Your videos defines a new standard for A320 tutorials and I have watched a lot of them :) The way you explain and include all the fine details in such an easy-to-understand way is fantastic. Highly appreciate the work you do, I am convinced that you will soon have thousands of subscribers.
It will be great if you explain the importance at 400 ft to check LAND on PFD, at no less than 40 ft FLARE AND AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE ROLLOUT. Also when you should perform a Go Around for example when you have the AUTOLAND red light on. Again congratulations for your excellent job
Enjoyed it again. Followed every step you explained - well done! Out of interest - you have to insert the QNH into the FMC and ofc the instrument panel. What if both figures are inconsistent? Would there be an error message? Why does the FmC need the qnh as well? Does the ac calculate or plan with it? No further questions, sorry it too detailed. Just trying to learn as much as possible!
Hello! Good Questions as Usual! We insert the QNH into the FMC (MCDU) to compute the cabin pressurization segment. As we descend into the Levels of the current QNH the A/C can use this info to adjust the pressurization system accordingly, Inserting the temperature also helps to contribute to this data. The QNH on the FCU on the Capt and FO side (Also on the "ISIS" Standby HSI) is used to calibrate the Altimeters to the pressure outside, if the Capt, FO and ISIS had different figures dialled in, you'll get "NAV BARO REF DISCREPENCY" message on the ECAM asking the Pilots to Xross check their BARO Settings. An incorrect BARO setting can be very dangerous and the aviation industry has lost A/C and crew in the past to such errors...
I use it when I need to, if I needed to descend a specific fpm or on a non-precision approach I'd us the VS, but in general I usually use Managed or Selected Descent via the Alt knob
Thanks for your comment, in real life, it wouldn't do that, the issue we face is sometimes the GS doesn't fully match up 100% between the A320 Model FMGS Data and MSFS2020 Airport. I'm sure there's a way to rectify this and is something we're working on. But in real life doing this procedure you'd see the AC touchdown on the right spot :)
One question Captain. When you turned direct to PEDOV you dialed 3000 ft in the fcu and pressed the alt knob but the yellow dot did not appear on the side indicating managed mode. (@10:25) Why is that? I really appreciate these videos I watched all of them and subscribed! Thank you!
Hi thanks for watching and subscribing and we really appreciate your kind words, you’re right we should see the ball next to the alt show up and we also need to see alt in magenta on the fma, cause we are indeed doing a managed descent to pedov. We had a glitch in the software that didn’t pick up the constraints so it didn’t display it properly. We have rectified that with an update, But to answer your question, yes you’re right you should see a dot next to the alt screen when doing a managed maneuver. Appreciate you being part of our channel. God Bless! 😁👍🏽✈️

@@waypointsaviation awesome! I got it! Thanks for your comprehensive explanation. Much appreciated!
Thank you for your response ☺Captain I noticed you don't use the v/s selector button is that normal ?

Awesome landing! But I have a question. Why did the aircraft land on displaced threshold?

@@waypointsaviation Thank you for clarifying 🙏 safe landings!
Why not always autoland CAT3 B or C whenever/whereever possible? Why do it only during bad wheather?
Good point, BUT… we’re Pilots we like to Fly the Aircraft manually as much as possible 😁🤙🏽
