This couple are the best thing on RUclips.....they are a great match for one another, their renovation is going along nicely but there are plenty of laughs along the way......If you're not followers of this couple you don't know what you are missing ......Get following!!!
Amazing job on the plastering Clare, looks great around that window and makes such a difference once the plaster goes on. No one deserves more than you two a good bit off time off out on the boat! Fingers crossed you got to do that . En-suites are coming along wonderfully and a huge high five for no leaks! That in itself is impressive! 😮 Love those shower fittings. It’s gonna look so good when you’re done. ❤ How cool are those purple rain potatoes!? Beautiful colour! The frittata 😮 that looked soooo good 😋
Thanks guys, we havd just had three full days on the boat and we are exhausted but refreshed thankfully. Ensuites are pain in the beep - we will never get rid of the children 🙄🤣
I'll DIY almost anything but if there's the slightest chance I can afford it I'll hire out plumbing in a heartbeat! Floor sanding is another job I'd prefer not to do again. With a small drum sander it's doable but takes quite a long time and many passes for a good finish, with a professional sander you get an excellent finish with fairly few passes but the weight of the machine will kill your back, not just carrying it but keeping it going the whole time, it wants to escape from you with amazing force.
Well it was part of the challenge which we both accepted - to try to do absolutely everything ourselves! Now no we didn't make the windows and being honest Rob would have liked to give it a go, but time was also a big pressure for the grant.
God Rob, (or should I say nice to see you Bruce) - you left enough of a challenge for Clare to tape, but of course our girl was up to it. Well done on the plumbing (and the fritatatata.). P.s. thanks for the link to the paint sprayer. Bought it today. Fingers crossed I can figure it out as I have my whole house to paint.
Ah its a different 'generation' (did you see what I did there) Brucie a legend in his own lifetime. Doing a fab job, good to see Eire seeing some hot weather meanwhile its bucketing down here in NZ
Thank you so much for sharing, and simply keeping it real may you have the best with all that you need to do with the projects that you have. May God show you great favor.😊
Loving the Vlogs and both your personalities but would ask as DIY renovators ourselves that you take a bit more time and care with final fixings as its becoming a bit of a messy renovation. Great start now so would love to see some finishing and yes I know its all very hard work so I do understand :-) Keep up the focus on renovation and outside landscape!
Thanks for the tips! We are focusing on what is necessary to complete for the grant. Plumbing and electrics and items which we will submit receipts for need to be complete but not necessarily cosmetically complete. I hope this makes sense. If it were not for the timeline we would take more time to finish each room properly 😊
Kids showers are not massive, both 90x90cm. The bathrooms have worked out bigger than we thought, but I think the angle of the camera does make them look small.😊
Funny you say that as I believed that was the way it had to be done when I first started but now it is commonly to mud and tape the edges and corners only, so that's where I'm at 😊
For now the walls will remain white and the kitchen doors have yet to be decided. Rob will make them from Birch plywood, but we may decide to darken them as the wood is very light coloured 😊
You know what they were really only a problem at the start of the growing season. I guess as the weather improves and dries up they become less of a problem and also as the plants get older 😊

How much are they paying you ? 😂😂
Couldn't agree more! 😉 Thank you for your lovely message 😊

Just watching this couple and it was so common for hundreds of years that families worked together, so good to see it now
This is true, thanks Pauline ☺️
Clare you’re a miracle worker with plaster & tape. How on earth did you end up with such sharp edges from such big gaps in plasterboard?✌️💚

Can’t believe you’re actually plastering Clare. Respect 🙌 You really are a West Cork WONDER! ❤

I think your remarks about Clare compromising are funny - I mean she must have a sense of humour Rob if she married you!🤣🤣🤣
This is true 🤣
Thank you so much for sharing, and simply keeping it real may you have the best with all that you need to do with the projects that you have. May God show you great favor.😊

😊😊 doing well.
Thank you 😊
Try plumbers tape
Is it the camera angles or are the kids’ showers miniature? 😂
Kids showers are not massive, both 90x90cm. The bathrooms have worked out bigger than we thought, but I think the angle of the camera does make them look small.😊
Funny.....something I would say!😂
😊
Oh well, he’s a good cook.
That he is, which is a massive plus😊
He may be cheeky nut he a good cook so keep him around for a bit longer Clairr 😂😂😂😂 videos wouldn't be the same with out a cracking view 😂😂🎉
Oh gosh fof the cooking alone he's a keeper 😉
Great job guys. Very inspiring 👏. Stupid question claire, are you not plastering the whole wall?! Lol
Funny you say that as I believed that was the way it had to be done when I first started but now it is commonly to mud and tape the edges and corners only, so that's where I'm at 😊
@WestCorkWander Good to know Claire. Keep up the great work guys.💪
Clair what are the color plans for the kitchen and living room ,I’m excited to see the doors go on in the kitchen ,amazing channel love the cooking
For now the walls will remain white and the kitchen doors have yet to be decided. Rob will make them from Birch plywood, but we may decide to darken them as the wood is very light coloured 😊
great video ,amazing progress well done to both of you ,hows the snails problem any better ,?? did u ask abt sheeps wool ,which they dont like xx
You know what they were really only a problem at the start of the growing season. I guess as the weather improves and dries up they become less of a problem and also as the plants get older 😊
Was that your son who scooted by? He looks so tall! (Compared to the first few videos)
Sure was... He has totally thrived this last year, shot up! Country life suits him!
Where did you get silicone protectors for induction hob? I Need badly!!!
The one and only Amazon😊
Could you spray foam those gaps around the windows before you plaster?
Yes, I think Rob did end up filling the gaps with spray foam 😊
Purple spuds great for healthy gut bacteria just like blueberries. Go look at research.....Bristol bowel chart. Follow the science😂
We have never had these before, definitely one to try again next year 🙂
🤣😂😁
Clare you’re a miracle worker with plaster & tape. How on earth did you end up with such sharp edges from such big gaps in plasterboard?✌️💚
Not really Trish, but thanks. Let me tell you there was rather alot of corner tape used 🤣
