- Here's a quick vocal demonstration and comparison of the false chord growl and guttural.
The main difference is the amount of overtones - gutturals have a much richer sound and a wider frequency spectrum. Another difference is the pronounciation - gutturals are way less clearer than low growls but they sound way more brutal.
Usually it's much easier to master the gutturals once you learn how to produce a "regular" growl.

it sounds closer to the false chord but Glen Benton has a lot of his natural voice in this album. He is also using his arytenoid cartilages a lot, especially for highs.
His highs, sadly, don't sound too good during the live shows. They are more like a death metal version of AC DC. Check out their live dvd from London in 2004 and you will get what I mean.
Streisand sings to and from the soul. She touches everyone who has ever fallen in love, the pain, the joy, ageless and timelessness. A class of her own, no one compares. So deserving, as she has touched so many lives. Love you Barbara❤.

so with this tech you need to pull back your mandible?
The more you lower your jaw (for instance, to achieve a darker sound color), the more it will move backward, automatically.

vishurddha.bandcamp.com/track/sentenced-to-extinction

Tutorial on drive vocal?
And what is that? Singing with distortion or something else?
@@sibilaextremevocal pure vocals with an admixture of splitting
I still don't understand, sorry
Is this considered a skill or is it just something you resort to when you can’t make it in any other form of singing? I’m guessing the latter…
Just to avoid confusion - do you ask if death metal vocals are something that people do when they can't sing or you refer to using growl when you can't perform guttural and the opposite?
