This is a natural gait and movement for a Friesian. I have a Sipke filly who was moving like this at 1.5 years old and, of course, no training! This is one of the beautiful things about Friesians, along with their amazing puppy dog like temperament. My older Friesian mare (Tsjerk x Thomas) would jump in my lap if she wasn't 16.2 hh! AMAZING personalities!

Sipke looks like a Baroque. You can see another of Cally's gorgeous boys called Wybren, who has the longer, lighter legs and body of the modern. And his very own heartbreaking beautiful movement.

People love Arabian horses, and with good reason -- all wind and fire, they barely touch the ground when they run. But these Friesians have a different elemental signature -- fire and earth. Look at the engagement between this beast's body and the ground. Mythical in a completely different, and equally breathtaking, manner.

I have loved this breed since the first time I saw a great big Stallion at the Los Angeles county fair in the '70's
