I learned this aria many years ago, and always sang, "marchesane, principesse." Then I read the pronunciation notes from IPA Source and learned that the correct spelling/pronunciation is "Marchesine." So now I usually get it right the first time through...but in the fast repeat, I tend to go back to the way I've always sung it - the patter is kind of "hard wired." Anyway, I'm glad to see I'm not alone.

bodiloto Ho ascoltato il Sig. Buratto due volte dal vivo: Al San Carlo di Napoli come Nonancourt (Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze) ed al Regio di Torino come Commendatore (Don Giovanni). Posso assicurare che ora ha una tecnica impeccabile e la sua voce è da basso profondo. Proietta eccellentemente in tutti o registri ed in tutte le dinamiche. Sovrasta con facilità l’orchestra. Grande attore e molto espressivo.

Definitely not a baritone. Typical Bass from what I can hear.
