Hello... I have one question about cam. I bought Jansite dash cam. Displey on the left side. I put memory card 16 gb. I have problem with adjusting time and date when I turn on camera... It cant memory date and time. Everytime when I set this data, it is correct. When I turn off car, it deleted date and time and put 2019 year.... Everytime I need again to set time and date. Do anyone know, what is the problem? Tnx
Hi, thank you for sharing this vid.... i have a question... i bought the same type of dash cam, but i have noticed that backup camera comes only red wire for reverse light connection... Do u think it will be able to work?
Hi, you're welcome. Err I don’t know for sure mate but if its made that way then id assume so. Id guess that that red wire is a trigger wire and that it gets its negative (as well maybe the power too) through the main wire that comes from the front camera/mirror and your red wire is just a switch. Where as mine is maybe using the power from my rear light to work the rear camera when in reverse, hence a red and black wire to make a new circuit, and then overrides the front cam. I'm just guessing here so don't hold me on it, but there is one way to find out, try test fitting it.
Hey Lee, I bought an Ebay unit that just has the one red wire. When I created a circuit to a positive wire it activates the rear camera as like in your video (I have yet to wire it to my reverse light). Of interest I could not get the rear camera to work when I was using USB cable connected to a Cig lighter to 2 xUSB ports 3 Amp. I then plugged in the provided the power supply and all worked as normal. I must have a dodgy 12v USB outlet.

I don't know, but one guess could be that the internal battery is dead so it's resetting to factory settings every time you cut the power.

Just curious to know 100% for sure, did wiring the one single red wire into the reverse light circuit work to activate the reversing camera screen?

it´s cam watherproof??
Yes the small rear cam is waterproof and made to be fitted on the outside of the car or inside. I fitted mine inside so have not tested it outside.

Red wire is live, Black is ground. The red wire for the reversing camera switch needs to go into your reverse light circuit.
