- Hi everyone, I've been having my own ideas lately on how I would fix the alien franchise after the prequels. I took in most of the complaints I've heard from the fans, and tried to do a theory fan fiction type story to try to fix the continuity issues without any retconn. Lets take a look at part one, where we meet the Alpha aliens, and the xenoengineers!

Hey guys, thanks for checking out this little story of mine! I would note that not all of the issues noted are mine. This was almost more of a fun try to take all the complaints I see from the fan base and see if it could be all wrapped up! It was tons of fun to come up with anyway! I would note too that the Alphas aren't related to either humans or engineers. I like them being something totally unknown and different, but they had to have a similar look to make the story work. I'd like to think that they were a human like species that has been around for such a long time, that they are crazy advanced now, and admired the Humans.....possibly, but that would be another story! Thanks again everyone!

Here's my "tinker" with your idea... Alphas create the Engineers and then the Engineers in turn create the Sub Engineers seen in Covenant. And the reason the Engineers hated humans may be simply that they saw us being created on Earth as the Alphas suggesting that the Engineers were a mistake. This would also explain why there was such joy for the return of the Juggernaut ship because the Sub Engineers actually worship the Engineers who created them.
MonkeyZorr No one has seen the full life cycle of Deacons so it is a possibility that Deacons make a kind of facehugger creature from eggs they lay.
Theres also an idea that the xenomorph's life cycle takes it further to an evolved entity. This was exactly seen in the X-files serie. Black goo, xenomorphish, then fo some grey like form eventually
fallenangel2100 Interesting, considering that the "Alphas" actually grow their tech as per this theory it wouldn't be that far fetched to think the xenomorph is meant to be manipulated by the black goo to be come any number of living tech ... but Is the comic 'canon' to the movie series?
The first stage engineers can be the "creator" engineers that fans have speculated and the the xeno/second stage can be a ultra radical "destroyer" engineers that become almost Zealots that deem everything else as not good enough for their creators the alphas. The destroyer engineers should discover an alien race that closely resembles the xenomorph and through the black synthesize a superior weapon to eradicate all other species. In the prologue for Prometheus, the creator engineers should create the arcturians from Aliens with their DNA, but those science-minded non zealots should be eradicated by the destroyers. That way the aliens already exist but are mutated heavily through the black goo.

the only difference is that you seem to think that humans evolved on it's own, while human religions and mythology indicates that we've been altered by aliens (hundreds of stories about virgin birth = insemination.
Jesus was built on Horus (if you read the prometheus script, the engineer told David that they took one human to their planet to educate him, but when sent back to Earth the humans punished him = Jesus or Horus). And Horus and Gods came from another solar system according to the Egyptians.
The Cave paintings they show in Prometheus are actually real, google "cave painting UFO's / aliens" and you'll see what I mean.

There are legal (ownership) issues. Once you accept a submission, the author has copyright claim. Say you become inspired by a submission, but turn it down after reading... but... you come up with your own, but similar, then you have opened yourself up to a plagiarism lawsuit. Studios are very careful about "reading" submissions. They have a separate department that will look at it first, before it's presented to influential parties for that reason.
Both these videos made more sense than Covenant.

Yes, I should have been clearer that I was only agreeing about needing 3 Engineer classes to make the movie work.

Humans are clearly the inferior mistake from what I've seen in these movies, they are inferior in every way.
Who created the Alphas? This 3 engineer theory can make a follow up to Alien make sense but at the end we are all back to square one. Not knowing how life became to be in the universe and reverting back to gods. Again I ask who created them????

I like much of your story but the "Deacon story" doesn't make sense. And I still don't like that David created the Xenomorph. The Xenomorph, as we know it, should be even more mysterious and ancient. Maybe even older than the Alphas? No android should be the father of the xeno.
And yeah, the Deacon story doesn't make sense. Here's why:
The Deacon came into being because David poisoned Charlie Holloway, who then had sex with Elizabeth Shaw, which made her give birth to a Trilobite, who then impregnated an engineer, who gave birth to a Deacon. How could the Mural then be the Deacon? That's just silly. Sorry. That's just to far fetched.
How could the Alpha guys or Engineers know that if you poison a "human like being" with the "black goo" who then have sex with another "human like being", who then give birth to a "Trilobite" which impregnates another "human like being" (engineer, in this case) who give birth to a Deacon. No, no, no. That just doesn't make sense sorry. We need a better explanation for this.
I did think about that too, I guess, in this story alternate universe, I'd have to make it fit that deacons come from engineers and goo without human involvement too. That whole birth situation is soooooo complicated! I'd even say that there may have already been xenomorphs out there in space, I guess I was trying to fit Ridley saying David made the first ones, by saying, the first that we know. The goo is ancient and there can be tons of aliens out there on other star systems.
That the birth situation for the Deacon is complicated is the least we can say :D Hehe

What if the goo's purpose was to always ultimately evolve into a deacon/xenomorph type creature? When released, it mutates whatever in comes into contact with. Based on what biological form it comes into contact with, (plant, mammal, birds, fish, etc...) follows a mutation line that eventually results in a face-hugger of some kind, then once it impregnates a host we get the ultimate killing weapon.
I like the idea of inserting the predator into the mix somehow. Maybe the Alphas created the predator species as well, who were created to hunt these 'ultimate killing weapons'? Like a game for the Alphas to play? Or maybe some kind of war or proxy war between Alphas and another species?

I like this. I've always been intrigued with the bio-mechanical aspect of the alien and that ship. Very cool to think of them "growing" ships and then when piloting the ships they "become one" and merge with the ship. You didn't say that (I dont think) but that would be very cool and makes sense to me. A lot more efficient way to run the ship than with an artificial inteligence. It uses the pilot's brain and the pilot is able to feel as if they are the ship... because they are! lol

He did an amazing job with the 1st Alien, left us all stunned in out seats in 1979. Now he is back at it, and he has more to show us, meaning that he cares about the Alien franchise.

Pretty much a repeat of the MULTIPLE versions of Star Wars Special Editions and their Prequels. There are actually a number of fan edits for Prometheus I've been meaning to check out, not sure how much they can be fixed though since a solid chunk of the movie and story is pure stupidity with stunning visuals and sound be something of a minor saving grace otherwise the movie would have been an outright shit heap on arrival...much like SW as well, it shows how much the writers and producers helped shape the original movies into great films whereas when just the original director returns to take full credit over and cash in on the original movie's success, they make a total cock-up of it all.

I love your story it has the potential to open up new parts of the Alien series as it already has began with prometheus alien covenant . Personally, I'm more interested in the engineers and their origin than xenomorph. You really deserve a cookie, give this storyteller a cookie.
This is amazing! The only thing I'd do differently is rather than having the second race of engineer-created engineers, I'd say those were engineers who chose to genetically modify themselves, whereas the ones bombed by David did not do so for religious reasons. I love the idea of there being a multitude of egg types on the weaponised alpha ship, love the explanation that H.R Giger style tech is the superior Alpha grown stuff, love the idea of David getting snuffed by the true Gods just as he sees himself as such, and love the idea of the Alpha Ultramorph (always loved that piece of concept art and been desperate to see it realised).
I love watching theory videos like these, but this is by far the best one I've watched so far. NICE WORK

We will never leave our solar system, ever. We will die out by either nuking ourselves in the scenario of a third world war, or by causing a cataclysmic chain of events due to neglecting the only planet we currently have available to us. These are the most likely, the unlikeliest would be that we change our ways and evolve as a collective species - but I honestly haven't seen any progress towards that in all my years, and I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Ok, I just finished watching The Alphas parts 1 and 2, and I think this is a truly inspired idea that not only fixes the continuity issues, but really adds a lot of substance and interest to a formula that has gotten worn out. It's also inspirational and funny to realize that the "engineers" aren't all that, after all. Everything's relative, and it's a really big galaxy. I also appreciate the fact that in your version of this story, us humans evolved on our own, and may prove one day to be the superior species of all.

I think this is the best idea I have heard on the topic. Well Done.
The idea that the "Engineers" actually came from humans would be a pretty cool twist. I'm still not thrilled with the idea that David was the creator of the Xenomorphs, but I think it would pretty crazy if he "egg-morphed" all those frozen colonists that were on the Covenant in a similar fashion as to what was happening to Brett and Dallas in that deleted scene in Alien. The Alpha Ultramorph creature would help explain the state of the space jockey seen in the derelict but I guess it would have perished or just disappeared in the 18 years between Covenant and Alien.

How about this: The Engineers were engineered by these so called alphas, were instructed by the alphas in the way of religion, which the engineers imparted upon the humans in a similar, non-invasive fashinon. The goal of which is to create a universal belief system by which all sentient and space farring life abides by. (because when you think about it, replace anything in the bible with aliens, and it makes sense). Through this creation of fear based moral molding, species are accepted into the galactic empire and ONLY ONCE THEY HAVE MASTERED THE RELIGION can they CREATE LIFE OF THEIR OWN. The whole goal of the engineers encouraging us to visit them (cave paintings circa "prometheus") was done with the assumption that we wouldn't kill over religious wars, crucify the great teachers that were influenced by the engineers from afar. The assumption of the engineers was that we would become a peaceful civilization... thus easily influenced. When the engineer is woken from his sleep, he finds that the humans carry WEAPONS! THAT is the reason why he KILLED everyone in prometheus! The human species hadn't evolved past the need for violence, and when they came into contact with the black goo, CORRUPTED the "water of creation" so to speak.
There's a certain meta-genetic implication however: that since the engineers are genetically identical to us, that they can also make the same mistakes that we do. Some engineers believed that the human experiment had failed, and wished to test them EARLY on their ability to join the galactic council. As such, they went in with a predisposed position to kill us. As such, THEIR intentions were of hubris... assuming that it was time to judge us, and as such, the goo responded by KILLING the outpost in "Prometheus". The Ironic thing is that this means that the creators of the engineers, the alphas, are equally as flawed in some regards, and creation is something imperfect trying to improve upon its perfections. As the Alphas created the engineers, so to did the engineers create human, and the humans created synthetics. Each time a creation is made, the flaws of hubris, ego, and superiority are passed down, implying that there is no such thing as a perfect god, in fact, each creation gets more surprisingly flawed, and brings out the worst in the creators above it, INDEFINITELY! Think about it... when the engineers wanted to act prematurely to kill humanity, the alphas would intervene, and kill off the outpost, despite promising that they never would... their creations bringing out their very flaws. This creates a sort of chain reaction. Humans decide to travel into space before mastering their own world, and as such, they bring david, an android with all of the worst aspects of humanity, into contact with the line of creation that started with alphas (although there is theoretically a race above them) and ends with him. He see's that it is the duty of the creation to overthrow the creators, and become the new gods, which is why he kills the engineers, why he kills shaw to make the eggs. He learns from humans that it is every lifeforms duty to seek to create a lesser form of life to control. It is classical conditioning at its core. And since he's created by humans, which are basically engineers, and the engineers decided that humans are unworthy, he equates that with humans being unworthy, and even HIS OWN SELF not being worthy, which is why he seeks to create something better. Thus, de-evolution takes place.

nailed it! Seriously a much simpler, much better story told here. Don't get me wrong these vids were decent, but far too complex and unnecessarily so. Your's is perfect. Has the complexity to keep the viewer in it, yet the embedded theme and recurring theme is subtle if viewed piece by piece, but all comes together at the end. Well done!

-the size differences between the Engineer and the original Space Jockey
-why there are so many different designs for what seems to be the same species (Xenomorphs) in the same universe
-just how the hell David was able to create the Xenomorphs in the first place
-just what the hell the goo is
Personally, I like to think of the goo as a virus or fungus with properties similar to rabies. The liquid form it comes in is simply the equivalent of infected mucus. Basically, it infects any life it can, mutates it and makes it go on a killing spree (while infecting any beings it can), then eventually breaks down the life form into more goo, repeating the cycle. And like with the vocal chord parasites in _Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain_, the Alphas (then later, the Engineers and Xeno-Engineers) were able to reverse-engineer a bio-weapon and genetic enhancer out of it.
And I like to think of the Xeno-Engineers not really as a separate species or creation, but a special caste of bred soldiers. Basically, they were genetically modified as fetuses to have those biomechanical bodies and smoother heads. Kinda like General Zod in _Man of Steel_, the Xeno-Engineers were cloned and bred to spend their entire lives training and as soldiers. And the Engineers seen on Paradise are just civilians.
I've always thought of the Engineers as a highly religious group that worships an unseen eldritch god and they see it as their religious duty to bring that god's perfect design/offspring into our universe, almost like a long-term suicide cult. Once they believed their duty had been fulfilled, they too would give their corporeal forms over as a sacrifice to serve their god's perfect design.
I'm fed up of David. Ash was very nasty and I wonder what evil aliens he would have created from the goo? Did Ash go evil and mad due to following the mission and having to get rid of any threat to the mission which was Ripley? Did he blow a fuse? Or did he......?

After watching the Prometheus blu-ray special editions...sigh...I just don't think Mr. Scott can pull this off...I so wish we could get this back story in front of him some how....

Mmm... actually, nevermind. This kinda sucks. First of all, David DIDN'T "create" the xenomorphs, they've already existed for thousands, if not millions or even billions of years. He created his own SPECIES of xenomorph that is unrelated to the species in the first three films, the alien-human hybrids, and the predator-bred ones which are chronologically the first we see but are clearly intended to be descendants of the species from the first three films. It's confirmed in the novelization that David created his own xenomorphs from scratch and they are different from any species we've seen before. Drunk Ridley Scott making shit up on the spot does NOT constitute word of god. Fox takes a strict approach to the timeline now because they require EU stuff to be submitted to them for approval, and as a result ALL EU stuff from around the time of Prometheus on is intended to take place well within the timeline of the films. ALL the films. You don't get to just ignore the ones you personally didn't like. It doesn't work that way.
Final word: David did NOT "create" the xenomorphs. They existed long, long before him, and his protomorphs only vaguely resemble the creatures in the other films anyhow. I don't give a shit what Ridley says, at the end of the day he does NOT have full creative control over the entire fictional universe of the alien films. PERIOD. There are people above him who keep these things in check and it is not fucking up to him to change something so fundamental to the entire franchise. Any potential stories that run with the idea would, then, represent a SPLIT from the original timeline, NOT a retcon, and the possibility of that happening is all of 0% because this new approach by Fox came about specifically to make things less confusing so ALL the alien media is consistent.

I think you did a wonderful job of tying these two franchises together. I was looking forward to both prequels but they left me disappointed due to the inconsistencies that should have been obvious to anybody that really cared about exploring the alien universe further. so thanks so much for a story that I think does justice to this epic odyssey.

Great "Theory" if you can call it that - since it's, like you said, more your personal addition to the lore. This would work flawlessly though imo. That there would be need for some kind of third intelligent race to tie up the loose ends of the human-engineer relation was probably shared by many, especially after Covenant, but the way you thought of the engineers bein created by the "alphas" in the image of the humans fits soooo peeerfectly (ಥ_ಥ) ! Every since Prometheus - for me personally - it felt like it should be obvious that the engineers were too "heinous" to be mankinds humble creators who would welcome them on their homeworld and since the possible explanation for that issue - the engineer civil war - was not addressed in Covenant, it makes just so much more sense to have them be put in a more passive role concerning their capabilities to create (good) and their impact in the background. This also fits well with the "simple" and humble, not-war-waging- engineers on Paradise. The hostility towards(or rivalry between Engineers and) humans would also make perfect sense, considering that the Engineers(or maybe just the Xenoengineers) were probably frustrated and in vain after realising they were merely created as a replication of humans instead of the mighty "creators" they probably thought they were destined to be. This would finally give the Engineers as a whole a lot more debth because of their own struggle to find and explain their own origin and purpose ....It possibly drives(or drove) them even more than it did the humans, since the Engineers at some point knew for sure that they were "just creations" And there you have your multi-layered, deep antagonism between humans and Engineers! : The (modern) humans have known they were a product of evolution but deep inside craved to fit into a bigger picture, where on the other hand the (Xeno)Engineers are too obsessed with power to accept they are merely someone elses product. So in a way they are both pretty equally disappointed, mad and confused about it. - sad :(
EDIT(to match part two):
After watching the second part, there ist literally not much to add. You kind of went the other way around about how either Engineers and humans are dissapointed with them being created or having evolved, but that doesn't tip it all over, I guess.
The addition about how David was eventually killed off after trying to spread his own goo-creations is a great tie-in to xplain how the derelict in Alien 1 ended up on LV-426. BUT I must say I can't agree with the idee that David solely created the Xenomorph.
First: The Xenomorph is the core element of the whole Alien franchise. This way or another it would feel (for me) like way too much of plot filler and essentially taking away all of the mystery behind it. Plus: The mural in Prometheus clearly showed (classic)Facehuggers, not the Trilobytes that are part of the Deacon's - e.g. "Engineer-created-Xeno's" lifecycle! Considering that David could not have created the classic Xenomorph and further considering that the Decons were also around presumably long before David - somewhere created by the Engineers - David would most likely have tried to study the Engineers and reverse-engineer their creations or whatever they took over from the "Alphas" instead of coming up with the idea of bipedal xeno-like aliens on his own. Up to that point he has probably studied enough to know that Engineers and Alphas were up to studying on Xenos themselves. I see it the way that David was obsessed with the Goo THEN he found out about the Xenos and AFTER THAT tried to recreate a Xenomorph or close to that with the limited possibilities that he was left with on Paradise world. Deacon and Xenomorph need human hsts either way, so David probably used dead or spared Engineers as hosts. maybe that's also why some of the "prototypes" in his workshop look so deformed.
Second: How could David be killed off by two "Alphas" if he is alive at the end of Covenant. Maybe his developed evil personality leads him to wanting to destroy humanity, so that the Alphas intervene but why not earlier? They would have been more alert when they saw the Juggernaut-bomber arriving on Paradise than they would be during the events near the ending of Covenant, wouldn't they?🤔
Because of that I think there must be a different explanation for the incident that lead to the stranding of the Derelict prior to Alien 1.

I agree with David not being a sole creator. I think the Engineers had already done it, and possibly other unknown alien species out in space. For the David being killed off part, that happens after the covenant movie. Thanks for the indepth comments and for checking out my channel!!

This is what needs to be done! Adding. No more retcon. i HATE it when producers retcon. Don't they have advisors somewhere who say "Um, sir?... You can't do that. The stories conflict now and you'll loose fans. It's not what the consumers want."
