Sting should or should have done a full tour with Vince Gill. Vince would keep Sting in line as Sting seems to over sing when he is solo. He sounds much better with Vince backing him up. Vince's guitar helps as well.

Vince is perfectly happy as a side man or the go to guy either playing his own music or sitting in with one of the world’s best bands “The Eagles”.

Beautiful solo by Vince. Great bass playing by Sting and his vocals are, if anything, better than on the original. After close to 40 years that’s damned impressive.

I'm happy that people who wouldn't normally know about Vince are now experiencing his musicality as a member of the Eagles. Being an old guitar player I knew Vince was the real deal from the beginning.

The only other person I know of who is both a great singer and a great guitarist is George Benson. Gill is one of the most gifted musicians popular music has ever seen.

Years ago I seen Vince Gill in Silver Springs Florida Live. He had 9 Guitars behind Him. He played Lead Guitar on every Song. The ABSOLUTELY Best thing I Seen in Person ever!

He has the trio, the song writing, the singing, and the instrument (in his case the guitar). He is great at all three and that truly puts him among the GOATs. So many don't realize the talent he truly has.
I will also say this, he tends to hold back on the guitar. Performances like this when he gets down on the guitar, yeah he shows his true ability, and he makes it look so easy.
They could make a Hall of Fame just for Vince, he’s contributed so much to the music industry.

This is great. I remember going through my country phase in the 90’s and going to see Vince Gill in concert. It was one of my favorites. He had this special kind of warmth in his voice. I’m glad to see he’s still active.

One nice thing about Gill is it's always an honor for him to appear with other artists. I watched an interview where he said when the phone rings he always answers it. He's a very talented, humble guy who appreciates opportunities. No ego in him, just a class act.

I flew with Mustang for 2 years in the F-4 Phantom in VMFA-235 and love every minute of our flight time. Stang was a guitarist making his living as a fighter pilot.
For decades I've known that Vince's talent is immense, and that is also true of Sting. I expected this performance to be expert, nostalgic and enjoyable--but this is so much more, and I'm impressed. Vince's fantastic all-pro band is in the groove, and the solos from Vince and Sting are so beguiling ... Sting seems to enjoy it and no one misses a beat when they loop around. I'll stop now so I can give it my undivided attention again :-)
