity to play witch genres and the only thing you do is blur effect and some songs haha
Incite HQ with the most important computing system in the world and there was no safety? Bernard being most wanted man and he just enters the building like mcdonalds lmfao
Nolan destroyed Season 2
The car chase was the most boring I have seen so far.
They were driving like 30 km/h tops. And Dolores said to the car to go full speed and later she turns the speed up?
That's Fast and Furious level bad.
Genre was really just a gimmick and served no purpose and the dialogues feeld worse than normally in the middle part.
Is it just me who didn't like this episode and this whole Incite thing? I wanted it to be more Westworld focused.
I don't think the show is going back to Westworld anymore. I think season 2 basically shut the door on that and there is no plausible way anyone would go back there anymore.
Except it wasn't "kickass". Though a better more apt director would've pulled it off.
