  • Couldn’t someone have told me I was embarrassing myself?
You force yourself into an uncomfortable social situation to hopefully make new friends and end social isolation, only to have accomplished the complete opposite. You now feel insulted, rejected and even more lonely. Why does this keep happening to you?
In this free download video Caroline Maguire, a top Social Emotional Learning expert, will explain why women with ADHD often feel lonely and how they can edit their contributions in social situations to make friends and engender compatibility.

if you have just been diagnosed with adhd, in middle age, what at the top five areas you'd start with a therapist? I don't even know where to start...

Hopefully, you've found a therapist who TRULY understands adult female ADHD bc our traits aren't the same as what kids experience. Yes, there are similarities, but it's not the same. I say this as someone who's seen a LOT of therapists in my adult life. I'm seeing a therapist at the moment who has a child with ADHD & I know she THINKS she knows a lot about ADHD, but she doesn't know about how it presents as a woman in mid-life. I don't do well being told what to do, but yet she'll tell me to do things & hasn't caught on why I don't follow through on them. I'm not trying to be obstinate or a jerk, I just don't do well being told what to do, which I think is probably pretty universal amongst us neurodivergents. Looking back, my advice to you is to listen to podcasts & watch videos of ADHD experts to learn allll you can about this stuff. THAT will give you a roadmap on what to work on with your therapist. Best wishes to you & welcome to the club! ❤
