    We just bought our first home in Lawrenceville 5 months ago! We couldn't be more happier. Quiet and friendly neighborboods, plus great public parks all around. One even has a waterfall 😀

      What are your thoughts on Conyers? What areas would you recommend for African American family moving to the Atlanta Metro area?

    My husband and I have been considering moving to Atlanta. We have Fayetteville and Douglasville as out options, but we have been leaning more towards Fayetteville because of the school district. We are a minority family so that is a concern for us.

      POC from Peachtree City here: my town was right next to Fayetteville here. I’m only half-Black but Fayetteville/PTC still feel like I’m in “Get Out”. It’s kind of racist buuuuuuut he did get safety right. A good chunk of Fayetteville is kind of a dump, but it’s been getting better.

      @@CerebralTombstone Uuh not true.
      If you want to discourage them from moving there then simply say it, but stop with racial games Ms. "half black."
      The demographic is 43.20% white, 38.59% Black, 7.19% asian and 5% other.

    This video is very helpful. Thank you. My wife and I are considering moving from Fort Lauderdale, the cost of living just keeps going up. And my wife desires to live in an area with changes of seasons. I am from Savannah and have lived in the Atlanta area, Jonesboro and Smyrna. My wife is hispanic, I am caucasian, and obviously moving from an international deverse place as S. Fl, a major metro area may be a good transition for her from the S. FL culture, rather than moving to my hometown of Savannah. We do not need to live very near to the city, she works from home and I can transfer to most any area. So 30 minutes or even an hour away from downtown is perfectly fine. Easy drive on weekends to enjoy the big city atmosphere would be great. Thanks again for the very helpful information.

    I would be a remote worker with a kid. She needs to be in a good school. I don't travel very much, maybe once a year. I like small town atmospheres with lots of family-friendly activities. I don't drive due to my mental and physical health issues. Any cities that work for me?

    Buford has recently built a ton of apartments around the Mall of Georgia which will make it more crime ridden and drag the school system down. Also because the Mall of Georgia is right there next to the city of Buford there is numerous restaurants, bars and shopping. Sadly this area has changed fast with Atlanta spread reaching it, makes me sick watching it happen.

      BCS doesn’t serve anyone around the MOG BCS Has historically had a fair bit of apartment neighborhoods and manufactured home neighborhoods. Almost nothing is being built within BCS

    South Fayetteville is a safe place to grow a family. Fairburn the schools aren't great compared to Fayette County schools district. I live in Peachtree City.

    How are the home prices in any of those areas now on a 5 bedroom home? Anything $350k in a family friendly area w/good schools.

    • @LivinginAtlantaTeam
      @LivinginAtlantaTeam  Год назад +1

      5 beds & good schools for $350k is a tall order. Your best bet is Buford (far from ATL) or maybe Lawrenceville.
