      To be fair snl didn't have as much of a political agenda in those days. Entertainment and news media in the 90s wasn't as biased as it is now days. Pretty sad really... I'll agree with you though politicians can't take a joke now days.

      rideordie If you did not understand what the comment was about, then it is your problem. Partisanship is a natural instinct of every human being because it resembles tribalism. But, New Gingrich is a nasty piece of conservative shit who based EVERY and I mean EVERY piece of policy on partisanship. Nothing he did was based on how good it is for the country, EVERYTHING he did was based on partisanship.
      If you care, read about how Washington became dysfunctional after Newt Gingrich era and never recovered from what this nasty little man did to the atmosphere of politics in Washington.

      Exactly. I've been saying this for a while now. I have work colleagues that would come in and be all pissed off when any comedian would say any jokes about Trump. I'd look at them and say "When have comedians not made fun of politicians?"

    This takes me back to high school and day dreams of being Mrs Farley. Seeing his energy and hearing that amazingly innocent and joyful laugh ... ugh, my heart breaks all over again. Keep your rock stars, Hollywood heartthrobs, and athletic icons -- I claim Chris Farley as my one and only silly, doodle-on-my-notebook, teenage crush. Saturday nights have never been the same.
