What a fun trip! I can’t believe Jim did all the walking and lighthouse stairs with a sprained ankle! Thanks for taking us with you. It was very fun to see all the sights. ❤
I thought for sure we'd have to cancel the trip because of his ankle, but he insisted it would "be fine"! Well, he was a trooper and hobbled around all over place while it hurt and swelled. (insert exasperated eye roll here). If I knew it was that bad still I would have insisted we stayed home. Good news is that we had a great time and it is feeling better every day!

So many awesome restaurants in St. Augustine! We enjoy River and fort across from the fort. Another awesome restaurant is caps on the water. If you're ever back, please stop at bin 39, to enjoy a glass of wine and listen to some wonderful music, the staff there are awesome won't disappoint.

My husband and I were there for a week in January. So many things to see. On your next trip you need to go to the Flagler Museum. It was one of my favorite places. They have artwork, antiques and collectibles, art glass collections including Tiffany stained glass and a Tiffany Dragonfly lamp that is gorgeous. And many other beautiful things to look at. I loved seeing your video!

What a fun trip! I headed to Jacksonville from Charleston late last week for a quick IKEA trip, and I was among the bikes heading down to Daytona!🤣
I laughed at your reaction to Bucee’s! Mine was similar. When I explain it to people I usually say “imagine the Cracker Barrel store and 7-11 had a baby)…🤣🤣🤣🤣

BUCEES! I love that place. The one in New Braunfels TX is enormous. It's kitschy but lots of fun. Tell Jim their handmade (or was it homemade?) fudge is to die for!

Such a great little getaway! I'm going to sound crazy but I hoped you checked out the bathroom at Buckey's, cleanest bathrooms ever!! You have to go to Buckey's at least once. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Jennifer ,St. Augustine is awesome! You have to go multiple times to appreciate it and find 'niches'... I say this b/c my family has a beach home down there and we go yearly and have for prob the last 10 years.. night life downtown is awesome! I've actually never eaten at Salt Lyfe but there are a TON of other good places to eat there. We love it. ☺

We love quick little trips like this! We are moving to St. Augustine/St. John’s (suburbs area) when my husband retires soon. There’s another Buckey’s in West Augustine near world golf village. We went for the first time last year - it was pretty cool!

Welcome to the Buc-ee’s party!! We have one here in so. Alabama and love it. Whenever we take a road trip, we stop. It’s so entertaining, great bathrooms and terrific food to take. At. Aug looks beautiful. Nd as for the wether, I learned quickly when I moved to Mobile, that gulf coast wether changes on a dime😂😂

My hubby and I are heading from Hilton Head Island to Miami Beach tomorrow, we will make a stop at Buc-cees, I have heard great things about it. I bet they will have a dog park for our puppy.
There are so many awesome local restaurants and coffee shops…please support local. I’ve been a resident in St. Augustine for 35 years.
The Golf Hall of Fame is in St Augustine. My husband and I took a private tour so we got to see the museum’s curators offices with artifacts they were in the process of cataloging. It is a fun place to learn about golf!
I haven't been to that area in so many years. Thank for for sharing the fun. Lol, I had to back up the video so my hubby could get a glimpse of your Tesla. Ours is a blue model Y.
It's a nice area with it's very own history and vibe, for sure! We were just in the Tesla showroom last week test driving the new Model X and I sat in the Y there. Very nice! I can imagine replacing my Range Rover with a Y or and X sometime.
Fun! I was in Dallas last week and we stopped at Buc-Ees .. I had the best brisket ever! They are supper nice there. I asked for it sliced no bread no sauce amazing.. must have the beaver chips!

You beat me to Bucees! We love St. Augustine and have somehow never been. Next time. Not sure if you’ve been up to Amelia Island but we have friends there and it’s also a quaint little town - perfect for a weekend getaway. I haven’t been to cocoa beach yet either. On the list. Never a dull weekend here. Always great to tag along with your travels! ❤
Bucee's is an adventure, that's for sure! We've been told that their brisket sandwiches and burritos are worth the stop, alone! Next time we'll have to go there hungry so we can try them. We've not been to Amelia Island, but it is on the list!! We have so many places to check out and need to get to your area too! ♥️
If you go back eat at the Ice Plant Bar it’s delicious. They are next to a distillery the port bourbon is good, says my hubby. Also must check Saint Sebastian Winery.

Looks like a fun getaway! I love weekend trips! Have you ever stayed at The Breakers at Palm Beach? It’s a must! We stayed there last September for 7 days and loved it. It’s a plane trip for us, but very worth it. Since you’re close, you might want to check it out! You would love Worth Avenue and Royal Ponciana for shopping!
Palm Beach is definitely on our list of places to go and I thank you for the recommendations! Sounds lovely!

Our son and family live in Palm Beach and we make frequent trips there from Pennsylvania. St Augustine is one of our stops along the way and we'll be visiting there in April! Would you recommend a hotel? We usually stay at the Marriott World Golf Resort. Also at the recommendation of our son we did the Buckees stop😊 What an experience!
That's wonderful! We stayed at the (Marriott) Renaissance St. Augustine Historic Downtown. It was very nice and in a great location. Bucee's is definitely an experience!
If you like boats check out the Schooner Freedom, lots of fun, I’ve done it a few times with my family.

Where did you stay in St. Augustine, and where did you have dinner? We have gone there several times-we live on the gulf side of Florida.
We stayed at the Renaissance St. Augustine Historic Downtown Hotel. It was very nice and was in a great location. We had such a late lunch at Salt Life that neither of us was hungry for dinner...so we just had a snack while walking around the historic downtown area and called it "dinner". They have a Columbia Restaurant there (it's one of my faves here) but no one had the appetite for that at the time.

It's the Jackie sweater from Avara. I don't believe it's available anymore, though.
