Just for anyone not yet aware: the cloak is no longer account wide.
The achievement bonus is what your alts share and that is a max of 100% xp bonus and some flat stats (150 stamina and 100 main stat) at rank 12 for collecting 4200 threads.
Not 100% of what your main cloak has. Just 100% bonus xp.
And thats a fix cap. Anything else your char has do do individually. If you want to have 300% on all your alts to level (aka what they advertised), well you gotta push them all through raids from 100-300 yourself. individually.
disappointed? yes, we all are. make your voice heard or blizz wont do anything.

@@clairgrube1 4200 threads collected, the stats on your main cloak dont matter. just the number of threads/rank of the achievement "Infinite Power". You want rank 12 or XII for 100% baseline xp buff on alts. Might need to un- and re-equip the cloak for it to show.

It went from the full cloak shared to partial credit for Alts. It’s not that great IMO. Blizzard always finds a way to kill the fun. Why not just share the cloak stats between all characters?
Yea, ruined the entire event. Alt has 10% of my lvl 70 cloak. Actually pointless event because of the nerfs. Fucking blizzard hates fun
They also made it so the xp threads basically stop dropping after 65 according to an interview with Soul and I've noticed that it definitely seems that way.
@@inevitable48 What 10%, that kills the entire point of remix, which was to make the cloak strong and then level up fast new characters. So if I make my cloak reach 360% it will just be 36% on an alt hahaha that's bullshit.
@sheshoec it's not 10%. It's based on achievements, specifically how many threads you've collected. At the highest achievement I could find, which is 4200 threads, the xp bonus for alts is 100% bonus xp

Someone freaking @ me with a TLDR. I'm not watching a 9 minute video with no information 2 minutes in. I'm trying to figure out how to do something fast and his video takes longer than levelling to 70, holy hell.
Questing til 60, after than boost the cloak with normal raids then questing, since every raid is on a daily lockout, and it drops a lot of xp gain
he didnt say what you should actually do. Hes just spat a video out as soon as possible. As soon as you hit 25 you can do normal raids and each boss gives your cape +12% xp buff. do mogu shan and dread. Its scaled so you do a lot of dmg at 25 so should be fine to get a party if u know strats
I haven't played retail since... After the first phase of BfA I believe? Wen Classic launched I had no desire to play retail anymore, but this MoP Remix is a lot of fun. Don't feel like rushing, just like to discover the old expansion again. Having a blast so far!
Playing Shaman in the remix for the first time. Looks like you have been playing one. Could you make a quick guide for us newbies to Shaman in remix. I have found a few guides but most seem out dated. Thanks for the video. I'm used to Rogue, Hunter and Warlock as my mains.
lightning bolt when there’s one enemy and chain lightning when there’s more than one enemy. earth shock or earthquake whenever your maelstrom is high. take all the gems that do fire damage or the lightning rod and slay is for everyone
The rotation for end game shaman is completely different from when you’re leveling. It also depends on what spec you’re playing.
I suggest leveling without guides, read the abilities and make the judgements to what you feel would be best to use during leveling. If you’re still confused on the rotation, look up a guide on Wowhead, the same meta builds on retail probably work the same as now

Just hit 70 and the scaling is fucked. The grind for bronze is to much. Your gonna have to put 300+ efficient hours in just to get the mounts. I ended up with around 45k bronze doing quests to 70. You need 400-700k for the mounts. The cloak isnt account wide like was advertised. They dropped the ball. Typical blizzard killing fun.
Lots of hype turned out to not be true at launch. Leveling isn’t that fast really. Looks to be another grind. Alt leveling is still questionable at best. I’ll still play for the mounts I missed back in the day and the transmog but doubt I’ll do multiple alts unless it turns out to be MUCH easier/faster.
It is grind, I have lvl 33 in 8 hours of play.
Leveling to 30 was actually slow compared to standard retail 1-30. Content creators are selling players B.S it really isn't that great. Overhyped.

@@andrewshandle it isn't new though. And it isn't about the new mode. The entire reason people liked it because we were promised faster leveling for alts and that just isnt the case.

You transfer over 100% XP gain, and then alts can build on that and get it to it takes like 3 quests to level.

Im lvl 20 atm... havent seen a way to upgrade my cloak yet... am i missing something or does it come later on? Currently just questing in Jade forest.

Ever monster you loot and in every chest there is a chance for a strand to drop. They give you the upgraded stats.
It upgrades automatically after you do the quests. If you haven't done them, look in your quest log.
The upgrades does not show on the cloak itself, but on a buff on your character
Look in buff bar on top of screen hover over the icons one will be cloak, gives breakdown of stat increases at certain threshholds that power carries over to alts.

@@MarsziParszi it is. In retail it takes around 8 to 12 hours to get to 70. And if you do a speed run, some people have gotten from 1 to 70 in 4 hours. In Remix, it takes 24 hours of playtime at least. And then alts only cap at 100% xp boost which is basically how heirloom gear used to work before they nerfed heirloom gear into the ground. It just isn't good. Do it once and that is all.

So yes for now at the beginning retail will be quicker. But after you level 1 character to max in remix the rest will skyrocket with extra xp and power ittl be about 5 to 6 hours. Could even hypothetically get it in 3 or 4 hours.

Too much grinding if your trying to collect mounts, transmog, tier sets, etc
i made 3x lvl 70 in 1 day with raids raids and more raids ONLY
I know raids arnt everyones cup of tea but it is a shame they went so heavy on the exp nerfs for leveling in raids. Would have been a different way to level up at least. And from the sounds of it its not even much faster to level alts anyway. They had to nerf it it to keep buying level up boosts an option of course
My only ask: Unlock all the allied races for the event. It is a limited time and they are unlocked in WoWWW anyways. It was my main motivation for trying it out but they are still locked if you didn't play BFA.
They made getting them rly easy tho ?
I unlocked them all before the event. Each took 30 to 60 min while reading every scrap and watching every cinematic. Piece of cake if you are in a hurry on any lvl 70.

I found a spot where you get get full level in 7min avg, once I hit 60, it took 15min for one level (its aoe hyperspawn with druid guardian)

Dragonflight leveling is not any slower than pandaria remix. The most efficient thing is... farming frogs. Yay.

Honestly? This event had everything to be interesting, but Blizzard, as always, managed to ruin it. I'm just playing to get some transmogs and mounts, after that, I'm saying goodbye to this boring and tedious remix.
This event has made me lose so much respect for so many content creators. They are wrong and feed us Blizz BS so much. I have been no lifing the thing, but you just need to play a bit to see how wrong so much of this info is.

I don't like that they ruined all the rare mounts from this expansion by just giving them away. Give away re-colors, not the actual rare mounts. People spent years farming these.. Blizzard just wasted all their time.
To be fair, they wasted their time. There are a lot of ppl who farmed the mount unsuccesfully, so they wasted their time too but now they have a chance for it. You are talking sht cuz you were lucky enough to loot them
"people spent years farming these" is the worst type of defense. RNG is cancer and absolutely ridiculous rng is the worst. More even unfair than farming a mount for decades (me with Invincible) is that a friend went to ICC ONE TIME and got it. That type of mechanics are absurd and unfair, playing the game, farming a coin and getting an item, that's fair.
As one of those people that got some but not all of those mounts ( F* you Elegon and Alani) I disagree. I don’t want anyone to go through that horrendous RNG crap. If you can grind and get it for coins GOOD, do it please. Don’t grind the old way for it. All we do is check it off the list and go back to the FOTM mount anyway (that flaming owl). The only rare mount I still actually use a lot is A’lar, even though its model looks trash these days.
Getting up set because the item that dropped from a mob you one shot once a week is now available six years later via another means is peak WoW player whining.
