you know what i just realized... she and I have so much in common! Papercut was likely the first song of Linkin Park i've ever listened to, infact i kinda grew up listening to them and today i still listen to them! and now to see my favorite band/artist in singing songs i grew up with it's just like how 'In The End' by linkin park says "watching time go by is the pendulum swings" its all come full circle! I love it!

For the longest time, I was convinced that I had to give up my middle school bands, since that’s what’s considered everyone’s “emo/edgy” phase of you listen to a certain type of music. And I tried so hard to break away from any kind of stereotype, I tried so hard to be my own person, that I left behind the band that inspired me to be myself in that effort. Here I am 5, 6 years later and I’m crying because I’ve finally learned that I’m allowed to like the bands I like regardless of how edgy the words may seem- clearly I find meaning in them, which makes them important. But Icon for Hire as a band has done so much for me.
Y’all were the first band that I actually enjoyed, when Make a Move was featured on NGEN, wedged between a wash of Christian rap- finally a sound I could scream at the top of my lungs to and not have my mom worry about the music I was listening to. You gave me a sense of confidence that led me to theatre, where I grew so much into myself. You were the ones that inspired me to sing. In junior year of high school I finally took singing lessons and Pieces was the first song I ever sang to a crowed, dressed in black and zippers and painted with purple lipstick and the only one to actually be moving across the stage. I’m in my junior year of college now and I’m finally about to move away from home and I’m back here again, finding a resurgence of confidence and catching up on all the music I’ve missed.
I feel weird leaving this on a tribute video- and what a wonderful tribute it was too- but I didn’t know where else to leave it when the need to say all this hit me to hard. I just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me to be the person I am today, 20 and about to hit the world full force, because you’ve taught me that I am lovely.

I was around the age of 10 when I found hybrid theory. 99% of their songs talked about things I had been through or currently going through. They were a big part of the reason I didnt end it all when I was younger. My all time goal was to see one of their concerts and get to meet Chester who I wanted to help teach me how to scream (I scream like a little girl lol). Sadly none of that happened. I made up for that with your last visit to Decatur. That was my first concert I had been to and I 100% doubt it can be topped by anyone else. #DecaturRepresent #MakeChesterProud
One of LP's biggest things was seeing how others could take their music and not copy it but make it their own and I love how you've done just that. LP would be proud of this.
My english is so bad. But my experience with Linkin Park was wonderfull. I only saw them once when they came to Argentina and it was magic. I could not believe having Chester and the band play just a few meters away. I always was waiting for that moment and when it happened I knew I would remember it forever.

linkin park is one of the bands that got me through my teen years.
Their lyrics, chesters angst and anger was and is so relatable... They allowed me to release my own emotions through their music.
I miss chester ever single day, i never knew him personally, i never even saw him live. But he is a huge part of who i am and why i am still around today.
Why this have only 20k views.. Cmon.. I loved LP since first time hearing them.. And a couple days ago I found this group.. Cmon.. I love it!!!
Hybrid Theory helped get me through my grndma's passing in 2000. I was very close to her, and it really hit me hard when she passed. Hybrid Theory helped me get through it. I constantly had that album playing for like, 3 months straight after she passed. It was the only thing I wanted to listen to. So it's really nice to see you cover a song from that album. And you did an amazing job on it. Thank you!
Linkin Park helped me a lot with depression and that's why they are so important to me, and what's giving me the motivation I need to keep going everyday is seeing how Mike Shinoda is strong enough to move on and do what he likes the most but without forgetting Chester

So so beautiful. You honored Chester very well, amazing. Short and sweet. I was one of those kids with deep depression and socially awkward...trans in the closet. But I could never connect with anyone till someone heard me listening to LP. Not only did the songs help me I guess deal? with what was in my head but also helped me as a catalyst, to start learning how to be social and I don't know how but made everyone see me as a little less weird.

I was in high school playing football, when one of my good friends told me to take a listen to this and it was papercut that was playing on their cd player.
