I don't see why they are attracted to each other. She is posh and he is penny less. He must be amazing hon bed
It’s a case of opposites attract, besides her father is a dyed in wool working class lad that just happens to own his own business but is married to a woman ( played by Benedict Cumberbatch’s mum, Wanda Ventam ) whom prefers or aspires to high tea on the lawn of a country club, whereas he prefers pie and mash and a pint in a pub. Ironically it’s the mother that’s more embarrassing to Cassandra when she gets drunk herself and gets all amorous with Del, not the dad. Cassandra is only “ posh “ due to her upbringing and education, and yes Rodney is lower class but she doesn’t care about that, she likes him a lot and that’s all that mattered.

@@jane1975 Rodney & Cassandra dislike all of each others' friends. They want very different things out of life. She expects him to become middle-class & cultured. He expects her to become a housewife.
Cassandra is the only character who doesn't fit into OFAH. It's difficult to believe that she & Rodney would want each other. She'd choose someone middle class & he'd choose someone fun. It's difficult to root for them as a couple, because they're so mismatched.

Completely disagree. Rodders had GCSE's, would often mock Del Boy's lack of etiqutte's.

She takes away his sense of fun. He goes from enjoying life & looking forward to the future to being rather unhappy. He psychologically becomes middle-aged in a matter of months.
Completely agree with you Andrew! I always thought when she joined the cast her scenes were always awkward and Rodneys character changed for the worse
This is where this sitcom starts to go rotten. Did the woman playing Cass actually audition or did they just grab a random passers-by as she's the worst actor to appear on uk TV since the kids from Why don't you.
