I believe what Uncle Brando was getting at with the 5 color Eldrazi is that you cannot include wastes in your basic land that were not drafted. By making them require colored mana they are playable without relying on having to draft land that creates colorless mana.
I am so so so glad Brando talked about Glimpse the Impossible. When I first saw that art I instantly fell in love with it. So sad that it does not come in a retro frame version.
