This should be the standard for fire arms and ammo review videos, no bull shit opinions, no glock worshiping, or bias just cold numbers. Keep it up man. I looked up ur vid after I picked up 100rd of zvs for $12.80. I still will probably buy more zvs(sooo cheap) but I had never even looked into the Independence ammo.

My advice to everyone .... Buy whatever is:
    1st - reliable
2nd - reasonably accurate in your firearm
    Turd - relatively inexpensive
    4th - availability
From this test results it seems the Winchester and Fiocchi were the best all around. Priced well. Available. Reasonably accurate. Reasonable velocities.
If all things were equal I'd choose the Speer based on your test. But then perhaps I don't own a Beretta or G19, and my particular firearms might not do great with it?

    • @brandongaylor

Lawman is the cleaner, pricier version of Blazer Brass. They both use those electroplated, total metal jackets. The only "FMJ" ammo I use now is TMJ ammo...Lawman, Blazer, and Freedom Munitions TMJ.

This tells us very little. All That ammo in each brand is more accurate than all shooters! Unless you are shooting from a rest. Same goes for testing accuracy of a gun. If you are not using a rest. The deviation in each shot or group is you. Not the gun. You seem to be a decent shooter. But my point is, if you use one ammo and do 10 5shot groups at 12yrds. Ull see that the deviation between groups is you. Not trying to be condescending. Just giving you a heads up.

@@brandongaylor cabelas herter's brand is supposed to be the same or it's made by s&b anyways. Anyways I just got a shield for my first gun and was just looking at what ammo is best. Ive heard great things about s&b ammo and I'm trying to decide between 115gr and 124gr for target practice. I've heard 124gr cycles better and would be more accurate but I have a cabelas gift card and herters is 115 gr there while American eagle is 124. Im probably just over thinking this too much lol

The only real fair way to measure accuracy is with a fixed barrel tool or at least a gun rest.

In this test I didn't have any problems with it, but this was the first time I've shot it.

FYI Lucky Gunner is running a sale (as of 4/15/18) on Fiocchi 115 gr. fmj for 1000 rounds @$189. Excellent deal.

Appreciate you testing velocity, but that's not a valid accuracy test.
