    🌶️ Why Freeze Bell Peppers?
    Long shelf life: Enjoy them out-of-season.
    Quick meal prep: Pre-sliced peppers are perfect for stir-fries, fajitas, and more.
    Retains nutrients: Freezing preserves most of their vitamins and minerals.
    Steps to Perfectly Freeze Bell Peppers:
    Wash and dry: Ensure they're clean and free from any debris.
    Slice or dice: Depending on your preference.
    Flash freeze: Lay them flat on a tray and place in the freezer for a few hours.
    Store: Transfer to freezer bags or containers, removing as much air as possible.
    Remember, the key to freezing bell peppers is ensuring they're dry and stored in airtight containers. This way, they retain their flavor, texture, and nutritional value. For more in-depth guidance, watch the video till the end!

      Hidy Shannon! Well thank you Ma'am! We will get started back as soon as we get some rain. We are so hot here in Texas...no rain for over a month and 100 degree temps have made my soil so very hard and dry. We appreciate you so much. Thank you for watching gal!

    Thank you! It seems I never have bell peppers when I need them or want them. Bought 3 dozen of them tonight, and going to vacuum seal them, just as you did!

    Hi, Jilly: Enjoyed your video. I also freeze my cut up bells before vacuum sealing. We enjoy them all year. Your video had clear instructions that are easy to follow. Just subscribed, and I am looking forward to watching you garden and preserve the best food in the world - the food you grow yourself. Greetings from Central Texas!

    Great
    Can I use the same idea for all vegetables, fruits,
    And diary product

    • @ntxg
      @ntxg  4 года назад

      Hidy MB, you sure can for your veggies. I know you can freeze milk, butter and cheese with no problems. For Milk remove some from the plastic jug, about an inch as it will expand. When wanting to use it, let it thaw in refrigerator , no on the counter. It will separate during freezing but all you have to do is shake it up when it thaws. Thank you for watching, Jill!

    What is the reason for the flash freezing? And can you use regular freezer bags if you dont have a vacuum sealer?

    • @ntxg
      @ntxg  4 года назад +6

      Hidy Lauren...yes you can use freezer bags...squish all the air out gal. Flash freezing keeps it from becoming mushy and stuck together, it also keeps the flavor and nutrients!

      If you don't have a vacuum sealer just get a straw and seal your bag and leave enough opening to put the straw in and suck out the air. It works.👍

    New kid has a question
    Wash clean, cut to desired size.
    Then freeze for how long before vaccum sealing.
    Is this the correct method??

    • @ntxg
      @ntxg  Год назад +2

      Hi John, flash raise for about 15 minutes until they are frozen enough that they will not stick together once you put them in a bag. Thank you so much for watching.

    I would expect them to come out fresh the day I bought them. However, they come out of my vacuum bags kinda soggy. Any ideas as to why?

    • @theirishcailin333
      @theirishcailin333 2 года назад +1

      They'll never come out like fresh after freezing unfortunately.

      You cut them and make hot water with sugar on it you drown them in this water for half a minute and them get them out of that water when there is no water in them you stor them they came out very fresh , otherwise they are soggy

    Why is it important to take out the membrane and seeds?

    • @ntxg

      Hi Sage. Most folks Don’t want seeds in sauces and such. Membrane tends to make more mushy
