I was looking into Tombow Markers to color my artwork when I don't have my watercolors on hand. I liked the idea that since they're water-based that they can blend and fade with water. However, I do want to ask something regarding these markers. 1: Could a refillable Water Brush work with these as well as the Dove Blender Pen? 2: Would it be a good idea to get a Marker Pad?
yes, you could use a water brush. however, the colors will not remain as vibrant as you will have to add quite a bit of water to get the color to move in the same fashion as with the blender pen. you'd also have to act quickly. sorry. also remember that to achieve the look i did in this video, it is very important to use watercolor paper. i am not familiar with the marker pad so i'm sorry that i can't answer your last question.
i think that is what i demo'd here unless i'm not understanding your question properly. I color in half of each petal and then use the blender pen. if you wait too long to blend, the color will have gone way deep into the paper and will not blend properly.
Walmart has the Blender Pen available online, and the Tombow Brush Pens can be found on Dick Blacks's online catalogue. Sometimes sticking with local stores isn't a possible because they may not offer products such as these regularly. If I were you, I'd look online just as a possible way to shop because sometimes it's inevitable to shop online.
Ça donne un effet magnifique! Bravo et merci pour vos techniques faciles et vos projets très artistiques.
@sherina57 Yup, I did that too but now it's back in my desktop caddy :-) Thank you for your sweet comment. CeeCee

Tombow has a blender pen, is the Dove one better? Thank you
nope! both of them are excellent.
Does this work with all water based inks? :) x
It depends on the ink, which ink do you use?
Can you not color the first half of the petal and then use the blender marker or does it have to be instant? TY

@camaranne Merci beaucoup! CeeCee
We don't all have those type of products, so I guess I can't do the idea I had for my art sketch.
shinexminion Any waterbased marker and waterbased blender will do.
