Watching this brings me back to the tornado of emotions I and all of the other Pats fans experienced that night...After the Kearse catch they were staring a 3 game Super Bowl losing streak right in the face, with miraculous, act of God, gut-wrenching catches helping seal the deal in all 3. Also, all of the haters everywhere (mostly bitter former players) were still reminding everyone that there had been no SB wins since the alleged cheating incident in '07. With Seattle facing 2nd and goal from the half yard line and Belichick letting the clock run to keep the Seahawks from being able to set up on offense, a long great season was set to crumble. The play that Malcolm made makes me question even more why he wasn't starting and in on every play against the Eagles 3 weeks ago. I have heard the strategic explanations and it all they do is evoke more anger. They say Patriots fans are spoiled, but like any other team you just don't know when and if they'll be back there again, no matter how great it has been since 2000. Belichick and Brady will be back in 2018, but Gronkowski is 50/50 at this point. Sometime in the next 5 years max this era is going to end. Hopefully the transition will be smooth, but when it happened I just had a feeling that losing Garoppollo was very bad news for the future. That is why every Super Bowl means so much and losing hurts so badly. It also makes true Pats fans appreciate unforgettable nights like this victory in SB XLIX.

i remember watching this, a Redskins fan/part time Ravens fan, and i hate the Seahawks so much yet i cried of frustration because as much as i hate them, i just hated the Pats more. example of my Pats hatred---i created my twitter account just to talk shit about them. i definitely think Deflategate changed my mind about them. the year after this, i was still elated that they lost to the Broncos but it was not because of my hate towards them, it was more of me wanting Peyton to go out a champ. then the Atlanta SB just OBLITERATED that hatred towards this team and its now turned into RESPECT. im still a Redskins fan and i pray that before Brady retires at least have Haskins beat him in a regular season game but man do i respect this team.
