I recently purchased a brand new 5th wheel made by Outdoors RV out of La Grande, Oregon. I hired a 3rd party inspector and was glad I did so. It gave me the peace of mind that when I picked up the unit, everything would be good to go. By far the biggest issue that was found with this RV was missing sealant. This tells me that is not an item that dealers check for when they perform their PDI. I will say though that by and large, with the exception of one 12v plug under the dinette not working, those were the only issues that the inspector found. The dealer does get kudos because the rig was fully prepped with all of the essentials and ready for the inspection.
A very enlightening video, Laurel and Pierre, thank you! I would NEVER purchase an RV again, new or used, without having an inspection done by a qualified third party, and that would certainly be you folks! A previous purchase, our first Class A, we thought at the time was a smart purchase because it was a model year leftover, we reasoned that we "saved" a lot of $'s. Oh, were we wrong! When an RV has been sitting around for a year at a dealership and not properly maintained, problems can develop, as we found out the hard way! How that thing got out of the factory, let alone passed a PDI at the dealership, is inexplicable! We didn't know what we didn't know, but we know now!
In the old days PDI, Pre Delivery Inspected or Inspection, but the new meaning from learing what the Blue Ox team does, Probably DIDN'T Inspect!!! You two are a real Team, love watching you interact with each other. Thanks for saving folks so much heart ache and money.
Good stuff, any comment from you with regards to the pitfalls of a class B? I’m not an owner yet just ready to take the plunge and hit the road as a 78 year old single dude wanting to travel.
And still these units are still on the road, probably getting sold to unsuspecting buyers even today. Would be nice to know the selling price of each coach, which has some weight in our "bust or buy" decisions.
We avoid knowing prices exactly fir that reason . It could influence our approach maybe! Ohhh, it only $80k...well at that price....🤔 you catch my drift 😏
PDi: In RV Technology. Please Don’t Investigate” =Hosing the Customer. Love the Dealers Charging $2000.00 for. PDI Inspections that never happened. Fraud is Pure Profit!
PDI-- Probably Didn’t Inspect. Biggest scam. You pay them for a PDI so more fleecing while they bend you over. Sad that one brand leads the way with issues….. Keep up the videos.
Great video guys!
Wow !! That's a bunch of money !! Great job !!
This is a great video to show people how you save them the frustrations of owning a pig with lipstick or a pos. Great job!

Good for you 👍 👏
What a quarter. 1.5 million in saves. That deserves a pat on the back and a great job.
The industry is not going to give us that "pat on the back" trust me 🙃
PDI pre delivery inspection
Probably Didn't Inspect 😉
If I remember right, # 2 the toilet wasn’t even attached to the floor.

Valuable service! Inspection should be a given before buying.

Your like Bruce, you don't understand when I talk? Lol 🤣

Not surprised.... You guys are the best.. ❤
The price doesn’t matter. It’s the manufacturing and skill to build.

ALL vehicles are in fact only depreciating liabilities! Especially TODAY'S vehicles!

Whatever price.
If you are my best friend during the inspection 😉

Bob tiffin was a great person. Had his personal phone number
Probably didn't inspected, bust on all of those units 🎉
Have you guys ever check a all most perfect RV . It don't seem like there is one .
We have a few...but you're right. Not a common thing from this industry 😉
Tiffin has gone downhill since Thor bought it. The company used to be a proud name with a famously competent, honest and conscientious owner.
In constant effort to come back 😪
Yup! Probably Didn’t Inspect!
