Alan ball was a brilliant player all throughout his career for club and country. As a soton fan he played for us during the twilight of his career and he was still a class act. And during his time as manager he built the team around matt le tissier. He said he knows class when he sees it. R I P BALLY.
So sad to hear all this. Bally was a brilliant player, one that I admired very much. I had no idea of the true extent of his struggles in his latter years, but I did know that he had to sell his caps and medals due to financial problems. Sleep well, mate. You were an amazing player and, by all accounts, a true gentleman. This comes from the heart ❤️ from an LFC supporter.
Alan Ball a tremendous player Graham sourness was asked who his hardest opponent was without hesitation he said Alan Ball and that he couldn’t get near him Alan Ball a true great
Yer dead right Son, I have watched the 66 final over &over ...he never stopped running , .....and the lad could play ,he was good , May he R I P 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴✌️
I’ve met one his daughters and the way she spoke about him they would never say a bad word about him. This is bollocks … he’s a legend on the south coast and everywhere else he’s played or managed ❤
Playing Saturday morning school football for my school Eccles Grammar School, against Alan Ball's school Farnworth Grammar in 1962/63/64 we both played at inside forward opposite each other; we were both 5'6; and we both had red hair; and we both thought we were Denis Law. After the first game against each other I realized I had met my match - he was a real super star in the making. Later I was to admire him as he won his world cup medal in 1966 playing for England. My peak was playing for Kings College in London from 65-68.
Alan Ball was the best player on the field against the German's if they had him in their team they would have beaten England in the World Cup that's how good Alan was and the Everton midfield of Ball, Kendall and Harvey was one of the greatest midfield ever Alan was a genuine world class player R.I.P. THE GREAT ALAN BALL AND THANKS FOR EVERYTHING MY FRIEND.
Alan was an all action player very fiery with an amazing engine . Alan senior managed my team f.c. Halifax team and got us promotion to division three very sadly he had a fatal car accident . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Alan wanted to play and played with passion and skill............everything you need, the rest is history. Passion enthusiasm and passion.....who are todays equivalents?
Exactly what I wondered. Pics of George Cohen in an England shirt appeared sporadically in this video without cause or reason. As a Pompey supporter I often encountered Bally when he passed through the ticket office and he always had the time for a quick chat which he initiated. He genuinely came across as a really nice guy and so down to earth.
@@alana7259 Great player; two memories: '66 World Cup Final where he covered every blade of grass and some + watching him play against Palace at Selhurst for Arsenal where every time Palace equalised he just went into another gear and created another goal ... best player on the pitch by far.
There are hundreds of other similar AI bullocks stories. So far, I think every single of them has some sort of sad, tragic or miserable angle. Not one happy baller amongst all these legendary players, that's just pathetic. Those late heroes had deserved way better than this complete nonsense.
This video has obviously been put together by a know nothing Yank, soccer, soccer, soccer. I was so fortunate to be around when he Signed for Everton, year younger than him, one of the greatest players to play for my club. RIP bally
One of the greatest footballers and will never be forgotten.

I met Alan when he played for Arsenal and talked football with him for over half an hour…A truly great player, a lovely man and a gentleman.
I referred Alan Balls first match at Exeter City. He was a lovely man

Some bizarre photo selections with Bobby Charlton, George Cohen and Malcolm MacDonald all being tagged as Alan Ball.

Not sure why a picture of George Cohen appeared at the start when speaking of Ball; tends to make one think that the whole piece is inaccurate.

Loads of inaccuracies in this piece including the reference to Ball senior playing for Everton. I can assure you he didn't.
ITS NOT SOCCER ITS FOOTBALL
Sure miss those days when football was football. Obviously because the game was played by the players feet, not their g'damn socks.
This is so inaccurate it needs to be taken down , please check your facts before posting
Great player and person, You missed that he Managed Exeter City and help save the club!
What a load of bollocks. Dodgy pics, random players and an insult to a wonderful player. Who wrote the script? The AI commentary is nonsense too.

Great player gave 200% in a game.
I wasted four minutes watching this rubbish. Alan Ball one third of our trilogy was a great footballer.
He got booed every away game he played, yet was man of the match in world cup final.I had the pleasure watching the 66 Final.Pretty shameful really!
Very amateurish, and misleading! Yuk!
It is alledged he was a gambler Everton sold him as the chairman Moore paid his debts off too many times
Soccer, soccer, soccer. Is this narrator an egg-chaser by any chance? For fuck's sake, it's FOOTBALL!!!
why the picture of malcolm macdonald?
Jimmy Armfield & George Cohen popped up too!
Fantatic player. Dreadful video.
It’s FOOTBALL.
What a load of nonsense !
Pounds not euros😮
Football not soccer
