The Tiger is currently getting serviced and fixed by Triumph.

Interesting. From the slow turnover I would guess this is a battery issue. My old VFR had a hot start problem, but the engine wouldn't even turnover when she was over 103 on a start.
Apparently the Triumphs come with some kind of protection that stops them even trying to turn over if the battery is low. Not sure I believe their explanation I posted to Twitter though...
It´s like in that movie Christine, you better watch out if your Tiger gets jealous…or maybe it´s just a lose battery cable :)
I'll do an update video soon, dealer called and it's a bit of a WTF as to why they say it happens.... Tiger will also get more jealous as looking at a 4 wheeled toy... ;-)
Do you plug in to the accessory outlet or draw off the alternator for devices? The alternators in Tigers have always been notoriously weak, and if you do draw from them for extended periods, it could result in the battery draining.
That said, since it started 3 minutes later, it may just be the hot start issue...
Tiger Sport doesn't have the accessory plug like the older 1050, I know WTF. But the bike is well ridden so battery condition is very good whenever I check it.
ive not yet had any problems with the speed triple... however it was so cold on my way home last night i got frost on my dials and it didnt even get upto the second bar on the temperature gauge...
Oh interesting. I've also had some fun with the dials. The fuel gauge a few times has decided to reset itself totally. It does come back after riding for a few miles but frustrating.
yeah i keep getting my fuel gauge drop 2 bars then go back up one!

@@philjonesuk hi , est ce que vous avez trouvé le problème de cette machine ? Un ami à moi a le même problème une tiger 1050 de 2008, le moteur à chaud ne démarre pas comme ici. Il faut attendre 10 mn le temps que le moteur refroidisse pour qu'il redémarre sans problème.
So in your description you describe her as "my now gorgeous girlfriend.". Does that mean that before this video she wasn't gorgeous?

Yeah she definitely got jealous there hahaha. Sounded like the battery but did triumph actually find anything wrong?
Not heard from Triumph but only been a day I guess. I doubt the battery as I was riding the bike a good 20 miles a day, every day of the week so should have been charged up. I think it might be temperature related tho.
yup might be it, i hope they find it out though. I had once with a previous bike a similar issue and it was the battery, turns out that one of the cells inside where faulty and very random the bike would crank but not start. However, your bike is new and there shouldn't be any issues.

What was the yellow flashing light on the dash? It went away by the end of the video
ABS light, goes off when you get above 5mph I believe. Normal apparently ;)
what kind of earplugs do you use? I got some inner ear ones but they are hurting a bit so thinking of getting foam ones..
I buy the Oxford Moldex ones off ebay, like £0.99p for a set of 2. I generally get through a set a week so it costs £1.98 per month. I like them because they are soft, easy to use and I can get a good snug fit in my ears

I do love my crumble sticker... it went very well crumble, she is a gorgeous and funny woman and for some reason agreed to be my girlfriend recently... ;-)
