This is the case of "SMART TALK!" rather than SMART marble . Some guys are selling coloured body GVT and unglazed Porcelain large size tiles as smart marble. Any ceramic tile which has higher thickness will have Higher Breaking Strengh. These porcelain slabs are good for counter tops too. You don't need them for general residential flooring. Kolkata is a bug market and almost all brands are available there. Pl visit 3- 4 good showrooms and you may like products. Also there are company owned experice centres ... E.g. Here the right thing is to first carry out water proofing then install flooring. Tiles are water proof but you know if there is continuous seepage of water, the adhesive mortar will be affected. Water proofing is a precondition for any floor and then you can use porcelain tiles which are stronger....Full body , double charge or GVT all three are porcelain tils. Thank you. - Team OTF

Sir kajaria is selling something called rectified tiles… I guess it falls under 2nd category (WA of 2%. Ceramic floor tiles.
Rectified only means that all the 4 edges of tiles have been squared after firing. It has nothing to do with any thing like Water absorption or strength.
Now a days almost all types of tiles are rectified.
