Yes! It's one of those watches that look extremely different online, especially the size. In-hand it's lovely. This is my most complimented watch, I get much more complements on my OM than most of my more expensive pieces.
I still have my SKX781K3 Orange Monster which I bought from Island Watch on 01/11/2015 for $189.00.. Never wore it and it is still in the original box with the manual and hangtag. Amazed at the prices they are getting for these now on Ebay.
I bought my first Monster because I was tired of all my skx 007, 9 and other cheaper seiko 100 meter divers crapping out on me. The First Monster I bought around 2006. Loved the color and it was much more shock resistant than my previous Seiko Divers/ Today I own 4 ltd Monsters . Great review and thanks for sharing.
Omg I missed the black monster ones what lossed, but I still kept the Orange ones..it was more 10 years ago I collected...the beatiful watch 😍😍😍🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️
First of all, I want to sincerely thank you for your top-notch reviews! It's a rare trait these days for a reviewer to give personal opinions while being subtle. I love your method and I hope you continue doing these excellent reviews. Secondly,,,, What is the differences between the old Monster and the new Monster? P.S. I still think it's ugly, regardless of its quality.
Aesthetically, the new Monster has triangular hour markers instead of the rectangle shape of the old Monster. The new one does away with the printed minute/seconds numbers. The crown has been changed as well. Inside, the old Monster used a 7S26 movement, the new one uses a 4R36 that is hackable. There are probably other differences but these seem to be the major ones.
Had million of chances to snap one of these gen 1 orange monsters years ago for discounted price, but never really pull the trigger. Kinda regret it now..
Me in 2015: Damn, this watch looks ugly af. Imma get the Mako for sure Me in 2018: I'm not gonna sell my Monster. You can take a look at my Samurai instead. I bought it but haven't worn it any moment
I first thought it was ugly but have come to fall in love with it!!! One of my favorites in my collection!
yeah me too, i used to hate it, but after i handle and own it myself, its one of my favorites

Excellent review, love the craft beer analogy. I have the black "baby" monster and love. A little different though.
Worth a lot more now! First watch I bought that actually went up in value!! ;)
Mine is on the way to me right now. Can’t wait to wear it! If I’m lucky then it’s from my birth year or even month as well!! Wish me luck
Invicta has a similar design i'm guessing it's a copy "homage" to the monster? Invicta model no. 7048
great review love your channel
keep up the good work cheers

An ugly watch. Can't beat the more traditional Submariner type Seikos, but thanks for the review, it's always nice to know more about these machines.
Ugly, but my first automatic and the reason I got into watches.
chillwill120 Haha! Yes.
