Wow, hes actually stunning. I thought it was silly build up. But horses are magnificent creatures. They seem so noble its like they created the idea of nobility. Good looking horse. ha.
Wow, he was so well behaved when the crowd clapped and laughed, especially being in a strange environment! The horse is stunning, love that you have very diverse segments and visitors to your show Stephen.
She is like any proud horse owner. There HAS been a vote and he HAS been voted not by her but by people. She clearly loves him and is very proud. He IS beautiful. If my horse was voted the most beautiful horse in the world, I would be as proud as her, and let's be honest, very few of us would decline the financial opportunities she gets. I have a Friesian too, to me the most beautiful horse as well. But I also have ruffled rescue horse Rosie and another mix no one knows what's in him, Hieronymus, and they're both also the most beautiful horses in the world. And I love all three of them.
You gotta check him out riding a dressage horse and doing piaffe. There was a part where the horse spooked ( Horse is not Frederick ;) and he didn’t fall off. He actually did really well. I was impressed. You can find it on RUclips. Just put in Stephen Colbert and dressage and it should come up.
No, no, not battle 'tactics'; those jumps are literally meant to kicks a person's head in. Tbh, I don't get why modern police forces don't choose war horses for their forces; bred for courage, trainability and stability in a fight. And with stability, I mean "won't panic and run everyone down". It's not like they don't have any number of races to choose from.
Aw, Stephen was such a good sport, even though you could tell he was a little bit scared of this giant horse. I don't blame him though, Frederick looked a little bit spooked on stage himself.
They should have told the crowd to not cheer and clap honestly, not only for the comfort of the horse, but for the safety of everyone involved. But he is very well behaved even with all the strange new sounds and environment.
Frederik is absolutely stunning, what an honour it would be just to simply look into his beautiful eyes, and give him a hug! I worked alongside and with horses for a while, and he,without a doubt is so handsome! How many hands is he and his old is he please?
In loving memory of Rooster Butterfly, world champion Five Gaited Pleasure Saddlebred. I was lucky to care for him in his retirement. Also a very handsome, well behaved stallion!
Ainsley Sucherman because friesians the most beautiful horse in the world and Frederic is a proven fabulous stallion. There are only a hundred approved Friesian Stallions in the entire world.
Shelley Hjellum But the thing is though that’s an opinion it’s just not a fact no one can say that any horse is the “most beautiful horse in the world” because that’s an opinion and will never be a fact like I can say my horse is the most beautiful horse in the world because again, that’s my opinion.
That's a horse. He's interviewing a horse. He's asking questions, written on a card, to a horse. Either the stuff I got yesterday is some really good sh** or Colbert just went all children's television on us. Had this been Craig Ferguson, he'd have insulted the horse before suggesting it had a cocaine problem before yelling "HEY, HE'S NOT A REAL F***ING HORSE" at the audience.
Sorry, I'm an idiot for failing to recognize he's clearly just promoting a horse. Had I realized there was a completely reasonable explanation, like promoting a horse on a late night talk show by asking it questions, I probably wouldn't have made such a catastrophic error in judgment. My apologies. I keep forgetting about the time Jay Leno asked a very Hugh Grant-looking horse what the hell he was thinking, or when Letterman was almost kicked in the face by a horse that was the spitting image of Crispin Glover. Happens all the time.
Wow!! He's absolutely gorgeous!! We had a Belgian for a few years and folks would ask us to come to events just to show him off. But "Thor" wasn't as good around large groups of people as he was around us & the kids. He'd get a lot more skittish than Fredrick here was in front of the audience!
zuckerkipferl I think Colbert was more scared than the horse! He looked a bit nervous bevause the stage is an unfamiliar place - lights, colours, people, etc. But it was just a bit of unfamiliarity. He's used to the crowds as a show horse. If he was really scared, you'd definitely know.
@@Kateyangyuqing you are so right...but he must trust his handler/owner and knew she would not put him in danger so he was OK but probably wanted to go home.
@@moomoo3031Yeah I defintely agree with you, he would have had a lot of trust in his handler/owner. It definitely doesn't look like he loved being there and Im sure he would definitely prefer being at home! Like us, though, sometimes we have to go out of our comfort zones and what we want in order to fulfil a purpose or a job. For him, being a show horse is his job and it earns him his lifestyle. He would be pretty used to crowds and excited atmospheres by now, and he may not always love being out there and would find something like this pretty daunting if it wasn't for his handler/owner, but that's part of the package and I'm sure he gets very spoiled in return! He didn't seem to be in any obvious major distress at least. Horses, unlike many other pets like most cats, rabbits, many dogs (pet dogs not working dogs), etc. are working animals which generally have a job to fulfil in order to earn their keep. If I was your employer and I gave you a safe and comfortable place to live, room service, delicious and healthy food that makes you feel your best, free home doctor visits as soon as you have any pain or physical problem, manicures, hairdressers, pampering, massage, physiotherapists, and a general VIP lifestyle where you could chill out with your mates or do what you want for 23 hours of the day - but had to work hard for 1 hour a day - and that work benefits you and keeps you fit, healthy, and feeling great, putting your health above my own - I'd be the best employer ever! That's the kind of life that a horse like him gets, and in return, he or she fulfills a job whether that be as a sport horse training dressage, showjumping, etc; a show hack; school horse; pleasure trail horse, etc. In exchange for the care we give them, they do a job for us, and it's not a big ask compared to what we humans have to do to survive ;D
Well he is really beautiful but when your riding instructor breeds Friesians this is like an everyday thing. Except hers didn't have lacquered hooves but she also didn't show. I'm not sure why he had to be in the studio though. He was clearly nervous. Mhm.
I was thinking something similar. He's a beautiful horse and I'm glad they had him on, but it doesn't seem like the studio was the right environment for him. They should've shot something before in a pasture...like Fredrick and Crisp Rat out on a picnic date.
Just for the record, they smell fear but that doesn't mean they attack. That usually means they don't trust you to be reliable and then they leave. You need a very agressive or abused horse to randomly attack a human.
I saw his face and now I'm a believer. Not a trace of doubt in my mind. I'm in love.
Steve27775 wants to bone a horse!
His words, not mine. 🐎👌👈❤
+Gabriel Rivera He's just a believer.
Thanks a lot. Now I have that stuck in my head.
Gonna go blast some Avenged Sevenfold till it's gone. ;)
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Shouldn't that be, 'Then I saw his face...'?

Over here in the Netherlands we have one of these on every streetcorner. They are like stray cat's.
*packs bags and moves to Netherlands*
send me one
I once crashed into one with my bike. In my defense, it was the dead of winter and I slipped on ice.
You don't have to defend yourself, it's hard to miss them...
are you serious? XD that's awesome
I like that you could tell Stephen wasn't terribly familiar with horses, but he still gave respect where he could.

What a majestic animal
Dude, the term 'War Horse' is just so fucking cool. WAR HORSE! I like it!
It's a good book too.
Spielberg made a movie called War horse... not too bad
omg i loved that movie
Speaking seriously, the Lippizans are a type of war horse, and the "dancing" moves they do are derived from battle tactics.
No, no, not battle 'tactics'; those jumps are literally meant to kicks a person's head in. I think Fredrick the .Great is the most FANTASTIC horse . I find inspiration heart lifting , l am 78yr old and he gives me a uplift
That is one remarkably beautiful horse.
Frederick is THE most beautiful horse I have ever since and his demeanor is so sweet..All hail Frederick the Great
How is this horses hair better than mine?!
Life isn't fair.
@@EricH928 I agree
Probably just the gene pool ♥️
Easy. You are a human. :D
You don't have a team of people looking after it!
I was at the Friesian horse center in Friesland....these aren't just beauties, they are gentle ans noble
That is a gorgeous horse.
Aw, Stephen was such a good sport, even though you could tell he was a little bit scared of this giant horse. I don't blame him though, Frederick looked a little bit spooked on stage himself.
That mane though, hot damn!
He is absolutely BREATHTAKING 🐎
...my god....that is one fucking handsome horse.
Magnificent beast.
There you have it, Colbert just interviewed a horse. I'd probably watch this man interview a paper cup.
That's on the next thursday show!
He's also interviewed the horse's crap. Last I heard, it called itself Donald Trump.
You forget that horse shit has some value for further purposes.
The horse's crap finds that comparison offensive.
Here in horse country you can buy race horse shit to fertilize your garden. That's some quality poop.
They should have told the crowd to not cheer and clap honestly, not only for the comfort of the horse, but for the safety of everyone involved.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course.
aight mr ed
You take the horse and go straight to the source.
he'll give you the answer that you endource.
Ay Bob's Burgers.
Unless, of course, the name of the horse is the famous Mr. Ed.
Commence with a Beastie Boys rap
Oi, Fred.. why the long face?
**runs for the hills**
saw you on Samantha Bee's channel as well
your jokes are pretty bad, this is like the 4th video i've seen you make a joke on in a row smh
XxCrystalxNethxX we call that 'showing support for the show by adding a comment'.
New Message way to like your own comments lol
friendly sort, you are.. have a great day making the comments section of youtube a little more miserable. :)
Gorgeous horse but I love all horses. Love his hair , his shiny healthy coat and sweet demeanor
Frederick the Great is magnificent❣He is also incredible in the show ring!
Sometimes, you need a show that starts with a merciless calling out of political BS that ends with a man giving a hug to a horse.
Yep, facts are sooo painful.
do you watch the news ever? it always ends with puppies and cats. and now the weather.
i love u
It worked as click bait for me and I can think of many jokes which include the horse, but I'll leave that to the experts.🐴
What highlighter did the horse use?
definitely Sean Connery
Neighbaline?
???
@@TheOmegagoldfish probably
Stephen did a better job interviewing a horse than Kimmel or Fallon could ever dream of interviewing a person
I don't know much about horses, but I do know beauty and that horse has a lot of it.
He's awesome and so beautiful.
The words "Rolex Central Park Horse Show" just made my bank account shrivel up and die.
Somewhere.. Sarah Jessica Parker just decided to take a cold shower
LMAO
DEAD
Is it because she's a horse?
XD I've never understood this meme but it amuses me to no end.
It's from south park and they said that Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a horse
Omg he's gorgeous! 😍 My favorite kind of horse, so majestic!
This was 4 years ago, Frederik's mane has grown much longer and thicker since then , I viewed a video from 2019, omg! he is gorgeous!
Stephen had more respect for this horse than for Oliver Stone.
the horse has more to offer
? How did he show disrespect?
If you anger a horse it is capable of trampling you down. I guess Oliver Stone isn´t...
Oliver Stone is a real shit (I was told by people who had to work with him). The horse looks good and is a hell of a lot more honest and trustworthy.
That HAD to be the inspiration for Katy Perry's Dark Horse.... lol he's gorgeous.
A dark horse is a trope, it's not referring to an actual horse lol
Well, I said LOL. That should be your first clue.
I know, I know......
Look at those shinny hooves! ( °o°)
GORGEOUS
I'm already a huge fan of Frederick, so the fact that talk show hosts are talking about him as well says a lot about how truly handsome he is
that is a really beautiful horse ...
Somewhere in Asgard, Loki shivers.

Beautiful horse.
What a beautiful and magnificent horse. Love you Stephen Colbert. You are a magnificent human being.
that is one beautiful horse !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love that his owner coordinated her hair and outfit with the horse!
When did Yennefer of Vengerberg tame Black Beauty?
Bravo
You know, she use her instead of stuffed unicorn.
Stop spreading unrealistic body image standards for horses. All horses are beautiful.
Indeed.
