- General Hospital's Nicholas Alexander Chavez talks with Michael Fairman after being named the Outstanding Younger Performer at the 49th Annual Daytime Emmys.
Chavez spoke on being nominated with his GH co-stars Sydney Mikayla (Ex-Trina) and William Lipton (Cameron) and just being overwhelmed by the acknowledgement from his peers and more.

A well deserved win....As a Spencer soras'd recast, he was literally thrown into a heavy storyline and he knocked it out of the park. The teen trio have the potential to become legacy characters, holding their own with older powerhouse actors and carrying their storylines with talent and grace.

All five nominees deserved to win! I was rooting for Sydney Mikayla but she will still be eligible next year (as will William Lipton) since they both turned 19 in 2022. But I am super happy for Nicholas! (:

So, let me get this straight. First he's on the football team and the debate team, then the drama teacher tells him it's him as Atticus or no show. He takes it on, gets addicted and majors in theater for 2 years, drops out, lands a movie and a show, and within 1 year he gets an Emmy. Who saw ANY of this coming?! ...Nobody.
Side observation: He's so tall. If I stood in front of him, his bowtie would look like a hair bow on me!
