Love your mindset. Your work and skills is beyond 💪. The camera shows from my view a lot of depth and I don’t think we get what you get in the paint finish…not bad mouthing the paint job. Just wish could get your view 🙏. Love your work.
Thank you! Yes, it's hard to capture the flake and the sparkle from the paint. It's multidimensional but it doesnt translate on camera. I'll get it outside in the next episode and that should help!
Excellent little rig! You made it super easy to follow the build and are such an encouragement to pursue one of these kits! I have had my eye on this rig for a while and now I think I am going to take the plunge. Love the color scheme but agree that the fairlead should be black. Thanks for your tutorial! I hope you are enjoying the performance of this rig!
Thanks, and I'm glad it helped. These kits are intimidating at first, especially with no instructions. I hope this can be a resource for folks going forward
@@CapeCrawlers I almost left the Fairlead black. I'm wishing now that I detail painted the whole winch. It might have helped with the fairlead color choice. I'm sorry, Adam. I dropped the ball.
Couple new things I'll get for mine as inspiration from yours, the metal axel housings, the servo & the 53mm shocks. you always make me want to improve my rigs!
No way man, your ripper is gorgeous. I went wild with the paint on mine to try to make something over the top. Yours looks fantastic with the blue and black
@Cape Crawlers so, Adam, I think I've settled on the Paint Scheme for mine. 4 different shades of white with Real Fire airbrushed on the front. With a primarily white upholstered interior with a yellow to red fade in the carpet. Just as intense as yours with White Zombie as the theme. I'm still working on getting the Billet Super 8's and i plan to use my second Mofo brass Servo. I already have a set of Gripper tires mounted on white stamped steel wheels with the hubs flipped. As for electronics, I have a Lizard Pro and the Hellfire motor I was telling you about. Working on getting an Avatar Radio set up. And I think I'm going to use the paint process as the opening video for my Channel. And the subsequent buid etc....Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you, again, for the opportunity to do the custom paint/detail work on yours. I'm happy that you're happy with it.
Just finished my ripper build assembly aside from driveline components. I painted it gloss Tangerine Orange and Matte Black using Testors paint and a white bonding spray primer for the base coat underneath. I replicated my buddys old LJ with the build. I’ll be robbing my Bronco of all of its driveline to swap over to it
@@CapeCrawlersI’ve got questions, I just got mine all built and assembled. I’m having issues with suspension flex and what feels like binding in the suspension. I’ve put some oil on the shocks themselves, I’m not running springs either. Does the build require super 8 axles? I’m currently on Injora +4mm axles as of writing this. Thanks for any help
This is really awesome, definitely next level. I love building models, but the fun stops when you're done. it's pretty cool to be able to put something together fully and then put it to the test
That thing is gorgeous, you should call it the joker 😁I'd love to have one but i just can't justify the 250 euros it would cost me after buying it, tax, impor fees and shipping 😢
Wasn’t sure how I felt about that kit at first but seeing the final product really made me like it. That paint scheme is super cool too reminds of Halloween lol can’t wait to see what’s going to power this beast now 😎💪🏻
54 mm shocks that's nuts that thing is going to head to flex like no tomorrow also you had that's pretty long drive shaft just to keep them together man beautiful job on all of it I just don't know about no 54 mm shawkat's huge
Adam, i dont know how you aal this time on your hands but thanks. This video was extremly help with Ripper Chasis build. I shared my build on FB with you.
I won't lie, brother, your buddy's Watermark logo in the hood absolutely destroyed the outcome of it, but it's still a pretty awesome glossy paint job.
Yooo!! That Looks amazing!! I now know, what to wish for my birthday xD! Im just kinda scared of the price and the choosing/instalation of the electronics. Any Tips? Oh yeah, and i just want to say how much i like you/your channel. Your just so nice and down to earth. You know what you talk about, always reply to comments (wich can be quite tuff with such a big community) and helped me on my journey through crawling!
Thank you! I appreciate that! I went with a brushless system on mine, but that complicates things as you'll see in part two. If you went with a brushed motor and stock electronics, this would be a very easy fit and assembly. There's plenty of room to do a 050 sized brushed motor. If I were to do it again, that's probably what I would do. Thanks again!
Very nice kit Adam, I messaged you on IG a while back giving you a little tip on the frame part of the ripper. Those braces in the middle actually all come out not just the ones covering the motor and transmission, but the front and rear braces on the frame act a little bit like bump stop. However, by the time I write this comment you've already probably cut them out. Loving your ripper, this thing looks nice.
U think the LGRP portals axles will work with the kit? I know they don’t make them any more but unfortunately I have a brand new set that I haven’t used since there first release lol
For what truck? If you're looking at the ripper, you could choose any axles. Links will get more specific. Check out RCaddictions19 for some stainless links.
I chose those colors because most people don't think they work together. I think, to a certain extent, I've proven that sentiment false. Granted, it's not for everyone, however for the Wild Child types, it hits the nail squarely on the head. --Big Mountain
@@WestDesertRc that was the intent. Under that green, is a chromed out chassis....done purposely so that as Adam puts scratches in the frame, the metal Chassis shines through. And, colorwise, Purple and Orange NEEDS the green to tie the colors together. Without it, those colors, breaking together, wouldn't work as well as they do. The color choices were specific and mindfully made.
Awesome video explaining everything but in my opinion and it’s just an opinion you took a hobby kit and made it look suuuuper toy with the color choice. It’s like it but not my cup of tea
@@SONNIC_BOOM_RC I tried to give him as many Scale Details as I could without turning it into a trailer/shelf queen. I'm happy you like it and I'm eternally grateful to Adam for letting me Collab on it with him. --Big Mountain

Joker is a perfect name. I should find a Joker sticker and put it on the roof! Bummer about the logistical costs!
You should name it the joker because of the color combo. That's immediately where my mind went when I saw the thumbnail.
Yes! I dig it
Looks amazing! Maybe black out the top of the winch to make it look like it's smiling? 😂 And no roof. Show off that amazing interior!
I am going to try it with no roof!

I'm thinking about getting a Joker decal for the roof!

@@CapeCrawlers for the stock bronco
Not a bad price for what you all get.
No, not at all. Tremendous detail!
Would some flex blades give you the extra body drop you're looking for, but still retain the max extension/droop?
Possibly. Certainly in the rear. I ended up cutting the frame braces underneath and that dropped it significantly
Looking sweet 👍👍😎
Have my eye on this thing, right after my Warthog and Akers Engineering Gecko builds are complete.
