Rhaenys riding Meleys The Red Queen spoiled Aegon's Coronation and flew Dragonstone to warn Queen Rhaenyra of the situation.
Meleys The Red Queen spared the lives of King Aegon II & his whole family in House of the Dragon
Princess Rhaenys while imprisoned by Queen Alicent Hightower, escaped and approached with her dragon Meleys. She could have roasted the entire family of Otto Hightower, Aemond Targaryen, Helena Targaryen, but she spared their lives by a gesture of mercy and a warning.
Meleys, nicknamed the Red Queen, is a she-dragon ridden by Princess Rhaenys Targaryen. Covered in scarlet scales, she has accents of bright copper. It is her unique coloring for which she received her nickname. In her youth, she is said to have outpaced even Caraxes and Vhagar.

Well he's a bastard (And everyone knows) that cut out the eye of a prince. In the context of a medieval world people wouldn't be surprised if he was executed, let alone robbed of an eye. On top of that he's posing as a rival claimant to the throne.

Whole episode showed Aemond was running off of pure adrenaline and angst . The fool wasn’t thinking at all.
It likely won't turn out as such, but my fantasy is that Season 2 will start with Alicent repeatedly bitch-slapping Aemond to the tune of "WHAT! WERE! YOU! THINKING!", plus tearing him a new one for removing Rhaenyra's last hesitation against bloodshed, all for the sake of his pride and ego.
"Cousin Aemond, I will gladly fight you when I am old enough to do so. My question is, why are you so eagre to do so now while I am still small?"
Aemond is Rhaenyra's younger half brother so he's Lucerys uncle not cousin.

I know it’s been detailed that he isn’t exactly smart since he can’t read, but Lord Boros was truly a moron for not keeping Aemond under temporary guard until Lucerys was completely out of harm’s way. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but it doesn’t take a genius to see that Lucerys and Aemond leaving at the same time would spell disaster when Aemond was literally just trying to take Luke’s eye under Boros’ own roof.

He doesn’t care if they kill each other he just doesn’t want it done under his hospitality.
In the books it's basically implied that Borros knew Aemond was probably gonna kill him, and told him to do it outside. You can kind of tell here, but Borros took offense to basically being offered nothing.
I think Lucerys would’ve been more willing if Aemond hadn’t thrown the knife on the ground. You want him to cut his eye out on the floor of Storms’ End? Do we know when the last time said floors were washed? Gross. At least have the courtesy to hand him the knife yourself, Aemond.

Besides, it was Aegon who was the actual bully and even then that's most standard elder brother and little brother relationship.
Either way that Pink dread thing was ONE incident and even then it's not even that bad of a prank. People get bullied a lot worse for a lot less, Aemond was just a pussy (until he claimed Vhagar, that scene pisses me off but still that fucking cold from Aemond).
