Aww I'm sad you dropped "I Want to be a Receptionist", it's one of my favorite series right now!
But that being said...
1) I'm reading the original in Japanese, no idea how they adapted it in English
2) I 100% agree that the "receptionist" part is definitely kind of a detail in the storyline 🤣
I like it for the relationships between characters (and right now (chap 33+) for the battle ongoing♥), but hey to each its own preferences :)

King in limbo has been enjoyable. Hope it can wrap up somewhat satisfying enough! So many series i want to try, not enough time 😅

8:25- I'm so RELIEVED you approve of Tezuka's Astro Boy during the pandemic I paid a lot of $$$ for the original vintage Daek Horse "thick" six or eight volumes they're all still wrapped in plastic wrap and I haven't read them because not long ago I found myself in an existential rut I can't dig myself out of and Tezuka genius that he is happens to be very existential bordering on philosophically pessimistic .

21:46- thanks for the heads up on Don't Toy With Me I have eight volumes since beginning of lock downs and I was drawn to the charming cover art truth be told so I'll hold off on ever buying more .

It's almost impossible for me to comprehend that Blood On The Tracks is from the same author artist as Flowers of Evil - night and day flowers of evil is crass juvenile manipulation and silly games Blood on the Tracks is high stakes consequences for mental illness And Sigmund Freud's Oeidepus Complex the ONLY series I don't want to end and at sixteen volumes it's my favorite manga series .

Boat Life Vol 2 is still coming. According to Ryan Holmberg hopefully this winter. We are switched on The Fable and Brief Moment of Ichika. The Fable Vol 1 was one of my favorite new volumes this year. While Ichika was going ok but when the big reveal happened I laughed out loud at its ridiculousness and it was awful from that moment on.

Definitely keep going with MYF! It gets really good at volume9 to 10.
