*Heyyy! It always feels so good to make it to Aldi & score some amazing deals - it definitely takes me back to the first days of RUclips & when my kiddos were little! Where do you shop weekly for groceries and if you lived closer, where would you ideally grocery shop each week?!*
Hey, just a little tip I learned from AuriKatariina (that Finland girl, that clean nasty houses). Fold your cleaning cloth in half, another half and one more time. You will have 8 clean surfaces to wipe off the surfaces and it’s more comfortable to hold. Love the video 🌺🌼🌸, still watching ...
I store my cilantro and green onions, etc, the same way. Then, I also put a clear plastic bag (gallon twist tie bags) over the top and put a rubber band around the bag and jar. Leaving the bag kind of poofed around the herb. My cilantro lasts over 3 weeks this way. Hope that helps!
I'm from Northern Ontario, Canada, and find it totally fascinating to see the difference in grocery store prices! You pointed out a container of blueberries being $3?!?! Yesterday, the smallest container of blueberries at my local grocery store was $8.99 😂😭 Love your videos Amanda!!
I also find it fascinating how cheap things are there. I have seen adult clothes at Walmart in some videos for under $5. Can’t find that in a Canadian Walmart. Or when we buy something online that is US dollar and it costs us double in Canadian. 😞But then their dollar is worth more!!! So that could be the reason.
I'm a huge Aldi's fan. I pay the cart forward. If there is someone coming in who needs it, I just give them the cart. Most times it was given to me, or the quarter was left in the cart to begin with. Great job ❤
I love this. I live in Europe right now (stationed abroad) and it took a solid year for me to get into the habit of having a euro or a two-euro coin on hand at all times. So that “pay it forward” cart was a game changer in my life. this comment inspires me to ensure there is always one available
I'm excited to hear that you're starting keto! I've been doing keto for over an year now. I reversed my prediabetes, lost 50 pounds so far. And have seen so many health benefits from eating this way. I will not go back to the old way I used eat. It has definitely become my lifestyle.😊
Aldi is my favorite grocery store. The quality is great and prices can’t be beat. I don’t use PowerWash any more. Too pricey. I keep a small bottle of dawn at my sink and use a squirt on my cloth if I just have a few dishes. Otherwise, I do it the old fashioned way and fill the sink with Dawn soapy water and wash the dishes. I also use a sink full of Dawn soapy water to clean my kitchen and sink.
Homemade Dawn Dish spray, YES!!! 1/4 cup detergent 1-2TBSP rubbing alcohol (70% is disinfecting grade.. I use the 91%) Fill the rest of the bottle with water. Because the alcohol inhibits lots of bubbles, I also put it in my hand soap containers that make the foam.
Happy Monday🤗! My husband and I would make Aldi trips weekly when we lived in Minnesota and absolutely love their products and prices. Since we just recently moved to Arizona, unfortunately we have been slacking a bit. Aldi is more than happy to let you take boxes to pack your groceries, in the event that you do not want to buy their bags or you forget to bring your own. I have been living a keto lifestyle for about four years and appreciate that I can find affordable keto/low carb options at Aldi. ❤Amanda
Aldi's is my absolute favorite place to shop. I love it for two main reasons, I am able to find organic produce, and their prices are excellent!! I also love the special item aisle. I have gotten many great finds for my home from Aldi!
I’m also doing keto, kind of dirty keto. But loved watching your Aldi finds. Aldi is my very most favorite. Also reading the comments from the ladies in Canada I am SO thankful to be living here and have access to these affordable stores. 🙏🏼
I love your grocery hauls and restocking videos, and I don't deep clean my fridge so often either, I just wipe down whatever is needed. I've been storing produce in mason jars for years, it really helps it last so much longer, especially strawberries! Enjoy your week Amanda ❤
My fridge badly needed a wipe down so I took 15 minutes and just cleared stuff out. It was nice to know it was done. Now to get under it at some point.
Hi, Aldi is my place to shop, I dont do Wal-mart or my local store that much. I do like to food prep it does help a lot especially at the end of the day. Thank you for those kind words at the end of the video. God bless you and your family.🤗
Hi Amanda, I agree that the Powerwash is too expensive because so easy/fast to go thru a bottle. I have been using homemade for approx 1 year and love it. Here’s my recipe: 2 TBSP Dawn dish soap, 1 TBSP Isopropyl 70% Alcohol Antiseptic and the rest of the dawn powerwash bottle of distilled water. I don’t make it in advance since it’s so easy to do when you run out. Don’t forget to shake before using…and there you go. Oh and another thing I use instead of BKF or comet or bon ami…baking soda. Yes I love cleaning my sink, like you, and I use my homemade powerwash with baking soda…just great!
I'm a pretty big Aldi's fan. I have been shopping one for about 30 yrs. I enjoy watching what you come up with inside the store. I also enjoy Keto. It has really helped me keep up with myself. Thanks for sharing.
Love this haul! And I agree, I thought the prices jumped up a lot at Aldi but they seem to be coming back down and now I find myself in there more often than I was during this past year or so
Hi Amanda, we call it the middle isles, the stuff that is changed each week! our Aldi and Lidl change it twice a week. Aldi and Lidl were partners until they broke up. It's a German family group. Shopping in Aldi in Germany is totally different from here too, as it is in usa! I agree though you can most not all of what you need, i tend to shop at Aldi and Asda which is your Walmart. I prefer delivery like you.. lol
I haven't tried Aldi in a while myself. May try to check it out thid week. BTW, I like to clean out my fridge before going to the store. 1) Lets me see what I have & if anything has gone bad. 2) Clears out space for new purchases 3) I can put things away immediately, then pull things out as I have timeb,(and energy) to do food preps (chop veggies, grate cheese, etc) for recipes I plan to make that week. Sometimes the whole process takes 3 days - one day to clean out fridge, check inventory in fridge, freezers, & pantry, then meal plan based on what I have & sales ads. Day 2 to shop. Day 3 is food prep. I am older, so doing it all in one day is too much for me. I have to pace myself.
TIP for herbs/green onions! Place a plastic produce bag over the tops of them and then kind of twist around the top of the jar and tuck it under itself just to try and contain the bag. We can get them to last months doing this and changing out the water every 5 days or so. We always use mason jars and it works amazing for produce! I would LOVE to have an Aldi but we live in Montana so that will never happen haha! We do have a Whole Foods now so maybe there’s hope 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I have been storing fresh fruit and vegetables in mason jars for years now. I also store fresh cilantro and parsley mason jar with water in the bottom but I put storage bag over the top. Try to seal the bag the best you can will last for weeks.
We didn’t have Aldi in Colorado but now that we moved to Michigan we can go. After this video it made me really want to check out the products and prices. Way cheaper in a lot of products! Thanks for your motivation!
Aldi is a German store. Shopped the German ones when I lived there, then got back to the states and was so excited they were here! I had not lived in any states that had one before now.
Hi Amanda❤I always enjoy your videos when you do your food prep and shopping. I have taken some of your ideas and implemented into my household and is very proud to say that i enjoy it and it works.❤❤❤❤
I really enjoy green onions and have a hard time keeping them from wilting, id love to know if the mason jar hack is really worth it and your thoughts about refrigerator juices getting on them.
I love aldis! I like to do most of my shopping there and get special things from my local grocery. If i lived closer to costco i would go there more often. Right now we make a bigger trip every 4 months or so because we live over an hour away
Since the beginning of January my husband and I have only shopped at Aldi's. WE LOVE IT! We have literally cut our food bill in half. Our attitude is, "if Aldi's doesn't have it, we don't eat it" lol. They're very good for keto - we both also started Keto (again!) in January and have no problem finding good quality projects there. And, if we don't feel like shopping, our Aldi's has home delivery now (I think through Instacart). We love going though - the only tough part is staying strong when going thru the weekly finds aisle. That's a killer for me, but I'm also on a low-spend, "only essentials" year, and so far I've been OK lol. 😁
I'm in the UK. We have Aldi's in every town. I literally have 3 within a 10 minute drive. Top for storing broccoli, great it like a bunch of flowers. Buy it on the stem, take a little off the bottom and stand in a mug/glass of water and place in fridge. This will keep it fresh for weeks. Also place carrots in a tub with kid and cover with water and put in fridge. Again, will keep for weeks. Found these hacks during lockdown and they were a blessing.
30:26 How are you liking having your green onions out? I love it! They look pretty, they keep growing and even growing back when I cut them, and they’re sooo fresh and moist that way. It’s kind of like having them in an herb garden.
Hey Amanda 😊 I love your vlogs so much you always give us great tips so today I thought I’ll give you one that worked great for me, so to store your herbs try wrapping them with paper towel and lay them out in a container with lids make sure you close the lid tight and you can store all of them in one container just don’t forget to wrap them with paper towel, it stayed fresh for me for few weeks I hope it’ll work for you too, bye 💚
I make dawn spray myself. Use dawn platinum and water in spray bottle. May have to add more water shake it adjust it but it work . No other stuff. It works
I'm in Canada and I have made the Dawn recipe. It works as well as the original. But I use Distilled water like the recipe I had found suggested and a big jar will last you a long time.
I’ve never been to Aldi, but now I’m really going to have to check it out. It’s just down the road from the grocery store I normally go to. Looks like good prices 😊
I just started doing some shopping at Aldi’s. They just recently opened one in the township next to ours. We have a store called Marc’s which a lot of the time has better prices then even Aldi’s.
For cilantro in water cover with paper towel ( just the leaves at the top) , then cover with plastic bag ( I use the ALDIs bag that the cilantro comes in) wrap with rubber band. The key is don’t have any leaves in the water, pull those off, only the stems in the water, lasts a couple weeks.
I actually just made the homemade version (11 oz water, 2 oz Dawn, 3 oz alcohol) this weekend. I think it works well so far, cuts through the grease, I haven’t used it with any baked on yuckiness yet. Now my warning, the rubbing alcohol particles stay airborne momentarily.
we have been doing keto for 9-10 months and we love it! we've lost so much weight and gained so much energy, it's insane. i don't think we'll ever go back to the high carb lifestyle we were on before. i also love shopping at aldi. we go there weekly for our produce and meats, sticking only to the outside aisles. we then do like a monthly shopping trip at bj's and/or food lion for anything aldi doesn't carry or that we need in bulk. my tips for making your produce last longer: (my produce typically lasts 1.5-2 weeks) fruits should be able to breath. most fruit lets off ethylene gas which, if stored in a sealed container, will make things spoil faster. i make sure all my fruit is stored in containers that have little vents, and that they go in the fruit drawer in the fridge because that will also have a vent. (examples - grapes, berries, grape tomatoes). exceptions are if things need to ripen, i leave them on the counter until there are nearly ready, then i put them in the fridge loose in the fruit drawer. (example - avocados, kiwi, mangos). yes i do put tomatoes in the fridge - i find that grape tomatoes keep really well in the fridge and helps them stay firm which i like. veggies do not produce ethylene, but can be very sensitive to ethylene. therefore, i store veggies in sealed containers with no vent. they also go in the veggie drawer which does not have a vent. exceptions: things that stay loose in the veggie drawer would be peppers, cucumbers (uncut), zucchini. if buying mushrooms, do not prep these ahead of time. leave these alone in their store bought container with the plastic wrap until ready to use. i usually do one big prep session the night i go grocery shopping or the next day. i wash everything, then lay it all out on kitchen towels to dry. i wait at least 3 hours until everything is completely dry, THEN store it in the appropriate containers with paper towels (the paper towel trick i learned from you!). i also place kitchen towels in the bottom of the fruit and veggie drawers to help absorb excess moisture (plus it helps keep the drawers clean bc i can just swap out the towels when things get dirty). when it comes to lettuce/spinach/any other leafy green, i have stored them in the same way as veggies and they keep for about a week. but i have also stored them rolled in a kitchen towel and then just placed in the veggie drawer which makes them last like 1.5 weeks. basically once washed and dried, i transfer the lettuce to a dry kitchen towel, then just roll it up so the different layers of towel will help keep the lettuce dry as it sits in the fridge. lastly - i have seen this but have not tried this - i saw the best way to store cut/baby carrots, cut cucumber, and cut celery is to actually place them in mason jars, then fill them with cold water and seal, then place in fridge. they can apparently last several weeks like this. mine are usually gone within the week, so i havent had the need to store them like this, but i guess if you have a lot and need to squeeze a few more days out of it, that's something to try. i have also seen that the way you did your green onions and herbs is supposedly the right way to do it, or it also says you can wrap them in a damp paper towel, then seal it in a plastic bag or container. i dont buy these, so i dont have the experience to back this up. in fact, as im typing this, i just remembered i have lettuce drying on my counter that i need to put away lol. thanks for the motivation!
Ahh! Omgsh thank you so much for all of your incredible tips!! You have a wealth of knowledge for sure! And what an amazing thing to be feeling so much better on keto! It sounds like you’re doing keto the right way with lots of clean food and low carb produce! I love this so much more than the “dirty” keto from when it got popular years ago … keep it up!!
@@ThisCrazyLife yes we definitely are. since may of last year i have lost 64 lbs and feel so much better. im not done yet with my goals, but this will definitely be a lifestyle change for sure
I bought 3 Dawn power wash just to gather the bottles, I’ve been making it since the first bottle ran out, quite happy with it too. Being in Ontario Canada we had the Aldi equivalent here called Valdi but it’s been gone a great many years now.
I've never been to Aldi. But I'm a frequent Winco shopper. Best prices out there! I do watch Smith's for deals too though. Especially on meat. I will go to Costco to really stock up though but sometimes those meat deals even beat the bulk price. I try to do a nighttime cleaning routine. I have also tried to get in the habit of picking up as I go. It gets hard after a day of baking for a family gathering, but I always try at the very least to pick up and wipe down. Not always dishes, but I make an effort to at the very least get to them the next day. It is seriously an effort but the pay off is a much cleaner house which equals more peace.
I have never lived where there is an Aldi. Are their pruces and items really that good?? Also , i really enjoy watching your vlogs!! They uplift and motivate me a lot. Thanks!!
Love Aldi but haven't been there in a while. Mostly Walmart delivery bc it is so easy and I don't impulse buy. Always enjoy your videos...they put me in a motivational mood 💜💙💚💛🧡
Maybe put a gallon or quart sized freezer bag over the top of the herbs and green onions to protect them? I love the look of the mason jars and I absolutely LOVE Aldi. There is one that we used to shop at, but it is no longer that close to where we live now.
Amanda, my mom always kept gr onions in a mason jar with a little water on the kitchen table and they lasted a long time:) we didn’t put them in the fridge, maybe try that?
I have thought about Aldi's but never been in one. I like doing my own shopping so I may give them a try. Love the look of the products available. I love saving on groceries. I was looking forward to part 2 of the Master Bedroom make over. Did you get the hints I sent you? I love the declutter videos but I can only do so much of it. I am still in my camper and still looking for a new place to lay my head. Thank you for sharing your home with all of us. Have a great week. Till next time ❤
I live in Utah and have never been to an Aldi! I did laugh at trader Joes, it is great for specialty and seasonally themed foods, and I do try to keep a bag of the orange chicken in my freezer, but it for sure is not an everyday grocery store! I typically do my grocery shopping at Smith's (I love looking in the clearance section for meat or produce to stock up and freeze!) and also go to Costco frequently. I am not as close to a winco but wonder if it really would help my grocery budget...
Thanks for the video. I have an Aldi nearby and have never been in it. I have been to Lidl and recommend it. BTW, Aldi and Lidl are owned by 2 German brothers, but are now separate companies.. Trader Joe's was recently bought by Aldi.
Oh interesting! I’ll have to look up the official story bc I don’t remember officially where I heard that, but always neat to learn a backstory 😉 and I still haven’t been in a Lidl… but I’ve heard good things!!
@@ThisCrazyLife Just googled it they were founded by different families but the Aldi is two different companies and they had brothers in charge of them at one point. I’m in England and Aldi is often voted the cheapest supermarket even though other supermarkets here price match certain items. Wish we had Trader Joes over here ( and Target and Walmart). It will be interesting to see how well Lidl do over there. They made a big loss here last year. Many because they opened a lot of new stores.
I wish we had the stores here in South Africa that you guys have. And your prices are amazing compared to ours. Love watching what food items you can buy.
I miss Aldi so much! In northern Cali we have none. I look every once in a while to see if one is coming. We do have Winco though. But nothing beats Aldi for sure!
I like to make my own “power wash” but I use all natural dish soap (Grove Co., Mrs. Myers, etc) instead of dawn so it’s nontoxic. I’m happy with it. 🤗💕
I love me some Aldi’s! The meat department is very impressive. Great prices plus great quality. What more could we ask in these inflationary times? These recipes look so yummy. Might have to try some of them. One problem….I am married to a very traditional Mr. Meat and Potatoes kind of guy. He’s not big on trying new things and will eat only certain vegetables. I will halve the recipe and enjoy my own stash when he isn’t here. I too love the power wash, but haven’t yet tried the DIY method. Good to read some of the positive comments. Gotta watch that budget!
Aldi’s is definitely one of our staple stores as well. I’ve had friends & co- workers who have bought items I’ve been afraid to try (copy cats, don’t like, etc.) 😁and shared with me to see if I like them and I now have some new favorites! Thanks for the mason jar storage idea - definitely need to give that a try! Also, I’m right there with you on cleaning out my refrigerator! Looks great when it’s done but for some reason getting in there to do it is a whole new matter! 🤣
Hi Amanda, Kyle and family! I've been watching your channel for a couple of years now and yours is my favorite! I've purchased several of the Bloom Towels since watching your videos and have used your code for them! I love them just like you do! I'm currently trying the mason jar method for my produce since, like you, I want items that are grab and go and hope these last longer in these containters as well! Also, I too live in Arizona too but Aldi is not available where I live.....:(
Hi Amanda, loved watching today. Great recipes. Good luck on your new journey to healthier eating. Aldi is a great store I enjoy shopping there also. Can’t wait to see more on your bedroom makeover.Take care ❤
Hey Amanda Loved watching your video tonight I just wanted to message you and tell you while I was watching. I noticed your prep for the fresh cilantro you washed it and put it in the mason jar what I noticed is you did not tie a produce bag around the top top of it, they say you’re supposed to tie a produce bag around the top to keep the leaves moist and I noticed yours did not have it, so I just wanted to let you know, I live in Florida and I’m sure that’s the same way it is for you wash your cilantro, trim the stems put it in shallow water and then entire produce bag over the top of it loosely and it will keep the moisture in the leaves. thanks hope you’re doing
yayyy love my Aldi 😊 I’ve been an aldi shopper for over 10 years, just went on Friday lol always do one bigger trip per month to the regular grocery store but weekly is Aldi for sure ❤❤ thanks Amanda, very relaxing and fun video!
Great video Amanda, I love your recipes! I don't use the mason jars, but Im sure they work fine, it's only the 2 of us. I could eat a whole bag of grapes. So it just isn't workable for us. Thanks for sharing!♥️☺️🫂🐾🦉🍄🧶🧵🪡🖌🎨🖼📒📚✨️
I shop Aldis too.Always have had good luck with their produce. Also I have made the Dawn Spray for about 2 years now.Use dawn soap though I've tried other soaps in the reciepe but Dawn works the best.
Yes I have been making mine slot and its so inexpensive and it works great b the beautiful part is you can add a little more of the dawn dish soap and alcohol. I find I use more of the soap and its fine. I think its better than what you buy I highly recommend
Never heard of Aldi before. I don’t think there is one in my area at all. I plan to visit a friend in Iowa soon and I will ask her to take me. Thanks for sharing ❤
Pro tip: the 99 cent bags at the TJ Maxx checkout lanes are huge and perfect for shopping at Aldi. Not to mention, they’re super cute. 🩷 Also, Aldi’s restock day is Wednesday so that’s the best time to shop. The new stuff will be in the aisle of shame and meat & produce will be fresh.
I have been making my own diy dawn power wash since getting the initial bottle. I use 1 ounce of white alcohol and about 1.5 ounces of dawn dish soap and fill the bottle up with water. Then just rotate the bottle to mix, don't shake. You can adjust the amount of alcohol and soap if there is too much or not enough. I found that if I use too much soap then it doesn't spray as well and when I use too much alcohol then it was too strong.
I forget how great Aldi is. We have one right next to our Kroger and Walmart but I never make it in. For the last 6 months, we have been doing Kroger delivery. When you mentioned that Aldi made the trip “quick” unlike the larger stores, I went and watched your oldest video with your boys being so little 🥹. I am 34 years old with a 10 year old, 2 year old and 5 week old and thinking of grocery shopping with all 3 is giving me anxiety. I haven’t taken my little out in public. We only do school/daycare drop-offs and come back home. But once back to work from my maternity leave, your comment alone gave me a sense of peace for when those grocery shopping days do come. I’m so jealous that we are close to the same age and your boys are older 😂 the newborn and toddler stages are tough in my 30’s. I probably just feel this way since my job is being a 2nd grade teacher. I’m just tired 😅.
Oh gosh! You’re amazing! I’m so thankful for teachers 🙌🏼 and yes! The 30 minute full shopping trip was the best! Plus never too busy (like Walmart etc can be) so I don’t have to navigate through crowds with kids… Aldi is the best for shopping with littles!!
I can't recall ever shopping at Aldi. When I lived on the east coast we had Safeway and in western Washington I shopped Fred Meyer. Here in Manila we have SM Hypermarket and Robinson's , they're the big supermarkets.
I love Aldi! They have great options for different diets :)And I get dawn power wash when it’s on sale at Costco or Sam’s club if I can. It’s $8 for a spray and 2 refills :) haven’t tried making it yet
Love when you food prep and I agree it makes life so much easier. I’m with Kyle when it comes to eating meat off the bone, I hate that too Great video 👍🏼😊

I love Aldi's, so happy they finally added one to our small town!
I prefer delivery like you.. lol
Aisle 😂
That’s a great idea to clean out the fridge before the store - that must eliminate waste and overbuying!!
I am huge Aldi’s fan shop there all the time they love their prices. They’re the best around when you are on a tight budget. It helps a lot.
I have been storing fresh fruit and vegetables in mason jars for years now. I also store fresh cilantro and parsley mason jar with water in the bottom but I put storage bag over the top. Try to seal the bag the best you can will last for weeks.
Oooo thanks for the tip on the herbs etc!
Always have fun staring at food in Aldi. 😅😁
I have been so busy lately that I saved all your five videos and watched it one shot over the weekends. I may be late but never missed.
Ahh love it! I always love seeing your comments pop up!💗
I just started back shopping at aldis and compared to other stores I get so much more for much less !!! Love aldis and you videos 🤍🤍🤍
We didn’t have Aldi in Colorado but now that we moved to Michigan we can go. After this video it made me really want to check out the products and prices. Way cheaper in a lot of products! Thanks for your motivation!
I completely agree with you about storing produce in mason jars. They do keep the produce longer and save space. Love your videos! 😊
Aldi is a German store. Shopped the German ones when I lived there, then got back to the states and was so excited they were here! I had not lived in any states that had one before now.
I have never lived where there was an Aldi!! I love Trader Joe's!!! I don't even have one of those around me either!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Hi Amanda❤I always enjoy your videos when you do your food prep and shopping. I have taken some of your ideas and implemented into my household and is very proud to say that i enjoy it and it works.❤❤❤❤
I’m so glad you’ve found some tips that work for you!!
I love Aldi's! It's very convenient to find what I need there.
We love Aldi's. So many good things.
I've never shopped at Aldi's!! Need to check it out! Thanks for the walk through!!
Predictive text is a pain. Obvs don't put a kid in fridge, much better to use a lid!
lol!! Omgsh your reply has me giggling! Gotta love the predictive texts 😂 it keeps us on our toes!
Good video. I didn't think the home made dawn power wash worked the same. I also keep regular Dawn and use it on bigger item's love Aldis.
Oat milk is so good in all sorts of stuff! Delicious and nutritious and no tummy worries.
So yummy!
Having some oat milk in my tea now😅. I love it.
My Aldi has great produce. I have a system now to clean and store them in my refrigerator. Thanks for new ideas!
I’ve never been to Aldi, but now I’m really going to have to check it out. It’s just down the road from the grocery store I normally go to. Looks like good prices 😊
I only use those cutting boards, for years, got rid of all others, absolutely love them..
I just started doing some shopping at Aldi’s. They just recently opened one in the township next to ours. We have a store called Marc’s which a lot of the time has better prices then even Aldi’s.
I’m looking forward to fresh veggies at ALDIs. We love so many things there.
Thanks!!
I actually just made the homemade version (11 oz water, 2 oz Dawn, 3 oz alcohol) this weekend. I think it works well so far, cuts through the grease, I haven’t used it with any baked on yuckiness yet. Now my warning, the rubbing alcohol particles stay airborne momentarily.
we have been doing keto for 9-10 months and we love it! we've lost so much weight and gained so much energy, it's insane. i don't think we'll ever go back to the high carb lifestyle we were on before. i also love shopping at aldi. we go there weekly for our produce and meats, sticking only to the outside aisles. we then do like a monthly shopping trip at bj's and/or food lion for anything aldi doesn't carry or that we need in bulk.
my tips for making your produce last longer: (my produce typically lasts 1.5-2 weeks)
fruits should be able to breath. most fruit lets off ethylene gas which, if stored in a sealed container, will make things spoil faster. i make sure all my fruit is stored in containers that have little vents, and that they go in the fruit drawer in the fridge because that will also have a vent.
Amanda, you should invest in the plastic lids for mason jars, they are so nice, clean, and easy, and they will never rust.
Yes! I have them for the regular mouth jars, but just ordered some for my wide mouth ones
Amanda I work Full time and have 11 month twins ,You have been such help for me . Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Omgsh how cute! Happy early birthday to them. :)
😊😊 Aldi does tend to have some great prices and it kind of makes you try the different not so typical food items that they have .
Oh wow! That’s neat! I’ll have to try that too!
Been thinking about shopping for my groceries at Aldi because it seems like I can get more for less so loved that you posted this video!
I have been making my own Dawn Powerwash for a while now and I believe it works just as well. You’ll be glad you did it.
I love the prices at Aldi. I love your videos when you share your recipes.
Thanks for the video. I have an Aldi nearby and have never been in it. I have been to Lidl and recommend it. BTW, Aldi and Lidl are owned by 2 German brothers, but are now separate companies.. Trader Joe's was recently bought by Aldi.
Actually not trying to be rude but that is an urban myth that they were owned by brothers.
I love the towels. Have started to collect. I love Aldi. Thanks for the video.
Love Aldi. Especially their cheese selection
You can put a small ziploc or reusable bag over the macon jar with your herbs or green onions.
Hi Amanda I use the Dawn power wash also and I luv luv that stuff .
I call that ile the Fun stuff too, lol.
Have a Blessed Night .
Thanks for sharing your walking through and your grocery good luck to you with keto diets you look great like always 👍
Thanks so much!! Happy you enjoyed the shop with me 💗
Hi Amanda, Kyle and family!
I absolutely love going to Aldis. But it is an hour from where I live. But when we do make the trip, it's so worth it!
Hey Amanda
Loved watching your video tonight I just wanted to message you and tell you while I was watching.
I wasn't sure about Aldi but now I've got to go check it out. I trust you and Kyle so much. I just adore you two and this channel.😊
Ahh thank you!! And yes! You’ll love it! The prices are amazing… just bring a quarter and your own bags 😉
love your positive attitude and good low carb ideas
Yes I have been making mine slot and its so inexpensive and it works great b the beautiful part is you can add a little more of the dawn dish soap and alcohol. I find I use more of the soap and its fine. I think its better than what you buy I highly recommend
Love that!!
Love Aldi so much! Love watching this.
I make my own dawn powerwash 🙊 it works really well. Go a tiny bit heavier on the soap that the recipe calls for and it's perfect!
Excellent recipes and ideas, thanks Amanda ❤
Never heard of Aldi before. I don’t think there is one in my area at all. I plan to visit a friend in Iowa soon and I will ask her to take me. Thanks for sharing ❤
Pro tip: the 99 cent bags at the TJ Maxx checkout lanes are huge and perfect for shopping at Aldi. Not to mention, they’re super cute. 🩷 Also, Aldi’s restock day is Wednesday so that’s the best time to shop. The new stuff will be in the aisle of shame and meat & produce will be fresh.
Oh yesss! I was just thinking about those bags when I was there with my mom in Montana! Great idea!
Thank you!!
Your fridge looks so organized and beautifully displayed. The chicken salad looked delicious Amanda. 😊
Aww thank you 💕 and yesss! You have to try it!!
Omgsh, so sweet. I bet that video would be a huge throwback!! Three kids and grocery shopping is a lot! I totally understand!!
Can't wait to try that Green Sauce! I have those disolvable labels. I love them.
I love Aldi! They have great options for different diets :)And I get dawn power wash when it’s on sale at Costco or Sam’s club if I can. It’s $8 for a spray and 2 refills :) haven’t tried making it yet
Yesss! Always the best deal to snag!
Love when you food prep and I agree it makes life so much easier.
I’m with Kyle when it comes to eating meat off the bone, I hate that too
Great video 👍🏼😊
