If you let the motor get to temp to open the thermostat before you turn on the heat you'll save an enormous amount of time, because the heater core is cooling the coolant down while you're waiting for it to heat up. Also, when replacing coolant, its best to flush the system first with the motor hot to remove residues and deposits. I know, everyone's a critic. 😂 Seriously though thanks for taking the time to help people. 👍

Very useful video! Thanks for sharing it! But, I think you forgot to empty the coolant inside the engine! Did you measure how much coolant you put into it after flushing the old coolant?

Thanks. I am sure its bleeds out when I drained from bottom. I add 2.5 big jugs and 3 concentrated bottle each is 500 ml bcoz where I live temps goes down to -45 and after adding I test it for temperature its good for -55 and above lol

Oh man, it’s brutal to take the coolant hose out. Took me more than an hour to just pull it out.

It is. But it’s simple you need to pull the hose pin which stay on it all the time and when you put it back just slide it down I have two Q7 when I did the other one it was easy.

By any chance did you see the old coolant color? Mine looks to be brown but that could be because its dark in the expansion tank even though i shined a light on it, Our supercharged Q7 (2015) literally just hit 16k miles so nothing can be wrong right? I would hope.

Also, you didn't truly "flush" the system - most coolant jobs involve putting in a "flushing liquid" and letting the engine run; then drain the "flushing liquid" and then pour in the coolant. Also, it is very bad that there is no normal "drain plug." Any time you are dealing with removing hoses, that is dangerous and can cause damage. Do these radiators not have drain plugs?
