It is a beautiful pen, I love that shade of blue and that nib design is outstanding! But… I agree with you that those fractures should not be there for the price. I hope you get some resolution on that. Enjoy your pen tho! Tfs!!
Okay, okay... I have the very same feeling(s) as you when it comes to the purchases of my over-the-top Auroras (i.e. ridiculously pricey, "overpriced'), but am most satisfied to have added each to my collection... unless otherwise indicated, all Auroras of this price point and with the nib grade noted on the feed are ebonite... and inhouse made... as a matter of note, Auroras are pricey for this very reason. Every element of the pen is made inhouse... And don't get me started on the packaging... yes, I know we all buy these (any pen) for the "pen." But Aurora's first-buyer/brand new unboxing experience is second to none... All of my anxiously-awaited purchases of Auroras have just been fantastic to just "uncase" and awe at the level of attention to detail each pen is incredibly accompanied upon delivery. Sometimes I just take one off the shelf just to relive the wonder of opening it all over again. That box though!!!! Amazing. I think this as well as all that we minimally expect from an upmarket, luxury item ( of any category, clothing, shoes, cars, etc.) should have and be possessed of an X-factor that definitely departs and separates it from other such items and others of "lesser" price ranges in any given market... and we as first-buyers should be "spoiled" by not just a purchase's bottom line but all that surrounds the privilege of being able to have made such a purchase in the first place.... things such as "new-car-smell" or the large bright shopping tote from a luxury brand at any designer store that screams, I not only browsed but spent a small fortune in the store whose logo/name/characteristically recognizable color scheme is embossed/debossed on the bag's panels. This is Aurora. This is what we come to expect when making such purchases... And so... yes... let this incredible wonder of such uniqueness have its way with you. Lovely pen... great review. Always love and appreciate you gut/blood-raw honesty. Please, stay safe.
Thanks for sharing your experience. It helps me feel better about the purchase. I’m going to get every cent I can out of this pen!! Thanks for watching
Hi, Kendall. I haven’t talked about the notebook. I bought it to use with the printable Yoseka nib log. It is real leather but a little on the thin side. I like it so far. I has two dividers and plastic card holders as well. It is from Amazon: TSBIAOYE A6 Refillable Leather Notebook.
Aurora Demonstrator 888-N I bought 2 of this pen. The material workmanship is really bad. It is a big disappointment for me because I paid good money, it does not deserve this money.
It’s a shame because they are really expensive. It sounds like Aurora wouldn’t help me if I needed service. Atlas Stationers put me in contact with Kenroe Industries which facilitated the repair on my piston. Maybe they can help you.
Hi. That is shameful especially for such an expensive pen. Aurora has been around long enough to do better. I still love the pen but I am very careful with it.
I love your attitude, "grateful to be able to waste $671.00 on a fountain pen." However, for the price I'm bummed you didn't have a better experience.
Hi. I’m going to try to make the best of it. Thanks for watching
It’s a limited edition, so that ups the price. Aurora pens are pretty great, I really enjoy mine. I can also recommend Santini pens. They’re awesome.
Hi. I really want a Santini but have been holding off. You have excellent tastes in pens!!

Hey, Mama. I’m eventually going to send that cap back. I was writing with it earlier and those internal lines were all I could see.

I like your presentations 👍🌸
Beautiful pen
Thanks, Marilyn. I appreciate it
I'm curious about the ringed notebook, have you made a video review of it? Looks like it might be real leather which gets my attention :)

you’re very brave to use a shimmer ink in such a pricey pen.
Hi. I think that’s why the piston failed on me. I’m using non-shimmer inks now.
I bought three of these fountain pens and they all cracked. There is a problem with the resin of the pen. But I don't care about the factory.
