actually someone who ,,knows" how to care of animals but i can't agree how he is handle those animals. he was super fast showing those reptiles which are on sale, i mean this: 8:57 this poors things tail is under the house. be careful with that animals. they aren't objects. he was hurting those animals by being so fast. also he was stressing them and should let them rest, or be slow and careful.
Your right and your wrong, yes he was putting a bit to much stress on them but they live pretty relaxed most the time and it wasn't exactly cruel but u sure do make a valid argument on he way he handles the leopard geckos
Every one gets on him for setting up his Leo's in tubs but the thing is that there are pet stores (not all of them) that order dozens of Leo's at a time because they know some will die and it won't make them any money. In conclusion he knows how to care for them they look healthy. oh and I love your collection
+TheRealrand01 they are talking about the eggs. If you take the eggs away too fast the female can get traumatized due to loss of her eggs. I used too wait untill she wasn't constantly around them anymore, take her out of the cage and wait untill my sister had taken all the eggs out before putting her back. If she gets traumatized, she can die
The only thing dirt is good for is causing them to get impacted, and as I already stated before, decorations are meaningless to them, also plants require UVA while these are noctural animals that do not enjoy bathing in sunlight so you'll only stress the animal or kill the plant slowly with that.
Saba Maqsood 'it;s not in their nature to be in such small places.' Leopard geckos spend most of their life hidden between rock crevices in the wild only to come out at night to eat bugs, it IS their nature. Now this isn't the wild, I'll give you that, but these aren't domesticated animals, their behaviour and instincts have not changed since we started keeping them in captivity, they're purely been bred in different shapes and colors and not for displaying certain behaviour.
Very nice! looked like my apartment i had everything nice and neat too. But having that sink in there and a door you can close off to everyone else very nice mint mint mint set up!!!
correct me if I am wrong, this is one of the few reptile rooms that seems to meet all the requirements to create a suitable environment( literally replicating each species natural habitat). You must must work at a specialty reptile shop, and or,done some pretty good research to create such an elaborate reptile room!
Really great looking enclosures you can tell that you truly care about the happiness of your animals not just what they need to exist, what they need to thrive. Really beautiful lizards who looked like they have so much personality. I am sure it is a tad frustrating that your female likes to redecorate the sleep hide with all the cages foliage but it was nice of you to go ahead and put all her hard work back where she had pulled it! I hope you got big healthy clutches of viable babies.
You guys clearly don't seem to understand why breeders keep animals in plastic containers. let me say what he is again... BREEDER. A plastic bin is much better than an aquarium with a screen lid at holding heat and humidity. They're also cheaper and easier to clean. The only benefit of a glass aquarium is it makes a better display, which couldn't matter to any reptile one bit. If I were you, I would quit listening to your vet and I would quit accusing people of animal cruelty who are more knowledgeable than you and who take better care of their animals than you.
Plastic bins are fine as, like you said, they hold humidity and heat better than an aquarium. However, keeping them in such small plastic bins is where the problems begins for me. I know they do it for profit, but the size geckos breeders keep in such tiny enclosures really isn't OK. Of course they role with the mentality of "it isn't permanent", but that kind of housing when used as a permanent home for a collection animal just isn't right. People then use the justification of "breeders do it" as a reason to why it is fine (even though breeders will almost always shortcut). A lizard should default into the "2 inches of length, 1 inch of depth for enclosure space for every inch of the lizard" as a minimum; adult leos generally hit or break 8 inches in length; the bins people house them in are no where near 16"x8". I am not calling out the video maker, but over defending that mindset does lead to many a sub-optimal setup.
Too everyone in these comments! To start of I made no profit off breeding all of the sold animals went back into feeding all of them including my non breeding animals like monitors. Secondly people use aquariums for better viewing and although they seem much bigger the height is completely unused by these geckos so ground space is the most important. The geckos prefer darker areas similar to the rock crevices the hide in naturally. The dimensions of a ten gallon aquarium base is 11x13 reccomended by most for one adult leo, i kept my adults in 23x16 tubs. Ive also personally found from years of keeping in both glass tanks and tubs hatchlings especially do better in tiny places making it easier to find food. Just like anything theres forms of opinion but there is definitely nothing wrong with using a tubs, me especially having a huge love for nice decorated cages..just found tubs to be the best route!
Absolutely love your husbandry and setups! Killer. Keep it up brother! Thanks for the video. I just picked up a abronia graminea this past weekend at repticon. It's my first abronia and I gata say you should look into picking one up we have similar tastes it seems and I think you would really like them. Something not a lot of people have.
I don't know why but I love watching this video. This is like the fifth time I've watched it. I guess I just want to have my own room for a TON of reptiles!!xD
I LOVED your Savannah and Tegu enclosures! I am needing to make one for my Savannahs. Can you tell me where you got your building plans for the enclosures?
@@corvina_y well, yes! other than the typical ones: leopard geckos, bearded dragons, crested geckos, I would like to know what other lizards make good pets... I like iguanas though
hey guy I was only a minute in to this thing. and congrats that is a seriously nice set up. Man. if you Ever come to Montana. to the big sky expo this coming April I will definitely show up to your both. nice job man.
That is a beautiful setup! Tegus are amazing but man do they hate having nice cages. Mine either bashes the plants and the wall and stuffs them in his water dish, or puts them in his hide. I even built Loki a waterfall which lasted a day until he thought it would be improved if he moved the spanish moss from the walls and into the water pump.
Unlike most reptiles, tegus build nests. They try to control humidity in their caves. You might want to put in hay into the terra as nesting material. It looks quite funny when they move it in front of them with their arms.
very nice room man. looks really professional and well done. i would love it if my room looked like yours. im just not that big of a fan of geckos. your tegus and sav looked great!
I love your set ups; they're gorgeous! I was wondering how often you clean the larger tanks with soil and how? I notice you have a lot of plants and the tanks themselves are pretty big. Do you ever have problems with mold because of the humidity? Thanks!
I also have a soft shell turtle! My dad rescued him (it's actually a her but we call it a him) anyways my dad rescued him from a golf course. He's so picky and literally only lets you hand feed him his food. He just sleeps a lot under the sand in his tank
How do you build the racks for the leopard gecko? Plan on upgrading my reptile room soon will be getting a savannah and nile monitor with 2 40 gallon tanks 3/4 land and 1/4 water somewere around there.
ey dude ya room is pretty cool but do me and ur animals a favour pls handle it with more care especially the gekkos
Love the room!
I'm very interested in the tegu's enclosure, can you please tell me how you made it and how you normally maintain it? thank you so much!
Love your set up!!!

+hiro watanabe omg yes i just saw that how cruel ! never should look after an animal like that
+Dominic White no offense, but ur being kinda stupid, imagine some putting foam on ur leg, YOU CAN FUCKING MOVE IT OUT FROM UNDER THE PIECE OF FOAM
+Matthew Studier i have no idea what your on about !!!! foam and a leg is not related to geckos?!
Your right and your wrong, yes he was putting a bit to much stress on them but they live pretty relaxed most the time and it wasn't exactly cruel but u sure do make a valid argument on he way he handles the leopard geckos
Wow, all very great looking vivarium! beautifull setups!!
I'm so jealous of your reptile room! It's absolutely gorgeous!
Cages are so high quality you can tell you care a lot about you’re animals keep it up
Wow your reptile enclosures look amazing.
Your collection rocks! Love it!
Isn't sand really bad for beardies ?
Yeah very bad
By far the best reptile room I've ever seen
great video bro, it's my dream to have a room like that. 😄
ME TOOO!! If I ever won the lottery, I'd buy a house and turn it into a rain forest!!
lmao. If i won the lottery id freakin buy a rainforest.
I'm gonna sponsor a rainforest, u get 1 acre for £3 a month. I love the rainforest
Me too!!!!!
Update: I have a room like this now XD
Very cool setups. Nice reptiles and they all look healthy. Keep it up.
I don't think I've ever seen a video without negative comments great room keep up the work man
Look again.
Very nicely decorated. One can see that you really care for your pets!
Every one gets on him for setting up his Leo's in tubs but the thing is that there are pet stores (not all of them) that order dozens of Leo's at a time because they know some will die and it won't make them any money. Best reptile room ive ever seen. Hands down
cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
Really nice enclosures! And reptiles.
Everything seems pretty rad other than the leopard geckos. I feel bad for them.
The sad life of a leopard gecko. Part 1.
I know. I'm just saying I feel bad lol
Awesome setups you have there look forward to seeing more vlogs 👍
You pull the racks out far too quickly
did you hear what he said twice?? "im going to go quickly throught this" "im going to go really fast"
you shouldn't pull them out so quickly
+TheRealrand01 they are still being treated poorly u can do it fast and not fucking traumatize them dumbass
wtf ur like off topic lol
+TheRealrand01 they are talking about the eggs. If you take the eggs away too fast the female can get traumatized due to loss of her eggs. I used too wait untill she wasn't constantly around them anymore, take her out of the cage and wait untill my sister had taken all the eggs out before putting her back. wow your room is awesome and so huge and organized
bro i think u have to many reptiles than u can take care of u need to take better care of the geckos
Great viv great size and a very healthy looking Savannah
Why are they so cramped? Great Collection, but they should get more space, and more dirt and plants.
Not ALL of them are cramped, though, but a lot of them.
Dude that's way better then sticking them in drawers or "racks" like most cheap breeders
Well yea, but comparing it to something even more cramped is not different, it;s not in their nature to be in such small places.
The only thing dirt is good for is causing them to get impacted, and as I already stated before, decorations are meaningless to them, also plants require UVA while these are noctural animals that do not enjoy bathing in sunlight so you'll only stress the animal or kill the plant slowly with that.

Takes me back to when I used to live in a more regional area, we'd get leaf tailed geckos in our backyard.

Try not to move your gekos so fast, you'll scare them.
NightFury Dino yeah I don't like how quick he's opening it and when he picks up the hide and bumps them
I love the tegus, they are beautiful. Also, I love the care that you put into their environments. Your reptile room looks amazing!
The leopard geckos' tails are a little thinner than they should be...or maybe it's just me...
I thought so too...
Can baby's tail is you know small? My baby's is very small but I think that's normal maybe not ?! Lmao!
Mazais Lemeshuk For some reason, I kinda agree :/
DesireeRobynxo it shoudnt be too small just try to give them a lil more food until the tail gets a lil bigger
I love how organized yours is while still look clean and smooth it's awesome man!
do leopard gecko needs light?? cause you store them in a tupper ware
Seiji Sakai there night animals
Seiji Sakai they are not nocturnal like most people think. They are most active at dawn and dusk I think it's called obnocturnal or something.
No but they need belly heat.
suo mynona no, but it's optional
Ya guys I have been watching him for awhile and he is one of the best when it comes to careing for his herps your great brah
I would love to buy a leaper gecko
