- Seriously! Capcom snuck in and made another Street Fighter The Movie fighting game for the Playstation 1. I had no idea they made one, so I had to try it out to see what it's all about. I saw they added new characters, but let's see if it's as janky as the first game!

I don't care what anybody says, this game should've been included in the 30th Anniversary Collection.
They really should put the Arcade version and the console version in a compilation, give it rollback netcode, heck, put SFA3 MAX on there too.

@@BridgetGX According to Stephen Frost, who was the producer of Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, he said in X (formerly known as Twitter) that there were plans to include the arcade version of SF:TM as part of the compilation, but the idea was scrapped due to legal issues and the fact that it was made in an arcade board that's notoriously difficult to emulate.
@@Supermetabros92 I can understand the legal issues, the movie was made by a Hollywood company and the game about it was made not by Capcom, but by the company that made Time Killers and Bloodstorm

The actors didn’t come back. This was all filmed as the movie was being filmed. There’s an excellent story on Polygon that details the production of both the movie and game.
And the reason T.Hawk isn't in the game is because his actor ran the fuck away on the day he was supposed to do his mocap LMAO
But blanka was in the console version and not the arcade one.

You know. All these years watching fighting games with ground slide moves, I never really thought about it. But if you were on the ground shirtless and sliding on your back that would definitely hurt you more than the opponent lol
I was born with the inherent awareness of this game .. like how sharks can map the bottom of the ocean, I too can sense any instance of this game in my vicinity
Oh My God. Chun's face at the end was her expressing what all of us were feeling at that moment. They knew damn well what was coming when we saw the ending and stuck her right there as if to say,"Yeah. I know what you're thinking and we don't care."
I like how all the actors mocap their iconic special move animations but in the actual film there was little to no representation of these special moves lol
This was on Saturn too. I played this because I got it for my birthday. My dad just saw "street fighter" and thought I'd like it lol.

I heard that Capcom Japan were so appalled by the arcade game that they decided to try and reconstitute it into something more along the lines of ST. I think they just selected certain frame poses from the arcade version and tried to re-build and re-time the moves with them.

True story, the guy who played t Hawk, only came to get his cash and then leave. He didn't want to take part in the game.

Man this is the version i grew up playing, i had it on the Saturn. It's basically an ugly version of Super Turbo lol. One cool thing i actually did like (the only thing really) were the EX moves, i thought they were pretty cool in this one, and what's dumb is that once you get full super meter you can just do EX moves all you want without the meter draining at all unless you do super. I might be wrong, but i think this was actually the first SF with EX moves believe it or not.
Ur right, and I would always get my meter up as Ryu and just spam the EX hadoken where he throws 2 of them 😂

also I wonder what top level play looks like on this game, it looks so slow and boring to play but it's hilarious to see how they got real people to imitate the characters moves....like blanka's downtoward HP slide, he flips onto his back, raises both hands above head and slides on his back😂

Some of the soundtracks of the game are really good, my favorite would be Zangief's theme and Justin being triple yoink'ed by him is just something hilarious.

That Blanka is hands down one of the derpiest fighting game characters I have ever seen thats meant to be taken seriously.
This was one of the first games I played on the Playstation because my brother rented it. I didn't know how different it was from the arcade version until I got to see the emulated versions.

- Technically the first SF with EX moves
- Also the first SF with a story mode

@@Felipera_ SF2 is a 'fluke'. Hell, cancels are a glitch that weren't even supposed to be in SF2. There is a reason that newer SF games are more curated in their gameplay options.

My friend got this with his launch Playstation back in the day. It was jank, but we still played the shit out of it lol. Because ST basically didn't exist in the arcades where I live, this was our first foray into SF with super moves.

Saddest thing about this game for me, before SF Collection got released to the playstation, this was the closest Super Turbo fix I had for years...
I just finished the arcade version and my viewers laughed a lot i just used crouching heavy kick spam to end the game (it worked actually)..
You should fight akuma in this game if you go through the game without losing any rounds after you defeat sagat akuma should appear in place of m bison

Actually, the PS1 version of Street Fighter: The Movie is the Movie Version of Super Turbo as you can also do juggle combos for example, Chun-Li 's super followed with a tenshokyaku afterwards.
And also, just like the Super Turbo versions, both Chun and Honda also have the special super charge!
Honestly looks like they recycled the PS1 version of Super Turbo, added brand new EX moves, re-skinned it and called it a day
