I was trying to figure out how how I was gonna scale back down the tracks because they are akward to climb. While I was doing that the guy came out to let his dog out to pee, it was like a husky or something and he made his way to the back of the fence where I was. I was on the other side by some bushes and at some point the dog started barking at me. I immediately started panicking and accepted that I might go to jail. I figured I would just tell the guy the truth and apologize or the fence and make a run for it. I ended up waiting it out. The guy never came back to look and called the dog back in. At this point I was extremely dehydrated and didn't have any water. My car was at least a 4 mile hike and a beach elevator climb down away. Up on the cliff I could see a bonfire about a mile or so up the beach. I decided to check it out to see if anyone had any water. I didn't have trouble getting back down you just have to go slow, but once I made it back down the beach there are like dozens of skunks roaming around the beach at night. I'm not even joking. I make it to the bonfire, which apparently happens every full moon or something, there's a bunch of hippies and college students scattered around in sleeping bags in tents. It's like 2 in the morning and there's one hairy ass naked dude dancing around the fire with some other people. I was able to ask for some water, but was too exhausted to make the canyon hike back to my car so I just slept on the beach and hiked back in the morning. Don't do drugs kids. The end.

It is supposedly technically the property of the house at the top of the cliff at the other end of the funicular. If you've seen that house, it's hard to imagine they don't have the funds to refurbish this house. They definitely have the funds to have it demolished if they have no plans for it.
