- Something a bit different, I was asked to review from a company called Vevor. they sell loads of different items from table legs to hobby and craft items. so I thought I would give it ago. so they sent me this 4inch chuck and it comes with three sets of jaws. Lets see how it preforms.

Thanks for a very thorough review Steve. Looks like a good budget chuck that will do the job adequately. Their website is a bit confusing on the various chuck specs, but has a decent range of options. A good chuck for the newer turner or as a “spare” chuck for the rest of us. All the best.

Great review Steve informative, I suspect the web site Capacity is just the. Min max travel of the jaws . I would agree with you the appropriate actual safe gripping sizes are as you describe

Hmm, Vevor just sent me a planer and I think I'm getting a vacuum pump and stabilizing pot. I'll have to look into this chuck!
It a good Chuck for the money.
I Bought a SCT 95mm 4 jaw chuck with 5 sets of jaws, indexing plate on back of the chuck also with allan type key chuck. to fit M33 x 3.5mm for £175 from Chronos LTD. came in a substantial carry case. i'm well impressed with it.
As long as it works for you that’s all that matters.

Cheers for this. I took delivery of this vevor chuck a couple of days ago and I was starting to think I had been duped as the thing spat my wood out a couple of times. Turns out, the biting of the jaws was the problem, I was trying my Tennon too big. After watching this, I can make sure I get the right kind of Tennon/Mortice when turning bowls. My chuck isn't noisy when adjusting the jaws with the chuck, maybe its just one of those things that beds in over time, but mine seems rather quiet.

Hi Steve, I've got that chuck, I got it from a guy that sadly died, It works really well but I don't like the chuck key. I prefer a square one

Good review Steve. How far can you throw it compared to sc4? just kidding. Have you any idea what makes of jaws are compatible?
I have been told the record power jaws fit bit unsure so will be checking it over the weekend.
? does it take the record power (Nova) jaws?

When you start shilling for Vevor you've reached the bottom. The only thing worse than Vevor products is their customer service.
Not everyone can afford top notch chucks so it’s always good to see others on offer. Of the money it’s a great Chuck. Will do the same as a top end Chuck.
