Infected blood scandal 'not an accident' with 'catalogue of failures', public inquiry finds

- The infected blood scandal was "not an accident" - and its failures lie with "successive governments, the NHS, and blood services", a public inquiry has found.
From the 1970s, 30,000 people were "knowingly" infected with either HIV or Hepatitis C because "those in authority did not put patient safety first", the inquiry's report said. Around 3,000 people died.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak offered a "wholehearted and unequivocal" apology to the victims of the infected blood scandal, saying it was a "day of shame for the British state".

Government needs to be abolished over this and start again. Individuals responsible should be imprisoned over this.

Everyone involved needs their medical licences taken away, regardless of how acclaimed and successful they may be.

Yet millions trusted government and rolled up their sleeves recently with no idea what they were actually getting. Let's see how long the quest for justice for the injured or dead is going to take

Why now? After decades? How and why has it taken this long and again why now?
This has been rumbling on for years.. 2 Conservative governments and 2 Labour kicked it into the long grass..

And like always no one will go to prison.
We have an illusion, that all doctors are ' good '. And the govern-ment is meant to help. Also research Tuskegee Experiment in th US. Alot of people in authoritative positions are 'self serving' , not 'sevice to others', and 'power over others'. my heart goes out to all these courageous ,strong people who have treated so ....I struggle to find a fitting word.
In the past, I thought that 'evil' just was not a real thing. Then someone explained a new idea - 'evil' is ' live' backwords. Had never occurred to me til that moment. Some people just sem to be against ' live' or life. Some people find joy in creating and building sandcastles, and a few appear to enjoy knocking them down and destroying.
Love and light to all involved.
My thoughts are with those who were made to suffer this outrage.

Wow. I heard it wss in UK, France and Italy. (& I think Japan.) Did the US companies pay big damages? Was there a class action suit?
If it’s deemed not accidental is someone being charged or is this all for nothing other than a headline and political gain
