Yeah out of curiosity, after this podcast, went to his channel and tried listening Pillayi sir with that guy but it was so dumb. I mean he was asking dumb questions, no disrespect.
I liked the part where Dr Pillai advocated for increasing the number of working women if we ever wanna succeed as a nation. Christopher Hitchens used to say this as an advice to developing nations (in his own sarcastic, condescending - but gonna make u introspect- way ). I love how he went one step further and said something along the lines of women don't just need money, they need financial independence of the sort that gives meaning to life's moments, like that is also a necessity, not just love, care, etc. This step further was new to me. Thanks for such an amazing insight.
This is sooo painfully accurate. My family always tells me that get the government job. They don't want me to serve society. They want the paycheck, the fame, the prevlaige, the perks.
@@ashutoshbundela3744 you have mentioned a fundamental practical point. Not to serve society but to get fame and money(which is a natural necessity of course, money factor I am saying)but that should not be the goal but an outcome of serving for the construction of the society.
Do you know about charakh, sushruta, varahamihira, bhaskarayacharya, brahmagupta, kapil muni, patanjali etc.. they were also great people. Just for knowledge if you are interested
Loved the podcast. I am 28 now, in the 4th year of my PhD in mechanical engineering at IIT. So academic career is my core field to settle down on mountains, I am learning counselling psychology, crypto trading and problem-solving as my side fields. and the fun thing was listening to it while writing a research paper on an entirely different topic.

We haven't even scratched the surface of Indian philosophy. Chanakya was one amongst many. There are many many Indian philosophers and scientists that we can so much learn from but sadly then it is given a religious angles by leftists.
@@anantambisht4895 I know. The problem with Indian Philosophy is people get triggered even if you disagree with it. Prakhar has at time disagreed with Jordan Peterson as well. This is why he is so reluctant to talk about Bhagwad Gita.
@@TopLobster11 he is still too far to understand bhagvat Gita , bhagvat is not philosophy , it is considered part of vedanta , it is spirituality which obviously prakhar has not explored much , it is better he keeps his mouth shut , he has already so many wrong interpretations of free state , thoughtlessness , pure consciousness , he is not well read .... Fact is , vedanta is read in schemes !!!!
10:02 - I am a student in grade 12th Humanities. We do that debating thing every day in a healthy manner which makes us think about the ideas and visualising the whole context in a different manner. There is a need to transform education completely. To train teachers to develop the Human Resource from a directionless human. Like we train military men in the INA.
Whether education needs to be transformed or just changed should be based on gradual discarding and adding. No one knows whether we need a total transformation or not.
Dr pillai is such a gentle person, he is always smiling.
