- Harmen 424 Sport, you will be greatly missed by all who loved you. Thank you for all you have given to the KFPS Friesian Horse. You will always be with us in our dreams and thoughts and through your offspring. Much too soon you were lost and your Friesian Family will surround your loved ones in their sadness of your loss.

I know he passed 3 years ago but god only gave him to us as a loan and needed his king of the horses to come home as it was time to get his wings . Fly high great stallion run wild and free galloping through the pastures of paradise. Rip Harmen you will nevrr be forgotten and your name will live on .

Beautiful tribute and memorial. I feel for those who knew this horse and loved her dearly. My tears fall for all of you. But I do not know how this horse died, but I do know this horse is in greener pastures and feels no more pain.

Funny, isn't it, that a creature such as a horse sets a standard for humans that few of us could ever achieve.
I have decided that at my age, I shall return to riding as soon as I can. I think Dressage is a good choice. I have been thinking of what type of horse to purchase, I am seriously entertaining the idea of a Friesian. Love the moment and action. They are just beautiful.

Harmen is Gorgeous. Spectacular. I cant imagine that it would be the case here with Harmen but through youtube I learned about the shockingly horrible practice of horse soring whereby the legs of horses are sored to make them lift their legs like that and that it is sheer torture. Every leg lift is because of great pain.
It can be looked up on youtube. Maybe they dont do it with Freisans, I dont know.
The horse soring videos were made by great caring horse people who are trying to bring the shockingly horrible practice of soring the horse's legs to get the horses to lift their legs like that to the public's attention in an attempt to bring an end to this horrible practice.
I would love to know how Harmen was trained and to know that it wasnt by horse soring, though I'm sure it couldnt have been in this case.
I hate to even go back and look up horse soring on youtube again because the horse leg soring videos upset me so very deeply.
When i first learned about leg soring on horses from youtube videos I was so shocked and horrified i couldnt fathom how people could torture the horses like that to make them prance like that.
How could anyone enjoy the magnificent performance skills of a horse knowing it was created by soring and agony.
Anyway, I would love to know how Harmen was trained because he looks like he was greatly loved and that soring torture couldnt have been done to him.
What a magnificent animal Harmen was.
Maybe Harmen met the horse greats Ruffian, Secretariat, and Man O' War in Heaven when he got on the other side, and maybe all these magnificent horses are all galloping together in their spectacular and magnificent beauty.

Friesians lift their legs like that naturally. No training necessary. Friesians are perfect in every way. It's hard to believe that they're even real, sometimes!

I did a search. Cannot find how or why he died. Eleven years old is not old for a horse. Arabians don't get any sense till 10.
There are many ways animal can die some are not pleasant I do not like to think about that

Thank you, i know... But for me this look like a arab friesian.... Look his face, ears... The real friesian are so different... This is the new type but i dont like it... They arent heavy and build as a tank as the old type
hahah yes I know what you mean. The ears particularly have been a quality which is sought after and bred for, more and more will have this. There are 3 classes of Friesians, heavy, medium and Sport. Created from selective breeding for Sport ability, Sport Friesians are even able to jump once their knees are closed and strong enough :D
