As a Scot myself, let me tell you now that Lewis Capaldi is absolutely, without a single doubt, one of Scotland's pride and joy. He's so lovable, so kindhearted, so caring, so funny, so down-to-earth and so talented. You can't ask for more in a celebrity. How can anyone not love this guy?

Not really… Average at best, tbh. His personality makes up for his musical ability, but he’s just full of Scottish patter - something that non-Scot’s are unaware of (the fact that that type of humour is associated with every Scot).

Lewis Capaldi is one magnificent storyteller. It's amazing to see how far he's come along. We wish him all the best for what's to come in his career and personal life.
As someone who has panic and anxiety disorder I can’t even articulate how much it means to me to have you discus something so personal. It can be such a debilitating mental health issue but talking about it helps. The pressure on you I am sure has been so daunting at times and turning to someone for help makes a world of difference. Your voice is so beautiful when you sing. You are extremely funny which is refreshing and you are genuine which is rare. Do not ever lose your spirit. If you ever need someone to talk to I’ll be around. Without each other we are alone.

Same, I have massive panic attacks and it's ruining my life and it's just brutal. I love how honest and funny Lewis is so I'm really curious to watch this and see how he was able to manage. The only thing that has worked for me when I'm going through a bad period of panic attacks, meaning like 5+ a day is beta blockers. I take the minimum dose of propranolol three days in a row and it completely resets me it's amazing. It can seem like a magic pill but I rarely take it as it has side effects and I nearly blacked out from it one time.

The sense of relatability in Lewis is unbelievable, there’s so much relatability being young & from Scotland but the incomprehensible fact of his fame makes how much this man has to deal with even more admirable… I hope nothing but good health for Lewis & im grateful for being able to appreciate his talent.
"I'll probably f*** it up but we'll have a good time while we do it!" is literally my life's motto. Which is why I love him so much. Just be real and honest and people will love you - better to be loved/hated for who you are than to disappoint those who love the person you're pretending to be. I’ve never been more excited for a celebrity documentary. Lewis Capaldi is really special both as an artist and person in the public eye. I really love him like I love my friends even though I don’t know him. He just has such a genuineness that captures people’s hearts
I was always a little worried for Lewis when he became the sensation that he did; the industry has a horrible tendency to grab sensitive, creative and poetic people like him and wring them out like a dishcloth, squeezing out every last drop they can as fast and as ruthlessly as they can. I'm glad he has such supportive parents, and I really hope he's got some good professionals around him now that will protect him from the more mercenary elements of The Machine.
He's so self sufficient that even if he gets chewed up and spat out he'll still rise from it, he is an individual with more intelligence than all of the celebs combined, he's very grounded and humble. That what makes people overcome whatever the industry throws at them. Plus lets not forget the immense talent

I love Lewis ❤ I wish the music industry was more of a space that encouraged artists to be authentic to themselves and their art without the pressure of numbers etc. Honestly believe the greatest success is when artists are honest, vulnerable, and down to earth!!

Many people do not open up about dealing with anxiety, panic attacks, this is so refreshing , I,m an artist who also suffers from these...avoiding the triggers can help but obviously as Lewis is a public figure it must complicated to escape the pressures...his family are brilliant too!.....

I have anxiety and mild depression. They are mild, but still it hurts a lot and pain can be unbearable at times. I cannot imagine what it’s like for those that suffer it more severely. Giving you all a huge hug. Love and be kind to yourself. 💝

I watched this and I felt the record label / management were just a bunch of pigs. The unnecessary pressure, the relentless reference to someone you loved it was painful to watch. On the flip side seeing how strong and supportive his family and friends are filled me with hope. Lewis is such an incredible artist and ultimately a creative soul and he should be so proud of everything he's achieved.
Couldnt agree more, especially that one woman sitting across from him at the table saying "Gimmie Gimmie". disgusting. They killed Amy Winehouse and if his parents hadn't stepped in, he would be heading down that direction.

It is said those of us who suffer with Mental Health issues are 25% of the population, I myself have been in a dark place these past few months and fully understand what Lewis goes through with Anxiety, it can be crippling, people who haven't suffered have very little empathy and their patience with us wears thin, I have found or they become amateur psychologists who try to analyse and diagnose us, as if we are objects to be observed. My Anxiety got so bad it brought on Psychosis (Visions & Voices), others assume medication removes it but in my case it only moderates it, so I can cope (if you can call it that ) with life. For me Lewis is a true BraveHeart for speaking out about his problems. He has a FAB personality, is a great songwriter with a wonderful voice, he brings me great comfort!
Just because you have unbelievable talent doesn't mean you're automatically geared for the fame. It's got to be more overwhelming than any of us out here can grasp, but everyone needs to take care of their mental health no matter who they are. You are not alone in the struggle. Not only is your music inspiring, but so is baring your issues to inspire others who feel overtaken by their anxiety. Your angst can also be turned into great songs~

I just saw the documentary on Capaldi - Netflix did it again - excellent job! I don´t know why I´m crying, but I am... Lewis Capaldi is an example to all of us that sure, life ain´t perfect, but we gotta fight for what we want and live the best we can. His family is just adorable - what a great mom and dad! His brothers, sister - everybody, really - lots of love there. Unfortunately, Capaldi is still struggling as recently he had a gig in Germany in which his tics came back with a vengeance, but the German crowd was amazing - they sang the song for him... So, yeap, it´s a struggle because he can´t live without the live performances which he loves but these performances increase his stress levels and anxiety - catch-22 situation, but I´m sure he´ll do better and better with time. PS.: I saw this mini-series with an Australian healer called Charlie Goldsmith - Lewis Capaldi should see him...
It's the people who bring so much happiness and joy into your life who can end up suffering such mental anxieties.
If we appreciate them for the joy that they bring to us, then we must protect them. We must be understanding & forgiving.
We have to step back and grant them peace & quiet when they need it.
I'm not in to this style of music but I do love him! What a human! Protect this man at all costs

I admit I wrote comments early on, before I watched this and I totally apologise and have deleted them. What an eye opener into the life of someone thrown into fame. I always loved his music without knowing who he was, be played on the radio at work and would sing along. Then paid attention to the lyrics that sound like love/regret songs and ended up loving them and relating to them. I then find out they are songs about his nan and his aunty. What an incredible guy. To receive messages from Elton proves Lewis Calpadi is no imposter he is the real deal. If he never makes another record he will always be in my hall of fame🤩 I must say I only now 3 of his songs, I know most of George Michaels even back to his Wham days xx

Hi, I've been living under a rock in the USA and have never heard of Lewis Capaldi, but I am eager to see this film and very hopeful for the man. It takes a brave person to reveal his anxieties and fears to the world, and an even braver one to do that from on top of the world.
I removed subscription with netflix at least a year ago now.
The only reason I am re-subscribing is because of this documentary of Lewis. I love him to bits❤️

But I know he will. Im 58 years old and I am so glad I was introduced to you by my son and daughter a few years ago. I can't wait! I have been suffering from anxiety all my life, but I got kids and covid hit... my anxiety got out of control and cost me my job. The company I was working at did nothing to help me get a grip even when I told them for months that I was gonna burst eventually. If anything, they put more pressure on me to perform, be flawless while some people on my team had to take months off for health reasons. As if mental health was not an health issue! I am glad someone with an audience can talk about it! It needs to be known for it to change! I admire Lewis for being who he is even with his crazy life, and talking about it.
