@@Mortimer107 This much, I can guess why. The AI is programmed to always go after the player in first position, no matter what the optimal decision would be. However, it was also programmed with the ability to understand that Dan had a boo repellant, so it knew that it had to remove Dan's repellant first with a coin steal, with the expectation that this would allow a star steal next time.

@@lucasmills9959 I think TOTK messed up their uploading schedule. I agree they probably had better options to efficiently space out all the stuff theyre playing, but hopefully now that that's over we'll be back to something semi regular
For the _first_ time (not counting times were they played on teams) in this channel's entire decade long history since he joined it, Dan has finally, _finally_ won a Mario Party. It only took playing nearly every one of them to get here but still XD

Why didn't the hard AI decided not to steal a star from Arin instead of wasting 5 coins on Dan is a complete mystery to me
Because the AI is programmed to target the first player at all times, but also programmed to recognize that if the first player has a boo repellent, to steal coins to get rid of that repellent so the next steal goes through.
Like the other person said, the AI (of every difficulty) defaults to stealing from the person in 1st place

Arin having enough money to steal 3 stars, then realizing he can use the reverse mushroom on himself RIGHT NEXT TO THE BOO, to be able to steal 2 stars in 2 turns, and then not following through on that is the funniest shit of this entire series.

I think Dan and Arin would really enjoy MP3's Duel Mode! it's basically a 1v1, so it's perfect for a GG Versus (not to mention there's nothing like it on any other Mario Party)

Arin and Dan struggling to grab the cherries from Woody somehow boned Arin even more than when he was given three skeleton keys.
Each of the three bonus stars changed who was winning when it was awarded. The last one just changed it back to Dan.

I really hope they play the 1v1 mode as well (it's called "Duel Map" and Aaron was hovering on at the end). It has pet battles and is the ONLY mario party with this mode. Chances are that they won't play it though...
Also, they could play story mode if they want, there is some plot behind it but they would have to play through every map in the game and I don't think they would want to do that (but who knows).

I looked it up, turns out the controls are based on clockwise not handedness. So when you want to go left and to go right you push left. Except when you want to go left and go right you press right.
Clockwise bottom and top for the former and counterclockwise top and bottom for the latter.

I had to rewind it because I heard, "Oh the placenta.." and I was VERY confused.
The game knew something and threw all of it's mini games just to make the video 30 minutes. I've never seen mario party go this complicated with mini games the last five rounds
Once y'all finish mario party 1 if you want some fun ideas for future mario party playthroughs there's always last place wins rules, where you all get a starting star, you always have to be going towards the current stars on the map, must always say yes if you have the money for star etc etc, maybe dan would win that one
