Nice summary. I too have been experimenting to find my preferred expert combo. Having six dogs, a male and female of each race with slight variations in their trait makeup, they are now all well on their way to become competent in their second expertise, giving me all the options. As it's mostly about small game these days and the joy of downing flushed birds in flight, the pointing skill ranks high, but since this can result in such massive numbers of harvests (and me being obsessive about never breaking my consec streak) -there can be a lot of bodies to pick up. Retrieval is wonderful, but sometimes even the labs can't manage to return with everything, and tracking becomes essential. In short, I conclude I always have to carry a tent to have the option to switch, but I guess the two tracker/retrievers will be used the least.
@@3_D-nz4nl5xh7w Yes, I wasn’t going to use it on my Lab until I did the pheasant grind! Trying to find blood in the middle of the woods after a bad shot was almost impossible! Loving the choice!
Does it help your bonding if you smear peanut butter over your nadsack and let the dog go at it? When i was a kid it certainly worked for our families alsation.
@@buck7976 no! That’s what the disclaimer was for at the end of the video! Your base dog is who gets the perks, so if you value pointing and want a retriever, use the pointer
@@ryanbarth6691 I’ll have to check it out! I do have a video about what if cotw made a movie that has three cinematic trailers.. you haven’t watched it yet?

@@murgh I didn’t think about that to have 6 dogs, 1 male 1 female… and have them each expert dog in a different trait! Love it
@@JBizHunts I try to be thorough, and there are many coats to try. I think I made the best trait choices with the females.
@ you just set me off Murph! Now I’m doing this my next play session.
@@JBizHunts Very nice. Pretty enjoyable subplot to shape the hounds.
Very helpful, thank you.
@@The1BigShoe thanks for the comment it really helps
Very nice break down. I'm using tracker on my lab. Been really helpful. 🍻

Are you going to stream this week
@@Bravesfan645 I’m hoping to do streams in early 2025. With the holidays and getting a new set up it’s not in the cards before year end!
Ok

I did not see those commands on the command wheel 🤷
@JBizHunts 😃😃😃 we need to lobby for them to be added.
@hahaha
So can i choose perks in the secondary skill for my expert hunting dog or no?

You should make a realistic cinematic hunting show just like surly jester's playing tag

I applied but I’m not sure if they are accepting new partners at this time. I fit their requirements which is cool
It will not point to crocodiles either but he will bark at them
@@kidlo2050 yeah, because crocodiles and alligators are class 6 to 9 predators.
